- nyde, on 11/03/2008, -3/+69Awesome collection I love the 3D icons! Thanks for putting it in just one page, it's like a trend nowadays to put posts in multiple pages.
- writr, on 11/03/2008, -1/+51The detail on the first set is insane. Too bad I don't have any use for them right now.
- IAmRoot, on 11/03/2008, -2/+21KDE's Oxygen icon set is nice, too. http://www.oxygen-icons.org/?cat=3
- BrendanSheehan, on 11/03/2008, -0/+17Blue pencil = pen. :D
- johnlevi76, on 11/03/2008, -5/+19The hand-done ones (pencil blue) are terrific!
- glasnt, on 11/03/2008, -2/+13FamFamFam icons are really good :)
- mitikomon, on 11/03/2008, -3/+13you can find a lot of nice icons at www.deviantart.com.
- Zaggynl, on 11/03/2008, -2/+11http://famfamfam.com/lab/icons/ are nice ones too.
- BrendanSheehan, on 11/03/2008, -0/+9The multi-page thing is so they can charge for advertising by quoting page hits instead of unique visitors.
- frogman54, on 11/03/2008, -1/+9Oooo...shopping carts! Yay! My life is now complete.
- phpchris, on 11/03/2008, -2/+10Not so much a trend as it is to display more ads.
- FulcrumVitesse, on 11/03/2008, -2/+9Those Japanese-themed ones are fantastic.
- Tomcenc, on 11/03/2008, -0/+7You can change a folder's icon in windows Vista too (and if I remember correctly it works the same way in XP):
Right-click->Properties
Customize
Change icon
I don't believe it supports many formats though. - KyleEatsCrayons, on 11/03/2008, -0/+7Didnt see anyone mention the Buuf or Gant, etc. series of icons by Mattahan... they're my favorites by far...
check them out here... http://mattahan.deviantart.com/gallery/#Icons - tempusrob, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6I like dA, but I wish I could search by usage license, and that people would use standard licenses (CC, GPL, etc...). So many people have arbitrary terms ... "Send me a note before using and you must give credit and a link back." For an icon, FFS? It makes searching for stock material tiring.
- numeka, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6I love freebies.
- GoldenChaos, on 11/03/2008, -0/+5HybridWorks is amazing - it's the company of the guy who made Yoritsuki. I discovered it about a year ago, and I've been using his stuff ever since. He's a brilliant graphic designer; Yoristuki used to rule my desktop and dock, though now I just use the wallpaper.

Currently using these. They are really awesome. Uh like 1 or 2 icons out of the set of 100+ is NSFW :D - inactive, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3Yeah, I agree. I like them so much that its depressing can't come up with a use for them :(.
- kim^lwx, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3Well, look again. "Silk" by FamFamFam is on the list.
- MrContent, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3Are they Web 2.0 ready?
- justdont, on 11/03/2008, -1/+4Do you mean download all the icon sets with one click? If so, firefox has this addon called downthemall..

- LongJohnSilvers, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3LOL. Watch that blood pressure.
- cbranger4, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3How do you set these icons as your icons?
- gfox, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3Thanks, working on a couple websites right now and the file icon set will come in handy
- twoyups, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2Making money is somewhat trendy
- kevinlaw, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2Will someone please explain how I use the new icons once I download them... I don't know how to use them with vista :(
- antdude, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2Show us some better ones.
- aenima987, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2Can anyone tell me how to actually use/create icon files on XP? I've had this problem before.
Thanks a lot if you take the trouble to reply :D - MacHarborGuy, on 11/04/2008, -0/+2most OS's are using higher resolution icons now. I am not sure what Vista's max icon rez is, but on the Mac I believe it is 512x512 pixels. The larger our monitors get the smaller the icons will be, so increasing their sizes yet keeping crisp details is a must.
I just want to have resolution independent User Interfaces. Those "close window" buttons are getting smaller and smaller. - KarlH, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2Dugg for nazi Wifun balloon.
- Impressa, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2now this post has sent me on wild search for beautiful icons that make my desktop look more awesome than it already is... i hate u digg
- rmmcclay, on 11/03/2008, -1/+3Some of these will work quite nicely with my RocketDock.

- ekard14, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2What's up with this blog and making GIANT lists of things?? They're often useful, but it's always soo much info that I never really get anything out of it.
- lornali, on 11/04/2008, -0/+1Beautiful collection, but not sure whether I will use any in the near future.
