- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -6/+12Good article, lots of good resources in fact i was unaware of many mentioned there.
- stutimandal, on 05/29/2009, -1/+6This comment is also useless and +6 diggs reveal that smashingapps is spamming Digg.
- stutimandal, on 05/29/2009, -0/+5Digg is doomed with all these lists.
- Braxo, on 05/29/2009, -1/+6I stopped at Pixlr. Why would you use an online image editor at this point?
- Aroundtheworls, on 05/29/2009, -1/+4Who is digging this garbage?

- stutimandal, on 05/29/2009, -0/+3Seriously, which designer needs ONE online tool for resizing an image, ANOTHER for making a background image, YET ANOTHER for reflecting pictures, EVEN YET ANOTHER for rounding the corners, and YET ONE MORE for managing photos.
And while I am at it, photoshop.com holds the rights to all photos uploaded and edited in its database, so if your site is really cool and popular, next day your web-host will pull it down since Adobe holds the copyright to the image you created. - mtnboy, on 05/28/2009, -6/+9These are some nice tools. Thanks for sharing.
- Stewballs2111, on 05/29/2009, -0/+2That's what she said.
- topgigmedia, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1If you need to do something quick and dirty and do not want to fire up PS - sites like this and Picnic are convenient.
- dreamache, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1It's been old for a long time, for some reason, people eat it up... mainly newbs.
- hawksfan03, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1what a great article! I've never used any of these before!!!! Thanks smashing apps. I installed them all!!!!
/s - gemlarin, on 05/29/2009, -1/+2Web Developer Toolbar + DOM Inspector + Firebug is about all I need, thanks.
- haskinsj87, on 05/29/2009, -1/+2While these apps are "interesting" and serve their purpose well, I don't think any serious web designer would actually benefit from that purpose. For example, any of the listed image editing/creation apps (stripemania, freshgenerator, etc) could be done easier with [insert professional design app of choice] without having to go to their service. This makes these type of apps useless for professional web designers. However, there are some useful apps here. I would recommending splitting this article in to two: 7 apps for web designers, and 14 apps to play with during your lunch break.
- drpcken, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1Is there a firebug equivalent for Internet Explorer? I've got a strange CSS issue that doesn't happen in FireFox, only in IE8 (surprise!).
- Stewballs2111, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1I don't know of one unfortunately.
- inajeep, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1Because everyone doesn't have PS or know about Gimp or has the time or patience to learn either one. There are tons of programs to download, hope they don't have a virus, try out and uninstall. Using an online app negates most of that. I use Gimp and have used PS plus SnagIt so I don't need to use an online tool with one exception. I use picnik on flickr to touch up my phone's pics because it easier than downloading them, editing them and reuploading.
- sktnightmare, on 05/29/2009, -0/+0muy bueno el articulo
