It has a lot more tools and possibilities. - mousy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11It's not that amazing.
- zcreem, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Damn you the other Dam holds back a ***** load of water.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Everyone check your Digg bingo sheets, be sure to mark "amazing" off.
- SimonGray, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I made a prototype application in Javascript which also features PictoChat-like drawing. No proprietary Flash plugin required, although it requires support for the element featured in the HTML 5 spec (Firefox features this).
http://monkeyblog.org/cmc/datalogi
It's just a prototype made for a Programming class, so the design isn't spectacular. - TheBigJ149, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4In all honesty, i don't get why this is here... It keeps popping up but when I read the comments all I see are negative responses, and when I go to the site, I am far from impressed. =?

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I've seen better years ago.
Check out the "on-line" category of http://svg.startpagina.nl for similar, but better things.
And that's not in Flash of course :-) - roamzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Lame! If you want to paint and chat, find a site that has paintchat installed, like
http://chat.paintchat.jp/~aotama/paintchat01/paintchat.html - Hydraulix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3um, wtf?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queef - dDuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think comparing any drawing tool to MS Paint, whether vector or not, is a valid benchmark for a graphics application (online or not). On a scale of one to ten in sophistication, MS Paint is zero, and Photoshop is 10 (well, in reality about 8 but for arguments sake...). Surely we can agree that online tools such as these are inspired by offline ones such as MS Paint. Now while I appreciate that the coding in this is very good, I just think overall the concept is flawed from the outset. Trying to harmonise drawing and chat is not gonna work unless it has some power in the appplication. It could work if it was a high end application, which could contribute to collaborative projects in realtime that would be real cool, but as it stands it is too simplistic and limited, it just begs for more features. I'm sure it wil get an audience, just that I won't be part of it.
"like it looks youre wondering why there is no fill tool around in flash-based drawing tools - take a look at the flash-drawing api and show us a website which can do the filling-job!
And I don't care if no one else can do it, this is such a weak argument! You can't try and justify bad applications by comparing it to what's out there, I have photoshop, I have skype -- I CAN TALK AND DESIGN AT THE SAME TIME! I can ftp someone in seconds an update, and I have a fill tool... one of possibly 1000's of advanced features within my choice application. Granted, such a tool is overkill for most people, but an oversimplification such as this excuse for a drawing application is not needed by anyone. - JRBlack10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, great tool.
- blackpipe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1meh. Queefy's just not doing it for me.
If youre bored and feeling sketchy, Sketchswap (http://www.sketchswap.com/) is kinda fun. draw something, submit, and get a random sketch sent back...
also if you want to talk about amazingly huge collaboration, there's always Drawball (http://www.drawball.com/) - dDuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow.... spent about 10 seconds on the site. Got the pencil, drew a few lines, couldn't find the 'fill' tool, decided there are better ways to chat anyway and closed tab. Whoever designed it thought 'we have to get some social networking involved, it's like, so web 2.0 you know?" even though drawing, and chatting are two distinct and separate things... However I COULD understand it if this was a professional drawing package which offered collaborative features for project management, but it doesn't does it, it is worse that MS Paint. This is really far from amazing, it stinks.
- distrbnce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Amazing? Or terribly lame and generic whiteboard?
And how is this getting diggs? - wwwdot1jesdotus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I don't get it. What's cool about this again?
- badken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wait, so you mean I can draw *and* chat online? With millions of other interweb users across the globe? Wow, that's really amazing!
- datastorageguy, on 10/12/2007, -7/+8Stop saying things are amazing when they aren't. Dam you...
- zcreem, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I only need an awesome for house.
- tombomb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah I really wanna get on a site with 13 year-olds who have nothing better to do than to draw pictures of dicks...
- Ratteler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Buryied because it's in Hiltereeze. Learn to speak English when you program non-amazing flash crap.
- econofast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow, I built almost this exact same thing in 2000, with Flash 4. Back then, i thought it was too cheesy to even post it.
- whiteguysamurai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1my dude was lookin' pretty sweet before some jerkface drew a blue line on him.
- kitkatsavvy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3What the hell does Queeky mean?
mmmm............ geeky,,queeky..sneaky.. ok ok someone tell me pls. thanks lol - JPresEFnet, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3you are amazingly easily impressed
- NinjAlt, on 10/12/2007, -8/+8Wow, just what we needed! A rehash of the DS pictochat fad of people drawing penises and calling people fags.
- UltimaNut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not that bad really. Im there now,.
- NoJohnDoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seconded, corpirate !!!
I don't know what all these flames r about. Queeky is neat and fun; I like the parallel drawing-option much - although I wish there was a option to generate a temporare and password-locked 'conference'sketch-book where some creative teamworking could happen, with some more pages that just one.
