I’ve heard a lot of people say that they like that they get more zoom out of their lenses and they don’t have to get a super telephoto lens to get telephoto results with a 1.5x or 1.6x conversion factor.
This article explains it better so that people will realize with a full frame sensor they take advantage of the full range of their lens. If they want that extra zoom that they get with a conversion factor, they can just crop the photo with the full frame image and it’s essentially the same thing with the added benefit of not having to get special digital only lenses that go really wide to get back the wide angle they lose with a 1.5x conversion.
Another good point being that an 18mm lens on my canon is “equivalent” to 29mm with a full frame sensor, but you still get the perspective of an 18mm lens but are just not using the outer edges that you can’t see with a small sensor…
… can’t wait until full frame sensors are mainstream! (or until I can afford one at least)
