- neutrino15, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18now that is NOT worth installing apollo for.
- deadowl, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12Yea, I don't think Apollo is available for Linux. Cross platform compatibility is a huge factor when I judge a piece of software.
- danimbrogno, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Unfortunately this one's at a bit of a disadvantage, a lot of people aren't going to install Apollo just to check how cool this App is. There should be a special mention to the best Apollo app.
- kenvsryu, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10Enough already!! We get it there's a digg contest where the winner will get a pc, while digg gets the intelectual property.
- jasondefaoite, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Thanks, now I know why there was no screenshot on the developers site...
- holyskeleton, on 10/11/2007, -0/+56MB? are you sure its adobe? oh its alpha nevermind.
- ilkeryoldas, on 10/11/2007, -6/+11OK, This is Lame
- a3r0, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Does each visualization need it's own digg story?
- PathDaemon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I was willing to install Apollo. It's relatively lightweight, has a good install/uninstall system for apps, and is from Adobe, whom I trust to some extent. I know it's virtually useless at the moment, but
I have a couple of issues with these apps. For one (this applies on Macs only) the applications install to the nonstandard ~/Applications, which doesn't exist for most people. As well, the Digg apps request UNRESTRICTED SYSTEM ACCESS which even the Apollo install utility warns about.
This application also seems completely useless (it's showing all stories with one or two diggs), is full screen (nearly), and has an ass interface and icon. Seriously, why the hell is Digg peddling this particular app?
Also, why must all entries get on the farking front page??? That's for news! - neutrino15, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5WHY are you using apollo? WHY!!?!?!??!
Please just get over it and write it in Java or something. While Java on the mac absolutely sucks, it is better than having to install yet more extra software... - arpitmathur, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The screenshot way up isnt very representative. Here is another: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=500306105&size=o
The size of each story is based on how many diggs it got and the color fades as they get older - kidcodea, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2ppl talk of installing apollo as if they didnt had to install flash...
- war59312, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Installing Apollo causes my PC to blue screen. Running vista 32bit. :(
- syafthegeek, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2This is a coo apps but it's black. Makes my eyes hurt.
- szembek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What is apollo and why the ***** would I want to install it to look at this stupid digg.
- Pingspike, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Sat there for ages and did nothing o.0
Saw the picture but not really sure of the point of this thing frankly... - Pomotep, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Oh man I was so close to installing this, had my mouse hovering over the button. I decided to check out the comments just in case, and saw the screen shot. It's so pointless and is pretty Fugly. Why wouldn't you just use the Digg site?!?
- stephanhuber, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0the approach isn't really new: see newsmap http://www.marumushi.com/apps/newsmap/ for a similar solution.
- onedeadgod, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Wow. That looks like *****. Must be a Web 1.0 thing..
- darkhero, on 10/11/2007, -7/+6***** Apollo!

- darkhero, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3I refuse to turn on my PC. ***** APOLLO. PIECE OF *****!
- digitalme, on 10/11/2007, -8/+6Oh for heaven's sake, stop using Apollo already!
- Wailord, on 10/11/2007, -11/+1Well, they have Flash or Apollo. They prefer one, so...deal.
