- mathguru1, on 10/12/2007, -11/+24This is really cool. It reminds me of an expensive automatic watch.
- crumbelievable, on 10/12/2007, -111/+45If that's the coolest, this is second: http://beeks.eu/swf/handclock.swf
- floridiot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+157Time flies by when you're... watching it move across the screen.

Wow, a normal clock. - grooviekenn, on 10/12/2007, -37/+9@crumbelievable
That's actually one of the lamest.... - crumbelievable, on 10/12/2007, -6/+36Ok point taken. No one likes the handwriting clock. Move on.
- strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15@crumbelievable
Actually, that is pretty sweet. Ignore everyone else. It looks really cool when there are a number of fields changing at once. - jocnnor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34@crumbelievable
That clock is different. I like different :-). Problem is, when you click on your link the site redirects you to
http://beeks.eu/swf/Railway.swe which...is the lamest clock on the internet. If it redirects you again...just manually type in http://beeks.eu/swf/handclock.swf ...or figure something out. - blanski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Oh wow, yeah. I was redirected to http://beeks.eu/swf/Railway.swe and dugg you down as well. Sorry!
- migs87, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I had no Idea this many people could comment a simple clock idea.
- qasabah, on 10/12/2007, -13/+0If you make your eyes go like those "Magic Eye" books it looks like a set of stairs going down to the seconds.
http://www.darwinsmoustache.com - Blizaine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+35I've been staring at it for hours, trying to get it to move backwards, like the guy on Heroes, and I think it just did....
I've been staring at it for hours, trying to get it to move backwards, like the guy on Heroes, and I think it just did.... - CoffeeCup, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5This clock has been around longer than Jesus.
- qasabah, on 10/12/2007, -9/+0Did my comment get dugg down because you guys see a sailboat or something?

Change the URL preferences in the screen saver option and make sure you have the .Net2.0 framework installed. - retral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Too bad it doesn't count up from when time it was made..
- ThePottsDome, on 10/12/2007, -2/+47Very nice ! That would make a cool screen saver.

I'll stick to screwing my girlfriend, and leave the clock screwing to you all.
- capitocapito, on 10/12/2007, -2/+39@Eccohawk:
You're right. I better stick to just screwing your girlfriend, too.
j/k. - dongiaconia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+33Dude, penguins aren't inanimate.

- sporktek, on 10/12/2007, -7/+6I always liked the handwritten digital clock (also found by clicking on the linked clock).
Back in the day I set it as an Active Desktop item and it was really cool.- sporktek, on 11/01/2007, -0/+2And aparently. . . I suck for that. Diggers are smrt.
- tombomb, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4It was awesome, don't get me wrong, but I prefer the Binary clock.
- Jiffylush, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0I think it would be better inverted, so you would read it top to bottom
very cool though - NKUmike, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14Yeah I always liked this clock:
http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/clock.php
But that one is cool since its a calendar too.- prosinader, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13I bet that guys arm gets tired from all that writing.
- Gigabyte, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The clock you linked to is a calender as well...
- alej744, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9worst clock ever
http://beeks.eu/swf/desenho.swf
- rynoon, on 10/12/2007, -38/+9People are easily impressed nowadays.
- rynoon, on 10/12/2007, -39/+9"He dodn't like da purdy clock! Digg him durn!"
- ProximaC, on 10/12/2007, -8/+31Aww, it's not cause you didn't like the clock, it's cause you insult anyone who does like it by saying they're "easily impressed".
To dumb it down for you, I believe you're being dugg down cause yer a dick. - rynoon, on 10/12/2007, -34/+4I'm sorry. Clearly anybody who is impressed by a clock is a genius. Better?
- cello, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Make something better then.
- ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Will do!
- zaqintosh, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3I have to say, I'm actually embarassed to admit that I think this is cool.. but its cool :)
Kudos to the guy who made it - GrendelT, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1I always liked this Clock:

Ft. Collins, CO - FTW!!1! - dognose, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1lame.

wget http://somesite.com/blahblah.swf
There you go. - brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6No, I meant I want a physical clock that I can mount to a wall or set on a desk that works like that.
- vandread, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10just get a tablet PC and run the screensaver 24/7 and hang it on your wall.
You too can have this wall mounted clock for somewhere between 1 and 1.5k - junkmail02, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2as opposed to your fake life on the net?
- PlaidPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just do one of those DIY projects where you turn a ten-year-old laptop into a digital picture frame and run this all the time.
- Nerys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Well you can get older tablet computers with 10.4 inch screens that would run this just fine for around $50-$150 - in fact if the CPU can handle it you can even get older B&W screen tablets for cheaper that should work fine for this (not sure how processor intensive it is)
- lambmj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@Nerys
Very cpu intensive. Pegged my relatively modern (but non-duo) cpu. - drenader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is

