- digg it
- diggstown, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26Great deal, but Computer Shopper just isn't what it used to be 15 years ago. You used to be able to heat your home for the entire winter with the bulk of that magazine.
- SoulMaster2, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3I still have some of those somewhere. Might look through them later for a laugh. Good times.
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3For those wondering, my freecs order was processed, so it's still working.
- davidv, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Mine just went through, keep trying if you get timeouts, it might not be an active deal for long :P
Oh and many thanks to the submitter dig - stark23x, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3The biggest problem is that Computer Shopper suckles at the teat of Ibuypower, literally the worst most crooked computer maker on earth. You can't trust anything they write.
- cypher35, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3You couldn't pay ME to subscribe to this drivel...
Why is this on the front page? You all have an internet connection, so why do you need a magazine when you have a resource as vast as the www? - modian, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Same deal from a source I've gotten free mags from before: http://tinyurl.com/kx8f7
They make you jump through some hoops, but yeah, it's really free.
- doorman444, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2thanks

- vamp1regr4ve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i agree non US deals would be awsome . Non US deals FTW :P
- moistspot, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18gd US gets all the good deals, Canada gets shafted again.

- XxUNDEROATHxX, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3the sites acting a little...sluggish right now....
- isemism, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Ha ha, the DIGG effect:
"Technical Error
We are very sorry, but a technical error just occured which prevents the system from showing you what you are expecting. That said, we will be looking into this problem for you as soon as possible. Please check back shortly."
I dont think its gonna go through for me, but I digg it just the same for the try.- isemism, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0"Your Order Has Been Approved" - its like digital butter. A book full of things I cant or shouldnt afford is comming to a bathroom near you. g33k pr0n at its absolute best.
- isewise, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3This is totally going to get dugg!
- yourmom2161, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1anyone know the deal for free blender? its one of those free ones.
- Crossmenjeff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"freeoffer" works like i said earlier on a few magazines. it was listed as active for blender
- Cryptecks, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Yeah we killed it, but I still got my Computer Shopper sub in, just not my Stuff or Rolling Stone...oh well, I'll try again in the morning.
- mocha24, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Stuff code not working for me
- mdmetzle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3i got it to work by submitting it twice with just stuff in my cart
- __J__, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4you can only have one mag in your cart at a time to use codes...
- Zekaer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Thanks for the tip. I was having the same problem.
- shrewd, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2is it US only?
- HP844182, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1VERY slow but I finally made it through.
You got a digg from me! :thumbs up:- maicowchoy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Same here, I'm going to try again in the morning. :)
- metalrock76, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1No!! Soon as I click "Confirm And Pay For Order" I get "Technical Error"
- Myst3r1o, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Please tell me, someone, anyone, is this a little too good to be true or are they really selling three top magazines for 2 years for this low of a price?
http://magsforless.com/pd_mens_magazine_package_two.cfm- thespacepope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The publishers would gladly give them away to increase circulation (and thus, ad revenue)... the problem is, that ads in subscription mags go for a lot more than ads in free mags. So they come up with all kinds of excuses to sell subscriptions at a discount.
- Infekted, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1would this work in canada?
- dygitaljoe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Nice digg :) Free zines are the best
- havaloc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The privacy policy seems ok:

So the publisher sells your address instead of magsforless.com? - fatalea1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it would be hard to receive you mag if the publisher didn't have your name and address
- thespacepope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"The only information we do share is your name and address which we will only submit to the publisher."
- chickenman316, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I remember back when Computer Shopper magazine was the size of a metro phonebook. I never understood though why someone would actually pay for a subscription to it. I dont think they are going to do a year's worth of research before buying a computer.
- ggko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Magazine subscriptions are often heavily discounted, as much as 70% off the cover price if not greater. So if you anticipate buying it a couple of times a year, it could justify subscribing. More so if they throw in special issues and bonus swag. And some geeks love just watching prices of components as much as they do putting them together.
Also remember, back in Computer Shopper's heydey there "wasn't any" web (if not the internet) to most people. This was the place to look for parts & peripherals.

- t3hj03, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Wow. I was skeptical, but the order went through. You can only do one at a time tho. Anyone else find any more free codes?
- SilentKenshin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Anyone find anymore codes? Like some of the other people I would love to get free blender and rolling stones. Thanks in advance if you find them.
- Tyler, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I got my Computer Shopper mag, but when I went to get stuff the server said:
The connection has timed out.
The server at magsforless.com is taking too long to respond. - mehron, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I got Maxim for free before, so there is no doubt in my mind.
- BlackHatFerret, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Yeah Im getting a ***** Technical Error though I guess it's the "Digg effect"
It's the equivalent of a DDoS attack now a days lol. - sparkmonkeyz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Holy poop stain was this slow, but definitely worth a digg, and a two thumbs up!
- mrkoje, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2That was the best use of words I have ever seen! "Holy poop stain"
- LNahid2000, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Wow, this is slow. Hopefully it works in Canada.
- Crossmenjeff, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1how are you avoiding putting more than your email address and physical address?
- Crossmenjeff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1well it seemed to work (as long as they don't send a random bill to your address) by clicking "credit card" as the payment method.
- metacoola, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Discount Coupon Is Not Allowed
Sorry. You are not allow to apply this discount coupon. Please remove the other coupons before applying this discount coupon.
or maybe i put it in in the wrong spot..Do you have to confirm your email btw?- Crossmenjeff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1one at a time.
- PhaseDMA, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1$3 for the magazine? If this works it would be worth buying magazines from them. Hell it would be worth buying magazines from them with no proof their a legit company.
- ktrain, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8No Digg ... I have read some bad reviews on these guys so I am doubtful that they are 100% trustworthy. Check out these reviews: http://www.epinions.com/pr-Online_Stores_Services-MagsForLess_com
Just my 2 cents, but hey, if you feel it is worth a shot, go for it.- Snyder, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Crap, the site was slow and somehow I ended up adding two of the same subscriptions to my cart and didn't realize till after the order was submitted. I just emailed them to cancel the order. I hope you're wrong and they don't screw me over.
- FunkyGuy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2this magazine is terrible, I have gotten it for free before, ack, terrible, only use it if you want something to burn for you fire...no joke it wouldnt be that bad for fire paper.
- UNL1M1T3D, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I like Computer Shopper a lot. They are a good magazine, so I will have to check this out. Another really good computer magazine is CPU (Computer Power User). Kind of expensive, but has very little ads, and caters to power users, obviously.
- djblast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2CPU is such a great mag.
can anyone give me a link to subscribe? I used to only find their mag rarely in CVS or something like that and the issues only came out like 4 times a year. - nurvus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0google works wonders when looking for things like that
- vertigoblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1CPU is 50 bucks on that website... and subscribing with the card in the mag is $29 FYI and the first 3 issues are free to try without having to pay.
- djblast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2CPU is such a great mag.
- nurvus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1hate to be biased here, but computer shopper is a *horrible* mag. they're far too picky with products they review and even still, the products they review aren't even that interesting. i know the hitch is for a free year, but you'll end up paying for something to secure that free year. MaximumPC is only $12 a year, PC Magazine is far more thorough, and CPU is great for bleeding edge tech (albeit kind of pricey). choose one or all of those but (imho) avoid Computer Shopper like the plague.
- diskserious, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, just got both of them to go through (Stuff & CS) with no problem. Confirmation email and they never asked for a credit card...just an address. Very sweet...if it goes through. If not I'll just have more spam in my junk mail and possibly more junk snail mail to start small fires with.
- Zekaer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I used a fake email address..... :l
- NITROSLICK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Is there a code for FHM magazine???
- cptn_cardboard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1haha, well, congratulations for giving out your home address to a shady website :P
seems too good to be true...- skunkman62, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4OMG! you're right. but who doesnt have my home address?
- Harmless, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Hey, cardboard, looks like we just missed your birthday... February 7th, 1969
Happy 37th Birthday!!!
Cardboard, im going out on a limb here, but do you live in or around... Puyallup, WA?
- isemism, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1now if only i could get this to work on Newegg...
- diskserious, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0eh, it's not like they can't pick me out of the Yellow Pages. Also, what is the worst that can happen? They don't have my credit card info so they can't automatically charge my account for a renewal. I guess they could send some goons to my apartment to take out a knee or two, but then again, I'll be moving soon enough.
- fkuall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1i get to a page where it asks me to the conferm & pay step, but the only thing i have to click on is a "Modify order" button
any help? - microsoftpwner, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1sooooo slowwwwww. After I hit add to cart, firefox had a "problem loading page" problem. Thats too bad.
- Farmer77, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1It's 12:12 am on April 24 and it still works. Very slow though. Didn't have to enter any credit card information. Digg.
- ReqX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2To those asking if sites like these selling magazines at low costs are too good to be true: they aren't. It's a common tactic used by magazine publishers to increase their circulation numbers so that they can charge more for ads. I've personally ordered several subscriptions from sites such as this.
Don't take that as an endorsement for this site, though. Never used them. :) - templest, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Gets stuck at "Payment/Shipment Options"... nothing to click on but "Modify Order",
this mean the offer is no longer valid? :( - delhokie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Even if you get that 'Technical Error', your order may have gone through-- I got that message, but when you click on 'my account' and 'view my orders', the order says it was completed. We'll see what happens.
- vSanity, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1got an e-mail saying it was approved. Did not need to enter a CC (sweet!). However, I did get a technical error when trying to do the stuff checkout.
