- LiceHelpDotCom, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6Dear Digg,
You RAWK! I was just looking for tutorials on AI. You read my mind!
Here is another great one I found for taking a picture of a person and making it a photo realistic vector.

Thanks Digg.

- TheKingInYellow, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3dear darren,
that's an awesome walkthrough of the gradient mesh you found and shared.
thanks,
jason - TheKingInYellow, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3i'm glad i never had illustrator (or any other software) tutorials when i started out. i hate to sound like a pompous big headed artist but never being taught something really forces you to learn from your mistakes and you grow stronger with the software you're using. yes, you may take a class or know someone who can introduce you to the software and show you a few neat things but nothing beats sitting down and trying to do something without being shown or asking for help.

- ThisCommentSux, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Bert Monroy did an episode on gradient meshes on PixelPerfect a while back. It's fairly basic, and might not be exactly what you're looking for, but worth a look:
http://revision3.com/pixelperfect/gmesh - owlie99, on 10/09/2008, -1/+2A nice selection of tutorials to get started with Illustrator - wish I'd had this when I started out!
- TheKingInYellow, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1still no gradient mesh tutorials worth a damn. i have spent countless hours messing with the gradient mesh and have never come anywhere near what some people have done and i have never seen a tutorial that really pushed it.