- rynoon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22If you're going to quote Pink Floyd could you at least get the lyrics right?
- Skinner72, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day.....
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Hmm, damn, no Mac version. I'm sure there are programs to convert, so hopefully someone will provide.
- kunalthakar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The website says:
"Several very interesting clock Macromedia shockwave flash files are packed in this screensaver."
Hmm... I want it to run for Linux. Any idea how to do that? - mingistech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6you can use this to convert the swf into a Mac ScreenSaver. :)
http://www.screentime.com/software/swfd/index.html - PlaidPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Can you not just dl the flash app and run it with your browser?
- kunalthakar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The website says:
- obrysii, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Very very cool. But as a screen saver, couldn't it potentially cause burn-in?
- ProximaC, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Only if you're using a monitor that's 15 years old. Modern monitors don't suffer image burns.
- dixonHill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@proximac
I have a couple new Dell "UltraSharp 2007WFP" monitors. If I leave the same image up on them for a couple days, I'll see ghosts of that image for hours. Not sure if there's some threshold of time beyond which the ghosts would not disappear, but because of this issue I can't use a screensave like this. :-( - kbeeveer46, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I also get burn-in on my Viewsonic 17" LCD that's only a year and half old. When I minimize FF I can see the border of the browser on my screen for the entire day. Not until I turn the monitor off at night will it go away.
- drewskyjones, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Really cool. I remember being impressed with the human clock and the handwritten clock too.
http://www.humanclock.com/clock.php
http://home.tiscali.nl/annejan/swf/handclock.swf - alienvenom, on 10/12/2007, -18/+5Oh my god. This crap has been around for AGES. Please don't post random links you find from the StumbleUpon Firefox extension.
- arduenn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Agree. It'll probably turn up every five years or so.
- jakk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Less than that, the average cycle seems to be about 2 weeks these days..
- Mandarynn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Maybe this is new to someone else even though you saw it AGES ago. Don't like it? Move on, Gramps!
- Blabster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6What kind of news title is that? lol
Guess anything goes with 3 exclamation marks and CAPS!!! - Uruviel, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2December seems to be partially in 2008.
- Uruviel, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Nevermind I read that wrong.
- EbowUK, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4Buried for being years old.
Must be a slow news day if this rubbish is making the front page. - Plopfish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7-This is your life and it's ending, one minute at a time.-
- weprin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This would make a really really cool wristwatch!
Of course it would have to be circular. I think the energy required to move the whole dial may be too great to do it with a purely mechanical watch, though. - fleischner, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The Human Clock is kinda cool too, IMO: http://www.humanclock.com/clock.php
(sorry, you beat me to this, drewskyjones) - OrlyonokEaglet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32008 is closer than i thought... j/k
but how were the widths of row elements chosen? They seem arbitrary.- OrlyonokEaglet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3OK I get it, you only have 1/2 of the total number of seconds/minutes/hours/days/months on the screen. So that's 30 spaces for seconds, 30 for minutes, 12 for hours, 3.5 for days, 15/15.5 for calendar days, 6 for months and only for years you have an arbitrary number of about 3.75 years on screen.
I also noticed the hue of the background changes very slowly. I don't know how that's correlated to the clock though.

- 3rdeyepro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Reminds me of my Nixon watch: http://www.nixonnow.com/watches/mens/the-rotolog-A028.html
- griz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Does it use the system clock or is it fed from another clock. Either way, it is dead on to my system clock. Simple, NICE!!
I want one for my wall.- jeaguilar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Uses the time off your computer.
- BKDotCom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Am I the only one that thinks this would be better if it were circular?
All the values loop sans year- urandom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nope, the Mayans did.
- ahawks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That would make one badass wrist watch.
1 static "hand", and several dials rotating beneath it.
- urandom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nope, the Mayans did.
- csanberg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0that's for sure
- jeaguilar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11
- avolant, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1can you say "chartjunk"?
- anjesh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0creative job!!
- kingfarook, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yawn. 963 diggs and it finally got to the front page. What a shame.
- chrisdaniels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's creative but really not usable at all. How long did it take you to recognize the date/time? How long does it take you when looking at a normal analog clock? How long when looking at a digital clock?
- juraj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1if you get used to it...
- mindovermatter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0so very very badass...
- TheDeceiver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1very old, but very good =D
- irishpunk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Seriously, the first words that came out when that loaded up was wtf.
- Dracos, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Flash is over, people. This would be much cooler if it was done in SVG, or even plain hmtl+css+js.
- fantal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Am I the only one who thinks this is lame?
How the hell does crap like that get 1400+ diggs? - Airic765, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Just wait until Leopard comes out for OSX and you can turn that page into a widget for your dashboard.
- capitocapito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Its a good thing that there are three exclamation points, because I wouldn't have dugg it for only two.
- azephyr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I think the new Ambient Clock is cooler:
http://ambientclock.com
It shows you YOUR calendar. - karrock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cool, but someone needs to make this into a mechanical clock! Seven rotating brushed aluminum rings -- now *that* would be sweet!
- gu014, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0October 25, 2006. 2:42pm top right corner works for me.....
- Ben174, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Shrink your browser done so it's as short and wide as possible and you'll see the end of time as we know it.
- goleopards1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Ridiculous!
