      There's definitely only 5 horses; 4 adults and 1 colt.

      and i found 6 horses, and cant for the life of me figure out where #7 is supposed to be.

Perhaps some predatory or defensive feature the hardwired into our brains. So while the artist may only have put 11 faces in there intentionaly, some people may see more, or they may see faces where other people don't.

I remember it had a black cover and maybe a rainbow on the front, and the name of the book started with P. Does anyone know the book series I'm talking about?
    I must have seen them about 20 years ago.
