Web designer, or zombie? - Somefoo, on 05/31/2009, -0/+4Most of these are pretty bad. Wooopty doo, now we can finally have websites that look like magazines from the 90s. Unreadable print like white on yellow, yes please. Informational content given only 7% of the screen space, the rest taken up by design fluff, hell yes. Ignoring the most elemental aspects of web design, like distinguishing clickable things from non clickable things so your users have to mouse around guessing? Of course! It's a magazine, what does "click" mean?

- Radan, on 05/31/2009, -1/+4Obvious spammer. Just report and block.
- defectDS, on 05/31/2009, -0/+3I totally predicted this last year. Design cliché of 2009 = Out of focus light bubbles.

http://www.lisamoseley.com/ - bdbr, on 05/31/2009, -0/+2These are very attractive and all, but why is a website "better" just because it has a lot of empty screen space and huge graphics? Would Digg be better if there were only three articles on the front page?
- inactive, on 05/31/2009, -0/+2someone actually made an app to decide who makes a cup of tea?
tea must rot your brain. - 1to1, on 05/31/2009, -2/+3Interesting interaction on that Tea Round App site when you hover steps the iPhone content slides left right. How the heck do you do something like that?
- Casty, on 05/31/2009, -1/+2While I enjoy the "light text on dark background" look, unfortunately it loses a lot of readability vs. "dark text on light background". If your visitors have to put more effort in order to read what's on your website, you're already turning people away.
- slyzxx, on 05/31/2009, -1/+2I honestly thought maybe out of those 30 only around 5 were inspiring for me.
- dazparkour, on 05/31/2009, -1/+2I see at least 2 from the same designers.
- weister42, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1A lot of porn sites are dark so it's easier on your eyes and your monitor won't shine out of your window at night.
- rmacnguyen, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1It's done by utilizing javascript to change the class of the list item when hovering over it. The sliding animation is done using javascript.

CSS: http://tearoundapp.com/style.css - dazparkour, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1There are a few ways -
Small box with an image for all the "slides" in order. As people use the buttons, move the picture left/right. - morgenmuffel, on 05/31/2009, -1/+1Is it MSIE 5 or 6 that totally bungles things like transparent PNGs and a lot of CSS? I think these sites rely on that and they might look bad to people that aren't designers that use the latest Firefox, for example. (Unless they auto-detect crud browsers.) Otherwise, these all do look great!
- imagesplace, on 07/04/2009, -0/+0couldn't agree with you more. dark designs are easy on the eyes....
