- reelskamachine, on 06/06/2009, -0/+27Yea, but i wish there was a guy version, who wore a trench coat, and was cajun, and threw cards that he could make them blow up. if only... I'd call that character Gambit. He'd fight with a bo staff too, but thats just my dream
- AlKo, on 06/05/2009, -0/+23What's sad is the potential her powers have... she can make anything blow up. Damn that's a power with infinite coolness potential... she could do lots of not looking at explosions and walking away slowly.
- skip694, on 06/06/2009, -0/+23that may be the most poorly written article I have never bothered to read
- dalnet22, on 06/05/2009, -2/+18The thought of Jubilee has always upset me.
- joemofo214, on 06/05/2009, -2/+16I was about to flip a ***** when I saw Cable on the list, until I read on
- reelskamachine, on 06/06/2009, -0/+13not an FML moment. People need to stop using that phrase
- RustyMcloon, on 06/06/2009, -1/+14"Look, characters have been brought back in a lot of silly ways, but two ***** hearts? That’s just…silly." What the heck is this crap? This article does not belong on the Digg front page.
And for the record, there ain't nothing silly about that picture of Jubilee. - towlie2110, on 06/06/2009, -1/+10"So during the “Mutant Massacre” Gambit saves a little girl with bones sticking out of her face and saves her. "
Dugg for this - inquebiss, on 06/06/2009, -1/+10Absolutely buried for including Cable at number one.
- superherogirl, on 06/06/2009, -1/+8Cable is by no means silly.... Bizarre back story... yes. Silly. no.
- jessebeans, on 06/06/2009, -0/+7the whole article was practically littered in them-- i.e. "Gambit saves a little girl with bones sticking out of her face and saves her."
- inactive, on 06/06/2009, -0/+7Is the ability to get a really poorly written article over 200 diggs a mutant superpower?
- etruscan, on 06/06/2009, -0/+7Rob Liefeld does suck.
- inactive, on 06/06/2009, -2/+7buried for being written by a 12 year old trying to use big words.
"So during the “Mutant Massacre” Gambit saves a little girl with bones sticking out of her face and saves her. " - exactly what i'm talking about. - jessebeans, on 06/06/2009, -0/+5dugg down for the lack of spell check
- beskurrd, on 06/06/2009, -0/+3"Gambit saves a little girl with bones sticking out of her face and saves her."
Sorry, I thought that needed to be repeated one more time... - skinny01, on 06/06/2009, -0/+3They make Cables origin sound like an episode of Soap.
- alexforcefive, on 06/06/2009, -0/+3I was only little at the time, but I was really into the whole "future last surviving x-man" thing, as well as the idea that this dumb kid was potentially the most powerful mutant on earth. I realise now that's a pretty clicheed idea, but at the time I thought it was cool
- coltrane68, on 06/06/2009, -1/+4Douglock and Cable are very cool characters. The rest I can agree on.
- tgc1, on 06/06/2009, -0/+3Was just about to say the same thing.
- RaulMuadDib, on 06/06/2009, -0/+3That's like, 2 times the save. Save.
- CLShortFuse, on 06/06/2009, -0/+3"I would use many words to describe the writing of Chris Claremont on X-Men. Hep is not one of them."
Hep: -informed about the latest trends
What an appropriate typo - Baku, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2What... no Beak? (well, before he becomes Blackwing anyway)
- Alisx123, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2What a clever way to fix the mistakes of writers and creators past :-) Great work Marvel. It's like Noah's Ark
- ZenMojo, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2Jubilee was really well-written in Lobdell's run on Generation X, and that's about the time she became one of my favorite characters.
- BrandonJM, on 06/05/2009, -1/+3I was just happy the post avoided a "Rob Liefield sucks" comment in ripping on Cable.
- TonyTheTerrible, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2i like the mentioning of dc's tattooed man
if it makes you feel any better these bad ideas were erased when the millions of mutants world wide were depowered, leaving only the favorite and more marketable ones intact. - earthceltic, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2"flip a *****" eh
- Alisx123, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2Glad they stayed in 616 universe. The other universes are just washed-out wannabes especially Ultimate. I want to rip my eyes out whenever I see that show listed in my tv guide.
