- anitab83, on 10/10/2007, -10/+64I almost never thumb-up tutorials, but wow, that's pretty awesome.
- spargett, on 10/10/2007, -1/+37Thanks, very cool tutorial. There are too many tutorials out there where they teach you how to make the most hideous stuff known to 1994.
- LordSkywalker, on 10/10/2007, -4/+32Woah! So totally awesome! Love the tutorial. Thanks dude!
*puts hand out to be paid like the others* - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+32BRAVO! That is some very professional looking results! I can really use this! Thanks!
- Assezdefromage, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22but you still digg the article. you only thumb comments.
- MavRevMatt, on 10/10/2007, -6/+23What is that green button I happen to see... a thumb?
- xike, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16I welcome "spam" anytime it comes with such an amazing walkthrough.
- BTfreek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Both of you go into your brushes palette and make sure your have "Brush Dynamics" turned on.
- jasonmanheim, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15There IS only three you stinkin' douche.
- Victorface, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13It's been photoshopped.
- saleem, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14excellent results! very complete and thorough, simple tutorial
- eliburford, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8It doesn't look like spam when you put a heap of excellent content around them. Remember, most magazines have an ad to content ratio of 1:4, and that's a lot of ads.
- MavRevMatt, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Adblock is thy friend.
- evilpig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6But what if I use my thumb to click the digg buttons only.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5stfu noob
- trioxylon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5But the thumb would be pointing downwards as you press, or at least not upwards.
- estacado, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4What a dumb thread.
- Michypoo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Out of all the fail Photoshop threads on Digg, this has got to be the best I've seen in a very long time. For once on Digg, I'm not scrolling through dozens of various text blending effect tutorials that try to convince you that the most complicated-looking effects will make you look professional (unless you're in 1995 with your Geocities webpage). This thread, however, just proves that simplicity can be a designer's best asset.
- MonkeyFCoconut, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Very cool! Thanks for posting. I just created a very nice company logo and slogan for myself using this technique as part of the theme.
- Eskapismus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3In CS3 I had to go to Shape dynamics and set "Control" to Pen Pressure in order to get it working. Thanks a lot BTfreek
- RunnyBabbit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Haha. In denial much?
- wisie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Here I was thinking this would be some wanky glow text that looks straight out of 2001.
Nice tut - Ludnix, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I think the more advanced aspects of the tutorial were the brush stroked lines that were glowing, not the background.
- JoshuaH, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Anyone able to get a hold of the "GeometricSlab712bt LightA" font used in this tutorial? Link would be appreciated.
- thesixthdesign, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2me neither
- MonkeyFCoconut, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Grrr, forgot to grab the direct link:
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/1953/bdubtechnologieslogowp4.jpg - eatbeefjerky, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I can tell by some of the pixels and because I've seen a few shops in my day.
- Melodik, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3There are four or five tutorials that are really helpful, which is unfortunately about half the site. I'd love to see some more quality instructions like this one, because quality Photoshop sites are hard to come by.
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+2Yeah, that and more importantly, this tutorial teaches you something that most PS users might not have known (the right click with the pen tool and brush taper thing).
- kendetroit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I really like the site layout as well, very sharp. Off to make some glowy stuff
- MrSunshine, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Reported. Twice.
- bshakil, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2same here...i tried three times... but stroke path is disabled.. guess da problem is only with CS3
- MonkeyFCoconut, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You might not have the path selected. Try using the Path Selection tool (black arrow, shortcut 'A'), left-click the path, then right-click and select Stroke Sub-Path. I'm using CS3 as well.
- unpaidbill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I just played around with this in the GIMP... came out pretty awesome. I skipped over the chrome and made it look like some kind of crazy nebula! Fun stuff.
- wanzedk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Try with RIP and Firefox. I didn't notice any ads at all.
- jepizacar, on 08/21/2008, -0/+1nice resource....

http://jeniya.info - tim507, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3You can put up to 3 link units, and three text blocks.
- Samtherocker, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Exactly… Why not thank the guy (or girl?) for a good tutorial by clicking one.
- altinnovation, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's still useful to know it
- MonkeyFCoconut, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It really needs to be on a black background, so throw it on your black desktop to really check it out.
http://img53.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bdubtechnologieslogowc2.jpg - staffrocket, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This works with the free photoshop version? :P
- SparkyPine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Very nice Monkey, looks like you got it down.
- piwy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Might be difficult. it's a commercial font.
- RunnyBabbit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'm sorry mister elite, but exploring an aspect of the program is how people learn. This is why it's called a 'tutorial.'
- Veritas77, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I don't even have photoshop and that's fascinating.
- EztliNahua, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Using Photoshop CS3, I can't do "Stroke Path". It is greyed out.
"Shape Dynamics" is enabled in the brush options. There is no "Brush Dynamics". Assuming they renamed it. - inactive, on 01/15/2008, -0/+1That's great find
