- bdfariello, on 03/04/2009, -9/+352At the end of the comic, that's what the actual inside of an Etch-a-Sketch looks like:

- Tickitata, on 03/04/2009, -2/+260and this, my friends, is why xkcd is so popular on digg.
- guinpen, on 03/04/2009, -11/+223this is one lonely guy, half of his comics are about being lonely or broken up with
- PxCxG, on 03/04/2009, -12/+149If you draw enough lines you can see inside?
- inactive, on 03/04/2009, -34/+149Xtremely Korny Comics for Diggers.

- kilogrammatic, on 03/04/2009, -1/+96Yes.
- Zegarek, on 03/04/2009, -6/+69You get this bent out of shape over a comic on the internet? Wow I hope I am never around you when you get pissed about something that actually matters.
- handheldchimp, on 03/04/2009, -26/+88Im sorry, but I thought that was quite clever.
- Owned1Up, on 03/04/2009, -2/+63someones spending way too much ***** time at walmart...and it's register 14
- PxCxG, on 03/04/2009, -4/+48I'm having trouble understanding your message...what are your feelings about XKCD?
- idavidtang, on 03/04/2009, -9/+50Scary..that girl reminded me of the girl from the Ring.
- inactive, on 03/04/2009, -14/+53Can I say XKCD kinda sucks and not get dugg down? Also, this guy has serious issues with loneliness. At least he's had past relationships...
- SPARTACVS, on 03/04/2009, -14/+52You're all heartless...
- nevetssav, on 03/04/2009, -1/+38Yeah, all this stuff about breakups. I wish XKCD had some explanation of this...say, a subtitle along the lines of, "A webcomic of Romance, Sarcasm, [math,] and Language."
- Eronamanthius, on 03/04/2009, -0/+35For everything else in life, there's Visa.

^ The article he ripped that picture from. In case you wanted a brief explanation on how it works. - inactive, on 03/04/2009, -4/+37Do you want a hug?
- bruuks, on 03/04/2009, -2/+33My brother did that once when we were kids, just so we could both find out how the thing worked.
We're both engineers now.
This year for Christmas our mom bought us both Etch-a-Sketch's. Ahh, the memories. - socoolisme, on 03/04/2009, -0/+30I remember doing that as a kid.
- jmdwinter, on 03/04/2009, -12/+41poignant: affecting or moving the emotions
whimsical: an odd or fanciful notion
for precedent see Calvin & Hobbes - Amadeus2490, on 03/04/2009, -4/+31I'm gonna try that next time i'm in line at Wal*mart. They have the mini ones at register 15, so I don't think it'll take as long as it would with the full-sized one.
- TrevorBelmont, on 03/04/2009, -3/+29My god. She's... beautiful...
- Newedge14, on 03/04/2009, -2/+25Yup I read the comic too, thanks for that.
- whativewanted, on 03/04/2009, -2/+24In his defense, XKCD *did* mess with the lights while he was filming.
- Frezzle, on 03/04/2009, -3/+23Any one else read "unes"?
- kennyROAR, on 03/04/2009, -4/+23Xavier Knows Chocolate Dreams.
- sumeetg, on 03/04/2009, -9/+27I only have awesome thoughts like that when I'm high.
- dlan4327, on 03/04/2009, -5/+23I found it kind of sweet. Then again I'm quite lonely.
- WeylandYutani, on 03/04/2009, -0/+17Try not to sound like a damn primary school teacher, alright?
- SuperStromboli, on 03/04/2009, -0/+17Yeah, that was news to me too.
- iDiggYa, on 03/04/2009, -0/+15He has a lonley which is still.
- KibibyteBrain, on 03/04/2009, -0/+15FUD = Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt. How does that apply at all? Please use terms correctly.
- KyleMistry, on 03/04/2009, -0/+15It is when sarcasm, math, and language are involved.
- handheldchimp, on 03/04/2009, -1/+15Stop killing my childhood.
- Newedge14, on 03/04/2009, -4/+17Xylophones Kick Cerebral Diseases
- inactive, on 03/04/2009, -1/+14No it's not!
- lhugnar, on 03/04/2009, -0/+12Seven da...Hey! What are you doing? No. Stop! Stop shaking...Stop...You will die in.....Noooooooo.....
- TibetRock, on 03/04/2009, -3/+15Yeah, I'd hate to have him storm off and write a paragraph on the internet about how much he doesn't like me.
- Gareth321, on 03/04/2009, -2/+14Ooooohhhhh. I was utterly clueless as to the job until you pointed this out. Thank you. This is definitely on the obscure end of the joke scale =P
- nurbsenvi, on 03/04/2009, -3/+14Except that it was.
- ngregge, on 03/04/2009, -0/+11Ha ha, I do have a small penis, so your threat carries no weight. Buried.
- FruitFocker, on 03/04/2009, -0/+10Your still what? Your?
- SuperStromboli, on 03/04/2009, -0/+10Xenophobics Kill ***** Demons
- DoktorRob, on 03/04/2009, -1/+11No, a joke that needs explanation for most people to understand is an EXCELLENT joke to those who don't need an explanation.
That feeling of "Ah, I get it, but I bet few others will" fills me with joy.
That's pretty much the whole point of things like XKCD and even MST3K, hell those guys often stumped each other for obscurity. - rosekevin, on 03/04/2009, -6/+15he clearly meant that as if the guy in the comic said "well, that sucked," not that XKCD sucks.
if you buried his comment, you owe him a digg. - xiphrex, on 03/04/2009, -0/+9Ah now the comic makes sense
- Drahkar, on 03/04/2009, -3/+12I might point out that he didn't say XKCD sucked. He said 'that' sucked which could be just about anything. However I tend to read it as having imagined someone to end your loneliness behind the screen, only finding a pointer mounted on bars, I would actually have to say that sucks in my opinion as well.
