- Sirocco, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"Web Twenny" - when you're so ***** lame you just can't spit out Web 2.0, and can't even be bothered to spell twenty. I ***** hate all these buzz words :(
- volksport, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Wilson: It's more than a Web Tenny, and less than a Web Thirry.
- TheIrv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Twenny"? how tragically hip you are.
- chabuhi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can't believe they didn't mention the ultimate "cloud": http://www.marumushi.com/apps/newsmap/newsmap.cfm
- AttroPheed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Tag clouds are tackier than frames, animated gifs and a midi playing in the background all at the same time. Build in the ability to block categories ffs.
- Wilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What exactly is Web Twenny?

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i believe it's web 2.0
- sgarrity, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The Web Twenny is still in alpha - it's at http://www.WebTwenny.com
- engalicorn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1read that as web tranny... maybe i should have gone to sleep last night
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm sorry, that should be platypus to remove the ad, not aardvark
- thomashawk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool. When/where can we see it?
- ccheath, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think the idea of having a cloud sorted chronologically is pretty cool, but it would be good to have a choice to sort chrono/popular/alpha maybe.... and i agree with AttroPheed that catagory blocking per user would be nice...
more control to the users... let them put on their blinders if they want to - misterpony, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks for alerting us to Remove It Permeanently. But it has negative comments working w/ FF 1.5 on mozilla.org and I can't find any other sites that rate it. Adblock mostly works well now, so I'm hesitant to add RIP and screw something up. I may hold off for now and hopefully there'll be an update.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0roll your own digg adblocker with aardvark and greasemonkey.
Fire aardvark up, use it to remove the add, then save (make sure you name it ending with user.js, e.g. killDiggAds.user.js).
Open the .js in the browser and a install it into greasemonkey.
In greasemonkey manager, make sure the included file is "http://www.digg.com/*".

- boreddusty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Anyone know how to hide the add bar at the top of digg.com with firefox extension "adblock"? All I get is the text or Advertisement blocked but not the Gray ad background so you do don't gain any screen space for stories." -maddogg
Excellent question. I have wondered the same thing. Can anybody help with this?
I don't know how to do it with Adblock, but I've had success with the Remove It Permanently extension for Firefox:

But this one did: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/2597
Removes the ads and takes away the gray space! - boreddusty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nevermind about RIP anyways, I just realized that if you remove the div with RIP, you also remove the area where you type your username and password. Whoops.

Greasemonkey ( http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org ) + Digg Ad Remover script ( http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/581 ) = No more adds on digg.com - aliencode, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1TWENNY SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING HOMOSEXUAL OR TWINKY. WEB 2.0 AND ALL DESIGNER FAGS NEED TO GET A CLUE NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR FAGGITY *****.

- maddogg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0On the subject of digg.com design.
Anyone know how to hide the add bar at the top of digg.com with firefox extension "adblock"? All I get is the text or Advertisement blocked but not the Gray ad background so you do don't gain any screen space for stories.
just a question - jnorris441, on 10/12/2007, -3/+01. It's the number 2, not 20
2. It's spelled "Twenty" not "Twenny"
3. Web 2.0 is a misnomer anyway
4. Kill yourself
