"Me" is correct in the same way that I don't write "I" to label myself in a photograph. The "I" here doesn't necessarily have to be thought of as a component of the main sentence, but rather, as an aside.

            Of course, the real answer is that there is no right answer in language, only convention :)

We get it, the show isn't as great as the first nine years, it doesn't need to be said repeatedly.
      • DephexTwin, on 05/06/2008, -0/+4Exactly... it's such well-worn territory by now that it's impossible to expect it to continue to be fresh. We know it, the writers know it, but do we want it to actually just be gone? I think most people would say it's good enough to continue.

        We're lucky that the Simpsons is a show where the main actors can't age (it's a cartoon) and don't require a huge commitment (record a few minutes of dialog from anywhere in the world).
