- Mankrik, on 01/13/2009, -1/+47I dont think this is meant to be some sort of 'anit-war' message or politicaly/religious commentary.
Seems more like a silly animation, maybe critizing the fact that people will always fight over diffrences. - inactive, on 01/12/2009, -3/+48Certainly seems that way doesn't it. Excellent animation BTW.
- rinote, on 01/13/2009, -3/+36God is a groovy space hippie.
- pyper, on 01/13/2009, -0/+28Still the best "comment" on war Calvin and Hobbes.

- Biks, on 01/13/2009, -1/+26ah'm french! why do you think i have this outrageous accent!!!
- TheHIV, on 01/13/2009, -1/+26So its a video about the Spore tribal stage?
- wjappe, on 01/13/2009, -3/+16Something like, if you go looking for trouble, you will find it.
- oderdigg, on 01/13/2009, -2/+14No, this video has more depth than Spore.
- swrostmore, on 01/13/2009, -0/+11The moral of this story is that Elton John is Jesus.
- Psamtik, on 01/13/2009, -10/+21I was disappointed.
- vectorjohn, on 01/13/2009, -3/+13That was pretty cool. Nice animation. Kind of funny. It looks like a game and makes me want to play it :(
- CrazyEddie041, on 01/13/2009, -1/+11And the moral of this story is... kill everything that's different from you, because doing anything else is boring.
- jamestwisleton, on 01/13/2009, -1/+9Wait so they were different then God made them the same but inferior so they killed God and started fighting again?
Hmm.. - SuperMoses, on 01/13/2009, -5/+13"No one *wants* war"
But how will the military industry make money if it were not for war?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Is_a_Racket - snafflepaffle, on 01/13/2009, -1/+7How is this anti-war again? No really, I want to know.
- jamestwisleton, on 01/13/2009, -3/+9Ugupuh?
What? - vectorjohn, on 01/13/2009, -1/+7It may be complicated and hard to see what the central problem is, but it usually all boils down to some simple difference. Which is what this animation suggested.
- TheThirdWheel, on 01/13/2009, -6/+12Wait, hmmm what exactly is the moral? That we wouldn't fight if there was only one race/religion, or that we would fight even if we were all the same? Not very uplifting either way. I have a feeling that the israeli / palestinian conflict is a little more complicated than red/blue anyways (and yes it is more complicated than religious differences alone).
- TVarmy, on 01/13/2009, -0/+5At 6 minutes, it's much longer.
- chriscim, on 01/13/2009, -0/+5So simple, yet profound.
- danieltobey, on 01/13/2009, -0/+4I think it's because people fight because they want to. People don't want to be equal with others, they want to be better than others.
- vgnezdilov, on 01/13/2009, -0/+4I like this one better

- TheHIV, on 01/13/2009, -1/+4Not that that takes much.
- LiQuiD83, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3Interesting to say the least. I suppose it sums up what we are as human-beings and the sad fact that things will never change. As stated in Fallout... "War Never Changes".
- yacks, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3Care to play a game of Thermonuclear War?
- Dumbledorito, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3I thought it was "Don't live on a planet that resembles the Firefox logo."
- danieltobey, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3To not fund them, dick.

- necromancer, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3I am angry with God for not giving me more fingers too. I mean, if I can do all this stuff with 5, imagine what I could do with 8 or 9 on each hand.
- TVarmy, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3I like C&H, but I had never seen that one. That was great. It really is bizarre to think that humanity considers the best way (short of diplomacy) to rectify deadlocked political disagreements/differences to be through killing and property damage. I wonder if that's an innately human flaw, or just the logical reaction to an "unfair" treatment or situation.
- rinote, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2Dugg for Monty Python.
- Broschati, on 01/13/2009, -1/+3Point well made.
The animation is well done too, nice job. - yacks, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2LOL Much much better...
"Your camera has to be intact!" - depro9, on 01/13/2009, -1/+3The best way to stop wars is not to fund them.

- Aliwalla, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2Les Français sont tres étranges
- stupidfilters, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2War is inevitable. No matter what happens there will always be something to fight over. (religion, race, cultural differences, power, epeen etc) The problem is that people with power force those who have no interest into fighting for them.
The short animation portrays it a bit differently, as they just start fighting cause they were bored. - danieltobey, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2I guess posting comments is a waste, too.
- yacks, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2more fingers? I want more arms!
- kurejibitch, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2With social animals such as we, there will always be disagreements and there will always be fighting. The key is not to aim to once-and-for-all end wars and bring forever fairytale peace, but to continuously work towards a better understanding of resolving natural conflicts that arise with responsibility and respect.
It's a very, very hard thing to do on a massive scale, as we can all see. Even as individuals it can sometimes prove near impossible. We are a long ways off yet. - SlowFoodRules, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2God? nah... that was a peace-loving space traveler doing community service. you know, helping others in need? And a planet locked into military solutions to human conflict is indeed a planet in need of help.
- vt007ken, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2An overlooked point is that they kill God, all because of jealousy. It's symbolic of the destruction of belief in God, when we should be criticizing religion instead.
- TVarmy, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2The title is part of a Latin adage which means, "If you want peace, prepare for war." I think the idea depicted here is that there isn't a simple, idealistic solution to war. If the hippie made them exactly like him, or even with extra fingers, they would probably have a short peace and then begin to disagree about something else. Or perhaps they'd try to steal his spaceship or build a copy of his spaceship, and the group that gets it better use their advantage to rule over the others, which leads to corruption, and then a revolt and war.
I'm not quite sure it's anti-war, but it is pro-peace. Perhaps the message they hoped to convey is that we need to accept differences rather than try to destroy them, to create a lasting peace. As long as there are individuals, any homogeneous group will eventually split up based on personality, individual talents/preferences, etc, so differences are constant, as shown by the scene with the dirt warpaint. What might be better destroyed is prejudice and xenophobia. - TVarmy, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2Did you just dis Captain Jean-Luc Picard?
- danieltobey, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2I see it now!
But I support the Blue race. - GeezerD, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2The earth is a giant asylum, and everyone is an inmate. Each person thinks he/she is the only sane person on the planet, and everyone is insane, on a continuum from slightly nuts (your friends) to really wacked.
- danieltobey, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2I think it's saying that war is stupid, but no matter what, we will still fight.
