- FENWAYFREAK, on 09/29/2008, -5/+150The default theme is better than all of those.
- zenithmbr, on 09/29/2008, -0/+91who the ***** wants a firefox theme that mimics internet explorer???
- psykiv, on 09/29/2008, -1/+85Very simple. People who are tired of their relatives calling them because they have spyware on their computer.
Step 1: Install Firefox
Step 2: Install IE theme for Firefox
Step 3: Change Firefox desktop icon shortcut to the internet explorer icon
Step 4: Rename Mozilla firefox on the desktop to internet explorer
Step 5: Watch as they don't call you nearly as often
Bonus: Chances are they'll probably never even realize what you did. - cdawzrd, on 09/29/2008, -0/+59Are there paid Firefox themes?

11 Free Firefox 3 Themes You'll Probably Never Use - Coultrain, on 12/25/2008, -2/+39"A full featured retro theme for Firefox based on Netscape Communicator 4.8"
Damn, that made me feel old. I mean, it's been a few years but RETRO?!?!?!?! - zenithmbr, on 09/29/2008, -0/+30touche
- MrViklund, on 09/29/2008, -2/+31Wrong. A few are nice but some are just ***** like that black one.
- ileftfark, on 09/29/2008, -0/+20Sadly, yes: http://www.virtusdesigns.com/
- jacobo, on 09/29/2008, -0/+17i like Chromifox.
- Plasmatica, on 09/29/2008, -0/+16I use the Nasa Night Launch theme. Nice, clean and dark.
- ElBeh, on 09/29/2008, -1/+17Personas for Firefox isn't a theme, but it's a lightweight way of making Firefox look better: http://labs.mozilla.com/2007/12/personas-for-firef ...
I highly recommend it. - SugarCoatedSalt, on 09/30/2008, -0/+15god damn, and they're ugly.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+14i will have a try with Chromifox as i can taste chrome too :)
- shadyconcepts, on 09/29/2008, -0/+14there's a reason why no one's ever used them before...
- zakazmi, on 09/29/2008, -9/+22I am quite happy with default, don't need any overhead slowing down my things.
- mithrasinvictus, on 09/30/2008, -0/+12I just say: "If you keep using IE, i will not fix your computer next time." Works every time.
- ACiDGRiM, on 09/30/2008, -2/+14Why do you have to bring race into this?
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -4/+15I love firefox
- Kral, on 09/30/2008, -0/+10Due to FireFox's design, you're not necessarily incurring any overhead with a theme, as the stock UI is done as a theme itself.
- ileftfark, on 09/29/2008, -4/+14The iMac *is* a PC.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+9Yeah, I know what you mean. That's how it is on the Internet. Try working with computers or worse, assembling them. Things change so quickly, it's incredible.
- topato, on 09/30/2008, -0/+9Did anyone else read the opening paragraph and think "lol wut"?
- eliburford, on 09/29/2008, -2/+10No I've probably never use these before, actually.
I'm happy with the very user-friendly default theme, thanks. - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -4/+12um, aren't all themes free for firefox?
- DrumDog2112, on 09/30/2008, -2/+10Apparently, the OP:
has never bought a USED Car,
has never been USED and abused,
has probably USED drugs,
isn't a fan of The USED, or
has never USED a grammar book. - consoneo, on 09/30/2008, -0/+7Get the Nasa Night Launch theme, it's black and very nice :)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/490 ... - alexkball, on 09/30/2008, -1/+8You've also missed the point.
- maveric101, on 09/29/2008, -0/+7i hate the sickly blue color that is default in Vista. so i'm currently using Firefox 3 default for Vista, which is basically just gray. i also like dark themes.
- davidlatache, on 09/29/2008, -1/+7I think that the default theme is the better!
- brokn1, on 09/30/2008, -1/+7He right! I never use before!
- chadwalters23, on 09/29/2008, -3/+9who switches their firefox themes often enough to care, anyway? people find one they like and stick with it. buried as pointless.
- ilovedolljoints, on 09/30/2008, -0/+5"i have hated firefox since it became the norm"
What? - TheBuzzKiller, on 09/30/2008, -0/+5- insert comment about the poor wording in the title.
- ileftfark, on 09/29/2008, -1/+6Not on Linux.
- mesarah, on 09/29/2008, -5/+10This is your personal opinion. Firefox themes are so much demanded by the firefox users.
- apothekari, on 09/30/2008, -0/+5Hands down All time favorite dark theme is the "steampunky" Old Factory for Firefox 3 you can even use his Old Factory XP Theme and have a complete makeover.
Also the "Glowing Buttons" and "Rusty" add ons he did for it make it look kinda like something out of Bioshock it's AWESOME.
go here.
http://www.theme-oasis.org/oldfactory_preview.php - euro22, on 12/17/2008, -1/+5Yes. And?
- mesarah, on 09/29/2008, -2/+6Few of them are very nice and beautiful
- CalcProgrammer1, on 09/30/2008, -0/+4The default theme in Ubuntu is awful, so I made one called Strata Human, basically took the XP theme and changed the green icons to orange to match the default Human theme. It's on Mozilla's add-ons page if you want it, I looked forever to find something like that before giving up and making it myself (took like an hour and I was brand new to theming).
I like the "default" (as in default in Windows) theme a lot, the Tango one in Ubuntu is a horrible ugly monstrosity that looks very outdated. - ahpro, on 09/29/2008, -0/+4Most of them reek of the 90s.
- lazydrumhead, on 09/30/2008, -0/+4OH MY GRAMMAR.... JEEZ DIGG GO TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
- GenReefer, on 09/30/2008, -0/+4These ones are my favorite.
http://userstyles.org/styles/8688 - MindsCave, on 09/30/2008, -0/+4AnyColor is better than those pedestrian themes
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/699 ... - geoboy, on 09/30/2008, -0/+4Which is unfortunate, because the '90s didn't smell all that great.
- nevona, on 09/30/2008, -0/+4These are all really ugly...
- antdude, on 09/30/2008, -1/+5Mirror: http://www.smashingapps.com.nyud.net/2008/09/28/11 ...
- skyroket, on 09/30/2008, -0/+2I did this about a year ago: installed Firefox for my girlfriend, but she said she wouldn't use it because she was in a habit of using the blue E icon. I changed the Firefox icon to that icon and she started using it, but said it was awkward to learn (she doesn't have time to learn, she just wants to use) so I put in the IE theme.
The Downloads window is the only other "odd" thing about Firefox, so you just set that to disappear when downloads are done, and you're good to go with IEFox!! -
