- jwolcott, on 09/11/2008, -3/+334What the hell are all those? ***** it, I've still got my "GLUE"!
- cool7cap, on 09/11/2008, -7/+330"Those who would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."- Benjamin Franklin
- ReduX33, on 09/11/2008, -15/+172Before we get the Obama idiots in here saying "OMG BUSH DID THIS HE MUST BURN AND OBAMA IS OUR SAVIOR," keep in mind that Biden pioneered the patriot act.
- IgorUnchained, on 09/11/2008, -2/+133Those who would sacrifice freedom in the name of security deserve to be kicked in the balls.
------Arthur Fonzerelli - muckemuck, on 09/11/2008, -8/+137The glue is The Patriot Act, FISA, telecom immunity, etc.. who voted for those? Don't vote for those people in November.
- rvandy, on 09/11/2008, -15/+115The only thing that's secure is the power of the elite class.
- urgeigh, on 09/11/2008, -0/+92My favorite quotation ever.
"You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in their struggle for independence."
- Charles Austin Beard, and it's so ***** true. - Hetman, on 09/11/2008, -8/+75And Obama signed the revised patriot act and FISA. The McBama two sides of the same coin.
- jonathanforpres, on 09/11/2008, -4/+48The Constitution? I'm pretty sure the Patriot Act killed that to protect our freedoms - Bart Simpson
- roxgod666, on 09/11/2008, -17/+58Obama and McCain are definitely not equally bad. They both might be bad, but not equally
- thescimitar, on 09/11/2008, -6/+44To be fair, the founding fathers were terrorists.
Not kidding here, they engaged in asymmetrical, guerrilla warfare committing crimes and vandalism against their government and their fellow (tory) citizens.
However, I'm ***** glad they did. - ApokalypseNow, on 09/11/2008, -4/+41I call dibs on the scissors.
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -25/+62Bingo.
Obama and McCain are equally bad. - sfury, on 09/11/2008, -7/+41look on the bright side - the GLUE's still intact...
- 88chrisb, on 09/11/2008, -13/+47Don't forget our "Libet"
- MacMan88, on 09/12/2008, -3/+36Free Libet!
- jimhfisher, on 09/11/2008, -2/+29As that would be good old Dubya and his friends, you're correct.
- shoff88, on 09/11/2008, -1/+28If we would have taken the "e" from the glue bottle, we could still have freedom....
- xShad0w, on 09/11/2008, -0/+26So did Bob Barr, at the time they were promised a lot more then what was delivered on the Patriot Act, all the polices weren't followed through correctly and that's why they have to change their minds.
- mywhitenoise, on 09/11/2008, -33/+59no way, dude. "Equally bad"? Obama isn't perfect, but he's a hell of a lot better than McCain.
- gmiley, on 09/11/2008, -3/+28That's a load of BS. It's people like you that are selling away rights and liberty for myself and others. You should be ashamed of yourself. If you want to be safe lock yourself away in your home, don't ruin it for everyone else. I for one would rather be free to do and say what I want. We are all going to die some day, that is a fact. Might as well be free until that day instead of having my life dictated to me for the slight chance I may be able to live a little longer.
- asus2000, on 09/11/2008, -13/+38I've got my "Jutie."
- Hetman, on 09/11/2008, -1/+25Unfortunatly Obama did voted for the revised patriot act. Barr did not. The revised patriot act has no time line on it. That means it could be in effect until the day I died. The first patriot act did have a time limit on it. Unfortunatly after already knowing the abuses of the first patriot act Obama still decided to vote for the revised patriot act. I do not like Barr either way. All he did was jump on the Dr Paul Bandwagon.
- stanleyford, on 09/11/2008, -2/+23The intimidation of non-combatants through violence is central to the definition of terrorism. The goals of the American revolutionaries were not to intimidate other Americans or the British peoples, so, no, they were not terrorists.
I know it's terribly fashionable nowadays to try apply the label terrorists to groups that one doesn't traditionally think of as terrorists, but the word has a real meaning and real application, and all you do is dilute that meaning if you seek to use it where common sense and a dictionary interpretation would indicate it's inapplicable. - kingmanic, on 09/11/2008, -5/+26It's the US. It's the slightly right of center and far right. There is no real left in US politics.
- bicyclethief, on 09/11/2008, -1/+22Aaaaaaayyy
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -2/+23You can make confetti from all the little bits and pieces of paper! Yay!
- dty2010, on 09/11/2008, -0/+20... Atleast I have chicken.
- skewer324, on 09/11/2008, -5/+24It's statism that we're seeing and any real patriot from the "right" or the "left" needs to see what a strong threat this represents. We can argue about everything else, but undermining our country's founders is a really really bad idea.
- Neekolazz, on 09/11/2008, -3/+21Try wearing a turban.
- fletchsd, on 09/11/2008, -3/+20What we have sacrificed in the name of fear mongering.
- Akairenn, on 09/11/2008, -1/+18Please be patient and they'll get around to you soon enough. We apologize for the delay, but hope you understand that as a large nation, we have millions of citizens to oppress and are working as hard as we can to destroy your rights.
- Hetman, on 09/11/2008, -2/+19Illegal wire tapping of american citizens, violates the 4th amendment.
- krakkinem, on 09/11/2008, -0/+17My cat saw me type in my eBay and Paypal passwords. I had to sacrifice it in the name of security.
- gmiley, on 09/11/2008, -2/+18Warrantless wire taps, search and seizures. You MUST now have a passport to travel whereas before you could simply use a birth certificate for short leaves. RealID is in the works. Basically everyone can now be labeled a terrorist for just about any reason.
- dungbeetle, on 09/11/2008, -0/+16It isn't YOUR freedoms that have been violated and endangered. Everyone who lives in America has had their liberties challenged by this behavior. It may not directly affect you now but if we keep down this track it will.
- nemoder, on 09/11/2008, -5/+21I believe in libet, jutie, eqaly and fredom for all!
- xcpleprechaun, on 09/12/2008, -2/+17All I want is ice... Just-ice.
- JeddHampton, on 09/11/2008, -0/+15I thought the PATRIOT Act and FISA were the scissors.
- asus2000, on 09/11/2008, -0/+15Actually I feel more insecure now than before. The deficit is insurmountable and 90% of the containers coming into our ports still aren't checked.
- rootsm3, on 09/11/2008, -2/+177 years ago on this day, our rights were taken away from us. This administration has no intentions of ever giving them back.
- asus2000, on 09/11/2008, -5/+19Revolution!
- NGliam, on 09/12/2008, -2/+16...
FREE LIBET. - floronicman, on 09/11/2008, -0/+14Well played Igor, well played!
- SkippyDoorknob, on 09/11/2008, -4/+18The ability to carry a basic water bottle, thermos of coffee, or any other completely mundane liquids onto an airplane.
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -4/+17They both spew the same amount of *****. It's just that Obama puts an air freshener on top of his *****, so it doesn't stink as much.
