- zosoIV, on 08/07/2008, -3/+164Digg needs a creative business card design section.
- thaitan, on 08/07/2008, -1/+68Let's see Paul Allen's card.
Look at that subtle off-white coloring.
The tasteful thickness of it.
Oh, my God. It even has a watermark. - roastedbagel, on 08/07/2008, -1/+61Wow, I'm not on Digg everyday, and yet I've seen this probably 5 times in the past year. Super.
- rynTAU, on 08/07/2008, -12/+61If it's not:
a) the thickness of normal business cards
b) one piece
c) normal business card size
d) rigid (cloth, seriously?)
then it's a waste of time, people are more likely to throw them away. That rules out about half of these. Formally, the like nice.. but functionally they suck. - Insomniac33, on 08/07/2008, -0/+34Impressive, very nice.
Let's see Paul Allen's card. - inactive, on 08/07/2008, -2/+33I once saw a creative business card. It was for an abortion clinic, and was printed on a broken condom.

Both creative and functional. - pxmm, on 08/07/2008, -2/+27These are all really innovative ways of making you remember the person, but I'm sure there's a danger of people forgetting that they ARE a business card with them being so far removed from convention. Also, Patrick Bateman would KILL you for having the idea for these before him....
- anarchynow, on 08/07/2008, -5/+27Surely makes my card look boring!
- zeroeth, on 08/07/2008, -0/+22These have nothing on Paul Allen's card
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoIvd3zzu4Y - jorichter, on 08/07/2008, -1/+22I disagree. I think that people are more likely to keep a really interesting/creative business card over a plain one. Or at least it will be one that says in their mind.
Obviously it depends on who you are targeting, but I do think the majority of people would prefer an interesting card. - mahavishnu108, on 08/07/2008, -0/+12Jesus. That is really super. How'da nitwit like you get so tasteful?
- Splitter402, on 08/07/2008, -0/+11Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?
- ozid, on 08/08/2008, -0/+11what color is that?
they call it 'bone'. - rynTAU, on 08/07/2008, -0/+9I'm all for creativity. Punch holes in it, make it out of metal, transparent plastics are all cool techniques.. Hell, i've even seen a sweet one that burned a hole through, leaving scorch marks against a white background. But if i meet you in the street and you give me something i can't put in my wallet like a peanut, it's probably not lasting very long.
Form follows function.. the modernists had it right.. :) - georgeketigian, on 08/07/2008, -5/+14They forgot Kevin Mitnick's card, which is one of the most creative I've seen:

Here you go my friend. - ycohain, on 08/07/2008, -3/+11It seems like every few weeks another post about business card designs shows up, yet I still seem to digg each new post.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/07/2008, -3/+10No I don't, and stop calling me Shirley!
- haxderek, on 08/07/2008, -0/+6Don't just stare at it, eat it!

Enough already. - DesignNerd, on 08/07/2008, -2/+7Well maybe you should tell her to dress up once in a while
Buh dum Tish - ChstrCopperpot, on 08/07/2008, -0/+5I'd be a little annoyed if i got handed a couple peanuts to put in my wallet.
- serif69, on 08/07/2008, -2/+7Being in a creative field, I don't want to network with someone who thinks my non-traditional card should go in the bin because it doesn't follow "the rules".
- publicproperty, on 08/08/2008, -0/+4best quote ever.
- publicproperty, on 08/08/2008, -0/+4OMG it even has a watermark.
- inactive, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4ahaha nice!
- stackered, on 08/08/2008, -0/+4Seriously... there is a completely different site with 20+ new business cards every ***** week. Its more annoying than using XKCD to tell which day of the week it is.
- dirtvoyles, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4FFS. How many times can this get posted and still make it to the front page?
- digitaldivinci, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4Even getting something as simple as Moo Business cards are something that help you stand out. I picked up some when I signed up for Flickr and they look really sharp.
- edstittle, on 08/07/2008, -2/+5I'm normally not one to complain about things being repeated on digg but seriously, enough of these stupid business card design submitions. Once you've seen a few you've seen them all. Just boring.
- publicproperty, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3thats a legendary card

24 Creative Business Email Addresses That Just Got Added to Spam Lists Around the World - mywhitenoise, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3God damn you, you beat me to the American Psycho reference!
::edit:: it appears you were also beaten. - aserer511, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3I was waiting for the Bateman references
- Mizzike, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3I was about to say the same thing, but then I clicked the link and it turns out these are different from the last batch... so I decided not to bury, even though the URL has a 2 in it. (The other submission got 5 diggs and was for a different site, so this one wasn't a dupe of that one.)
- o5rob5o, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3my business cards are creative they just say
Rob C
Plant Enthusiast - heavenprint, on 08/07/2008, -3/+62 GB usb memory stick is the best business card I've ever received. Fits right in your wallet and stays there!
- robrandtoul, on 08/07/2008, -1/+4More cool business cards. http://www.plasmadesign.co.uk/plasticbusinesscards ... and http://www.plasmadesign.co.uk/metalbusinesscards.h ... (as demonstrated by Woz a few times).
- themastersb, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2You don't have a business card. Enjoy your blank piece of paper.
- pepemt, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2WHERE do people get these printed? I've been trying to find somewhere to print my cards on cork and can only find a place in Italy...
- elveis, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2If I give you a stack of 20 business cards, 19 "normal" ones, and one 3 dimensional folded design that has AVN.com printed on it, have you to quickly scan through them and then ask you ten minutes later which one you remember, what do you think the answer will be?
- graeh, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2I disagree. It depends on the context.
Some business cards need to perform a primarily utilitarian task, and exist in a conservative space where traditional form and design is most appropriate.
Some are used for breaking through to grab attention for networking, sales, marketing etc.
As with most creative - its domain and context inform what's appropriate and what's not.
I've seen first hand how a business card 1/2 the height but the same width as traditional measurements has become a talking point and left an impression which was good for the company on the card. It's function was to be noticed, create a talking point, and stay noticed; rather than suck, functionally it rocked. - BlueLove775, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2Two words: American Psycho.
- marcoponce, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2I might have to JACK me some designs :P
- locamama, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2I agree that some might accidentally be thrown in the trash because they don't look enough like a traditional business card. They are still very creative.
- BXRWXR, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2Tobias Funke M.D.
Analrapist - rynTAU, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2Not to keep harping on this, but I'm in the creative field too. Breaking "the rules" just for the sake of breaking the rules is lame. It's like building a house with no roof. There might be some cool theory as to why you had to do it that way, but if its not functional, try again..
- kwasmosis, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2Half of these are the same busienss cards as posted before though.
I mean they are really great designs but I've seen most of them already, twice. -
