- war59312, on 05/23/2008, -0/+2Right, why should we read a site that does not have the balls to review itself?
At the very least they should have made themselves be in the top 5. Sad! ;) - godmode, on 05/23/2008, -2/+3try csszengarden.com
- coltraning, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1I just found this recently as well. Another wonderful resource. Thanks for posting!

- skewl, on 05/22/2008, -2/+6Great article. Well Researched!
You got another subscriber.- UberNick, on 05/23/2008, -0/+6It's all on one page and not 30!!! Mr. Competent Designers, you have another subscriber!
- jerang, on 05/22/2008, -1/+21NetTuts and PSDTuts have been of great help to me!! You also left out http://digg.com/technology
- jggube, on 05/22/2008, -1/+7Digg is definitely an awesome place to catch development/design news. I personally follow the the following sections:
Programming/Upcoming/Most Popular
http://digg.com/news/programming/upcoming/most
Design/Upcoming/Most Popular
http://digg.com/news/design/upcoming/most
Software and Industry News are awesome sections too. Why upcoming? Two reasons: first, I want to read them before it hits the front page and second, many good stories that are worth a read and that I'm interested in might not become popular. - sockpuppets, on 05/22/2008, -3/+2I visited deeznuts by mistake.
- MtheoryX, on 05/22/2008, -2/+1wut?
- Karmavs, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1NetTuts has been extremely basic so far. I'm hoping they go a bit further…
- jggube, on 05/22/2008, -1/+7Digg is definitely an awesome place to catch development/design news. I personally follow the the following sections:

- JonnyCasino, on 05/22/2008, -1/+4My favorite out of the bunch is the IBM developer works, it's an awesome resource for learning about anything related to web development. I also like the O'Reilly network.
- JustCreative, on 05/22/2008, -12/+999 Sites ALL Designers Must Know About

- banana234, on 05/22/2008, -1/+5This is a great post. I'm always looking for more sites to visit, and some of these I had never heard of!
- trance, on 05/22/2008, -1/+9Nice! Just what I needed right now too.
Really liking http://www.wakeuplater.com/ - JonnyLegal, on 05/22/2008, -1/+49http://www.alistapart.com
- mikefitz2, on 05/22/2008, -14/+1just put the damn site into word and export as an html file, do you really need ***** web 2.0 for everything.
- egonSchiele, on 05/22/2008, -8/+1a list apart?
- floppyparty, on 05/22/2008, -8/+930 websites (really just blogs) with articles that are simply more top 10,20, 30 lists.
Thanks. - alwaysbored786, on 05/22/2008, -5/+0wow does any 1 think that nettuts is a rip of psdtuts.com?
- grammarpolice, on 05/22/2008, -0/+5The same person created it. It also looks like http://freelanceswitch.com/
- jggube, on 05/22/2008, -0/+4NETTUTS is a sister site of PSDTUTS, run both by Collis Ta'eed, who also created FreelanceSwitch (either he also runs it, or designed the website, or writes for them). So yeah, definitely they'll have similarities in design.
- OutThisLife, on 05/22/2008, -6/+1If you need help with HTML, CSS, JS or design then you're doing it wrong.
- Vodd9, on 05/22/2008, -0/+7Yeah, because every web designers/developpers are born knowing these.
- stretch611, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1As a web developer, I know I need help with my design. I know for a fact that many web designers need help with their code.
Plus, as Vodd9 alluded too, we all need to learn. How am I going to know HTML 5 or CSS3 without reading about it somewhere?
The best coders and designers do not let Frontpage, Dreamweaver, or Creative Studio generate code automatically, but instead use their knowledge to micromanage the HTML and other web technologies to bring out the best results in a website.
- ElBeh, on 05/22/2008, -2/+8I'm not into site design, but I'm Digging this because I'm tired of looking at ugly sites.
- sputza, on 05/22/2008, -4/+13http://www.sitepoint.com should make the list
- Kingoftherings, on 05/22/2008, -1/+4Awesome article, just what I need. :)
- lunabee, on 05/22/2008, -3/+3Great Aricle!
- hansonc, on 05/22/2008, -5/+11Shouldn't this be "30 web development sites you'll never bother going to again after finding A List Apart"?
- parax, on 05/23/2008, -0/+2A List Apart was the first thing that came to my mind. I've been following it for almost a decade and it usually has a lot more usable information than half of the sites in that list. The entire push towards web standardization owes a lot to ALA and Zeldman.
I find it hard to believe anyone who knows anything about web development either forget about ALA, or not be aware of it, which leads me to believe the author spends a lot more time thinking about creating lists than thinking about design/development. - djlosch, on 05/23/2008, -0/+2most of these have nothing to do with development or web applications. creating layouts for wordpress/drupal has nothing to do with development.
- HigherLogic, on 05/23/2008, -1/+1ALA has been pretty slow in putting articles out lately though. I've got about 60 development/design feeds that I subscribe to and I can't remember the last time ALA put an article out.
- Karmavs, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Two days ago?
- HigherLogic, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Must have not been very good then...

- alperea, on 05/23/2008, -1/+130 Websites to follow if you’re into Web Development/Design? How about 30 Websites to follow so that you too can make roundy corners and pastel colors on your site.
- CircleFusion, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Ok, this was a dumb comment. Did you even visit any of the sites mentioned? I don't see any "roundycornerpastelcolor" articles on thinkvitamin.com, snook.ca or wakeuplater.com.
- wassim2k, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1What's with all the spoons?
- jrtcs, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Aren't the best sites made by MySpace members?
/sarcasm - theadvinci, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0Nettuts.com is part of a "spoonfed" network. That's with the spoons.
- mujahideenryder, on 05/23/2008, -1/+3www.google.com
- wikwam, on 05/23/2008, -0/+2yay for being on a single page
- ofathens, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1If I'm going to be following all these websites, when will I have any time to do work on any design/development of my own?
- arcane82, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0Forgot 2:
http://www.gotoandlearn.com and http://www.kirupa.com - thomasmallen, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0PHPDeveloper but not php-planet.net? No Slashfot? And Reddit - programming has some of the most well-informed and proficient programming enthusiasts amongst its users. I think I learn more from Slashdot and Reddit comments than I have anywhere else, especially with the great link contributions that users post.
- lsumed, on 05/23/2008, -1/+1You can always go to barackobama.com for an example.
- web3box, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0Great Article.
I will come next week with my site web3box.com and inside will be more definitions about the web 2/3 technology. More features and skins will be on my site and define that `web type` ! - Thomaschaaf, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1http://devorbit.net isn't too bad either :P Just sometimes gets off topic
- Wakuko, on 05/23/2008, -1/+1WHAAAAAAAA!???
NO DESIGNMELTDOWN.COM???? - Comus, on 05/23/2008, -0/+2Information overload.... is so addicting.
- wrillo, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0all 30 on one page? i can unbelieveable
- bonerhater, on 05/23/2008, -0/+01 site all news artcles should follow:
