The intended use of the phrase is usually reserved for a fine looking specimen of human who's good physical appearance has been ravaged by time. This snow white is faring quite well given the circumstances.

I think the shoot's premise is good, but was executed poorly. They almost look like they were taken by a "noted fashion photographer".
