Beautiful Paper Art
iamboredr.com — Peter Callesen, an extremely talented artist who cut beautiful masterpiece using a flat piece of paper. This is truly awesome.

- digg it
- shtefcs, on 10/23/2007, -7/+15It's amazing.
- firebhaal, on 10/21/2007, -1/+5Long picture is long.
- Locke2053, on 10/23/2007, -3/+10Quick! Post the most most obvious comment as quickly as possible so that you can get lots if diggs despite being completely devoid of insight or originality! Oh, wait...
- fhornplayer, on 10/21/2007, -0/+3But not AMAZING or THE BEST THING YOU'LL SEE ALL DAY. Thus, dugg.
- mobster0, on 10/21/2007, -3/+8Very cool
- qtipju, on 10/21/2007, -9/+4Down after 32 diggs?
- Sozin, on 10/21/2007, -6/+0Is it down?
- kaniz, on 10/21/2007, -0/+66http://www.petercallesen.com/ - how about linking to the original content? (not to mention this is about the 50th time its been on digg) anyways)
- epuiatti, on 10/21/2007, -6/+6i agree with your first comment. But 2nd not, i have been coming to digg for a couple of months andhave never seen this before, im sure newcomers wouldnt mind seeing it also. Dont be a selfish bastard and constantly want new things
- shealer, on 10/21/2007, -4/+4Wait, what? One, I've seen this on Digg twice in the last 2 or 3 months. Two, wanting new things, on a website that encourages new things and to bury dupes, makes you a selfish bastard? If you've been here for a couple of months, you should know that you are wrong in this by now.
- Ibox, on 10/21/2007, -2/+3So, did you think that clicking on this submission was gunna produce something different this time... or do you just like going to stuff youve already seen so you can whine about it.

- cyrix, on 10/21/2007, -1/+4Can we please just give up with duggmirror? It pretty much NEVER works.
- musicfreak87, on 10/21/2007, -5/+4Who knew that paper could be so beautiful.
- joegibes, on 10/21/2007, -0/+3Question mark?
- rhesusattack, on 10/21/2007, -8/+1How many times am I going to see this on the front page?
- Ibox, on 10/21/2007, -1/+2Not enough.
- D3koy, on 10/21/2007, -1/+15The only one I might ever be able to make: http://www.petercallesen.com/index/images/web.jpg
- soupmantexas, on 10/21/2007, -5/+0wasn't working for me
- sitefinder, on 10/20/2007, -2/+1duggmirror:
http://72.14.253.104/search?hs=sUq&hl=en&lr=&c2cof ...- SWiG, on 10/20/2007, -1/+2He says after linking to an uncached (at least for me) Google cache. Is duggmirror the new Kleenex, AstroTurf or Band Aid around here?
- monoxido, on 10/21/2007, -1/+1old stuff... but great anyways...
- cliquee, on 10/21/2007, -3/+1link down...
- miqal, on 10/21/2007, -4/+23by qtipju: "Down after 32 diggs?"
Why do people make these comments? Diggs do not represent how may people viewed the story.- TaylorSmythe, on 10/21/2007, -3/+9That's true, but we don't see the views. Diggs are the only easy measure we have of a site's popularity. He's not incorrect in saying that the site went down after 32 Diggs.
Furthermore, learn to use the comment system, and stick a turkey baster in your ass. - spudnic, on 10/21/2007, -0/+4To say there is no correlation is pretty idiotic.
I'd go as far as saying the number of page views per digg for stories is probably fairly uniform.

- solidcube, on 10/21/2007, -8/+2This is older than god.
- ZombieNinja, on 10/27/2007, -4/+2I think you may be exaggerating , I'm quite old INDEED
- Ladymongoose, on 10/21/2007, -1/+0but far more interesting
- ZombieNinja, on 10/21/2007, -3/+1Berry Berry Kewl
- ookxtreme, on 10/21/2007, -1/+2pretty sweet..... some talented people out there working in the strangest mediums. (meant in a good way)
- Neuticals, on 10/21/2007, -1/+2That's the coolest ***** I've seen in quite some time...
- hellokittyownsu, on 10/21/2007, -2/+0Guess what you need to wipe off that *****.
- IceZZ, on 10/27/2007, -7/+2You know, very cool, and the guy is talented, but he is very much a one trick pony in that display of artwork. Every picture is the same formula: is a flat sheet, maybe with drawing on it, with some parts cut out and then made in 3d on the frame base below. The "cleverness" wears off quickly. I can think of thousands of these exact pieces of artwork of the top of my head using that theme. Time to try something else, show us your other skills.
- IceZZ, on 10/22/2007, -4/+2Update: if you go to his website, rather than the rip-off link in the article, you can see he does have some other paper projects, although many less successful than this one. I like the castle in particular. So... maybe he has something going after all. The poster should have posted his original website.
- crispyX, on 10/22/2007, -1/+1You IceZZ, you are official on my hitlist.
prick.
- JrGhoull, on 10/21/2007, -1/+3holy moly...this is outstanding work.
1000 diggs to anyone who can find a tutorial on how to make these (or at least the more complicated ones) - XBackstabberX, on 10/21/2007, -2/+3So beautiful
- Azmeos, on 10/21/2007, -2/+3so simple, yet so elegant
- Pulpfiction23, on 10/21/2007, -0/+5Doesn't anyone realize that this is an obvious atrocity against nature, innocent pieces of paper being put to waste for "art", environmentalists attack!
- whitey9, on 10/21/2007, -0/+2This is the coolest thing that repeatedly and consistently makes the frontpage of digg.
- Leion, on 10/21/2007, -0/+2Nice. Worthy to see again
- Ladymongoose, on 10/21/2007, -0/+2Wow, I can't even make a paper airplane. That guy is incredible.
- stuckinOK06, on 10/21/2007, -0/+2I want his scissors.
- jamcrackers, on 10/21/2007, -2/+01000+ diggs, 45 comments? come on people reading your comments is waaay more boring that looking at this paper art.
- osmans, on 10/21/2007, -0/+0Before the closeup on the bird i thought it was a still life of a bird ***** on something
- oldcyborg, on 10/21/2007, -0/+2I had not seen this before. It creates calmness and the feeling of patience in me. It is awesome art, by any standard!!
Cyborg- fhornplayer, on 10/22/2007, -0/+1Don't sign your posts.
- mattop, on 10/22/2007, -0/+0interesting.... that must have taken a long time on some of those to do...
- Courtneymarie, on 10/23/2007, -0/+0I would love to see these pieces of art in person. I am sure seeing how the light reacts to different planes makes the pieces even more visually interesting.
