http://designmeltdown.com/chapters/OnePageSites/
And a few of them are the same... - HighOnTCP, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16I disagree with most of them. Rendering content within the same area using flash can make an excellent site, but when you have to scroll down 25 screens to see everything it isn't even remotely "Brilliant" it is "lazy". generally speaking, once you go below the fold, you better have something damn amazing there or you will lose the viewer. Just my opinion.
- Leviathan777, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Flash sucks.
- onreact, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Well, excellent list. Less is more.

- floridiot2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Your thanks
- spartansblade, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7CSS Zengarden is a long time favorite of mine.
- booyabazooka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Tossing stuff into Flash and dumping it into an embed tag does NOT equal stunning web design.
- keepclear, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8spam sigh...
- datisit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7You gotta check out the source to that one.
- keepclear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6anyone think that duggmirror needs a mirror ? seems a bit erratic to me...
- datisit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I don't think anyone has the answer to that one :)
- Espenhh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Really great sites! Simplicity is king, KISS! =)
- cobbs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Stunning? I always see this word in the titles. Are people really that easily impressed er.. stunned? I'm Stunned!
- ryanmct, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"Who said websites need more than one page ?"
The definition of websites.
Websites
a Webpage is different from a website. - OSXLeopard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Now its our job as diggers to lag them all...
- dolemite5005, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nothing impressive about most of those sites. Hell, most of them are simply using images or Flash for content. Yeah, great for accessibility.
- shiftt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2One more one page site: http://www.crashie.com
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3(Sorry to abuse the comment system, should've been " http://wecreatethings.com/ ")
- Wonkanobi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2One-page wonders!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah those quote marks are really annoying - sort them out.
- VideoExperiment, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is a great list of sites, very inspirational. I've compiled a list of the best designs for publicly traded companies in the tech sector. You can see what millions in budget gets big companies:
http://digg.com/design/The_45_Best_Technology_Sector_Corporate_Web_Designs_A_G - daoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I really like that article. Lots of cool looking sites. I linked at:
http://www.thesecrets.biz/story.php?title=30-Amazing-One-Page-Websites - Supernova36, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Its missing http://www.something.com which is an excellent minimalist website.
- artisresistance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If the layout of a one-pager is good enough to be desktop wallpaper, then it's probably good visual design.
- AceTracer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I know Cuban Council's website well; their site, and a lot of their work is some of the most unintuitive, poorly designed, and horribly inaccessible websites I've ever seen.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Holy *****, these are so STUNNING i ***** myself. Simply STUNNING.
- knectar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1another nice one-pager - feedmashr.com
- 97percent, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2There are some really great works in there. It's definitely a great question to ask if you only have company info and 'about us' why would you need to fill your site with crappy content no one wants to read? Make a great impression with one page rather than a mediocre impression with many.
Also, why isn't Zombo.com on there? :) - neutrascrub, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2is this like the internet version of Bob Hope?
- mulletman1234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apparently Cuban related projects are quite artistic.
- onehalf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1/golfclap
- surfing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2math0ne,
You've got broken links. The end quotes are going the wrong way. Your pictures are out of focus, but maybe that's a good thing. - benlindelof, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oof... CSSZenGarden and Cuban Council? I sense a lot of bias in the selections. Check out the links in this DIGG Thread for great work from INDIVIDUAL developers and artists vs. teams of artists and developers.
Most of these sites are created by huge 100+ advertising agencies. Take a look at what one person can do at: http://bluefugu.biz.tm
One person can create what a corporation can create; except for Support Operations. Once development is complete, the users have control and manage all updates. On sites like these where it's only one page, they are all required to go through the advertising agency for changes.
Good luck to ya! - keepclear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1because zombo is *****!
- nify, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Wow! Rubbish. I'd better go and drink some vodka
- thailand1972, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 A lot of the examples use embedded flash websites (that have multiple pages) to prevent screen refresh - hence "one page websites". Meh.
- ggmailer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Am I the only one who doesn't see any difference between Tutorialblog and Smashing Magazine?
- greywolfexcel, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Well, not ALL of these sites are stunning (in fact, plenty are just mediocre), but some of them have creative designs and layout. Dugg for the CSS site.
- deardahl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0While I think most of the sites are nice looking. Most people don't seem to understand the meaning of a real single page website and having things above the fold. It's not that hard to make a site that scrolls forever, but that's not really a single page site.
- zippy757, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1...yes....same guy .....
- piperboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1one page portfolios are good for when you have no time to update. it's simple.
- Swampthing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I almost busted a gut laughing at the house price of $163,000! In the Washington, DC area you couldn't buy an outhouse for that amount... hell, not even a dogshed. The average single family home price right now in my area is above $500,000 and used homes don't go for much less.
- kwimia, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Splendid! Hard to beleive.
- socialmedia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't think I will say that all 30 are great, but half of them are pretty good
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How in the hell does every "story" submitted from this site get dugg up so fast?
- FirefighterBlu3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1plug, http://whitehousing.info/ :)
the american presidency, it's like that stank nappy dog you can't get rid of but it eats dead rats so it's useful sometimes. - r2pro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm sorry but one person can create much more informative, functional, and attractive sites than that without a support staff. I would not be surprised if most of the pages from the article were done by one person.
- LaueOfficer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1www.google.com much?
- artisresistance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's too long...I'm lazy.