And just think about all the other implementations you could so with such an online-drawing (and saving!)-Tool. .. i.e creating your own dynamic Banner implementaded in your homepage! - Vorge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0All these tools are fantastic, but does anyone know of a tool that can be purchased to use on your own website?
- Wuss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0www.collab.nl , several years old. Much better app. Video, Sound, text chat and white board all live streaming. It's incredible what 5 year old flash server technology can do!!!
- corpirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Finally the Queeky-Drawing-Tool has a filling-option.
You can even choose a gradient fill and enable transparence... - corpirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yea, such a conference-tool would be great!
why dont you post that idea on the queeky-blog? - LostInTheWired, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is actually very cool. The difficulty of creating such an application is staggering. And it's kind of cool for those of use who...like to draw. It's probably for those people. These are really bad about attracting...well...you folks (no offense). Since most of digg is all about the technology and games craze (not saying I'm not, I love 'em), they really don't care about this like I do. It's actually a very cool application that I can draw with a bunch of art buddies and just have some fun. I can do that with Imagination Cubed, that's true. But with something as open and public as this, I can meet people.
- corpirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0queeky does this too. you can add a simple javascript-code to your website and the queeky-drawing-interface will be displayed. for free and without any commercials ;)
attention: you must change the line Referer="http://www.yourdomain.de";
type the domain of the homepage where you install the tool instead of "www.yourdomain.de"
e.g: if your website would be digg.com, you would have to change the line in Referer="http://www.digg.com";
here ist the link to the js-code: http://www.queeky.com/draw/?id=A-2-Q-en.c142 - corpirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i like queeky even more that the sites you guys linked here.
the most amazing thing is that you can download the painted pictures as a .swf file, and use it in flash ! -> there u can print it, export it or whatever
this tool definately is more useful than artpad or www.imaginationcubed.com
I'll digg it ! - soccer4452, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0I just want a 13 year old...like a guy. we can do lots of stuff together.
- jkondo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0See also this.
http://willustrator.org/ - tiagocardoso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another place to draw online, this time, Comic Strips is http://www.mainada.net/comicssketch/
Have fun with it :) - corpirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0web2.0 is a process, not yet a fact. social networking? what about downloading the at any place drawed pictures and using them in flash at your homebase? or using the drawing tool on your own homepage? what about sharing ideas and drawing pictures together?
like it looks youre wondering why there is no fill tool around in flash-based drawing tools - take a look at the flash-drawing api and show us a website which can do the filling-job!
it is worse than ms-paint? man, theres not much relation! or am i bad informed and ms-paint is available as an online-tool already??? (beside: paint is a pixel-program, not vektor)
i would be glad if you think before you type! - corpirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ye, of course this i no alternative to photoshop.
Or even to skype.
But I think its a neat tool for talented designers: how to reach a cool result with minimum premises. This app rocks: http://www.queeky.com/draw/gallery/redraw.php?play=true&pic=98 - tiagocardoso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.mainada.net/inputdraw is a Flash component that enables you to add drawing areas to your form inputs.
Here is the digg : http://www.digg.com/software/Add_a_drawing_componet_to_your_site_Ultra_portables_will_thank_you
from the site:
is a cross-browser, fast, simple to integrate widget to use in your forms as a drawing tool and everywhere else as a viewer.
It uses SVG as a describing language of drawing. Being a standard, SVG can afterwards be use be a large number of applications, widgets and libraries.
In order to use this widget, you dont need to be a programmer or even know any web programming language like PHP, Ruby, Python, .net, Java, Smalltalk, etc.. Actually, you only need to know some html, what a form is and our JavaScript command to make it work.
uses flash technology so almost everyone can use it. Remember that there are more installations of flash than windows. - mixartdotcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.ratemydrawings.com/ - Another online drawing site with a big community. There are a few variations of these types of sites around, each with their own pros and cons. You have to admit - before the days of online design communities if someone told you there was this website where you could draw online (be it simple) and watch other peoples drawings being animated - it's a cool age we live in! It's a great way for artists to learn from one another.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Digg down this frickin' spam. This ***** has been around for ages on countless other websites like http://www.collab.nl.
- Llanowar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Wow, it has got the most amazing BASIC drawing tools!
- kitkatsavvy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Queef isn't a word either........mmmm oh well LOL.. i hope someone makes some kind of definition for it... it seems a cool word to make at least a wiki just for the hell of it..
- xobecide, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Queef + Geeky
- kitkatsavvy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2oh right. that's the website's name (der...).... but i still don't think this word Queeky has made the English dictionary yet.. oh well..sounds cool for a potential word..
- asteron, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3I am digging this DOWN for the superfluous 'AMAZING' in the font. This annoying digg tactic is becoming epidemic and must be discouraged.
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3that site cause macromedia to hvae a fit at me and firefox to screw up
- Hydraulix, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Blue!