Jubilee was always a really underdeveloped young Dazzler. They really could have been more creative with her. It's disturbing that the "ancient Wolverine and young innocent girl" pair ups are such a hit year over year.
I don't think the Marrow character is that bad. Her purpose has always been a side-character and in that way she excels with a developed background connecting her to the mutant world's Holocaust, strong personality and a pretty consistent psychological profile. - ek3s, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2***** you. Doctor Who has two hearts.
- Chooxo, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2"Do I really need to go any further with this?"
I hate when top-ten bloggers write that. It's your article: make it comprehensive. And don't lazy out with three sentences, an image, and a "need I say more?" All I learned was that Maggot supposedly has a dumb name (even though he doesn't) and dumb powers (even though they aren't). Perhaps you *can* go further with this. - hatdrop, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2i know how i'll save everyone! i'll create a distraction! EVIL BAD GUYS! look at my fireworks!
- inactive, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2Where the ***** is Beak on this list?
- Minapan, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2I loved Jubilee, but then again i've always loved asians
- TonyTheTerrible, on 06/06/2009, -1/+3http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv143/AgeQuodAg ...
- SolitaireRose, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2Cable is everything wrong with the X-Men in the 90's: Time travel, clones, alternate futures, undefined powers and a mysterious past that is never completely revealed.
- inactive, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2How silly.
- robdiggity, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2"Tonight I'm gonna rock ya tonight."
- David St. Hubbins, Spinal Tap, 1984 - Chooxo, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1Our British "Essential X-Men" comic came with a collectible encyclopaedia and I was always fascinated with Jubilee's entry, which states that in an alternate future (now averted), she is known as "The Last X-Man" and that her powers are untapped, and a foreseen future predicts her blasts will be as powerful as nuclear bombs.
Don't follow the comics enough to know if that ever came to pass, but I always liked Jubilee based on that entry, just thinking of a currently weak X-Man who would someday become insanely powerful and "The Last X-Man". I liked the idea of that potential.
Plus I dug her in the 90s cartoon. - hushpuppy20, on 06/07/2009, -0/+1I actually like Cannonball. He's a bit dull sometimes like a Cyclops-lite, but nothing overly lame about him IMO.
His family (Husk, Icarus) are interesting and him being from the south is something unique that sets him apart from most, besides Rogue.
He's an External (I think he still is) so he is technically supposed to live forever.
Recently in Cable, he was the only mutant still alive in the future besides Deadpool. Looks like he will not only not get killed but outlive everyone else! - saturninus, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1No Dazzler?
- hushpuppy20, on 06/07/2009, -0/+1I gave up too, and I've read the whole thing from the beginning. F*** Time Travel!
- SolitaireRose, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1No, he means Hep.
Because he's a beatnik. - bytor4232fb, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1Indeed. Cable, Marrow, and Jubilee don't deserve to be on this list over these lameos
- jaydark123, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1No Toad?
That's like the worst one.. - phoenix2330, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1wow some of those back stories are just way to complicated, the cable story started to make my brain hurt.. to much BS
- ell0bo, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1Jubilee or Boom Boom, which one is hotter? I've always had to go with Boom Boom myself.
- inactive, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1And this is why I only watch the movies and read one-shots nowadays, you need to have a degree in comics to keep track of 50 years of plot.
- DRNOOO, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1Callisto
Cable
Lock / Doug a.k.a Douglock
there is nothing wrong with the above 3 !~
Cable is Cable period ! His origins have gotten convoluted only due to many writer changes but the character is solid !
Callisto was given the right as Leader by Storm of the Morlocks ( Sewer mutants ) plus she is a wicked kick ass body guard for Charles X
Lock is a tech organic being he is wicked - When Doug origianl Leader of the New Mutants died - Lock formed into his dead body cause he was sad and missed Doug as did the team - hecne Douglock ( stupid name ) was created -still oveerall a cool character !
I'm sorry there is a ***** load in the mutant /Xmen archives Hero and villain that would oust out most of this supposed silly Top 10 list !
ehem

this list is just a random opinions , anyone here could close there yes and point to a lame mutant that Marvel has created ( name, power origin etc ) all i'm pointing out there are ones out there more deserved of the title o silliest then the ones listed - hushpuppy20, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1This was a good list but if you dig a little deeper there are Sooo many more, not even including the villains.
