1. Optimus Prime - morningmatters, on 06/09/2009, -0/+15I have always thought Grimlock was the most enjoyable Autobot to watch in the series, although his transformation (dinosaur) didn't exactly fit G1 cars/airplanes theme.
OmegaSupreme brings back memories. It was definitely the coolest among the big autobots ( I think the other big autobot was the dinosaur/shuttle but I forgot the name). After seeing it at a local toy store I begged my parents to get that and Optimus Prime for xmas, but instead I got the decepticon train/shuttle robot. The later was nice, but not nearly as cool as the big robots. Decades later, I managed to buy a re-issued Optimus Prime toy but I never saw Omega Supreme toy again. - Farmer77, on 06/09/2009, -1/+15***** you Hot Rod!
- roomforpanic, on 06/09/2009, -0/+11I can remember sitting in my living room in 1986 watching Transformers and crying my eyes out (I was 7) when Optimus Prime died.
- Pxtl, on 06/09/2009, -2/+13Thanks for reminding me how fugly the movie transformers are in robot mode. I mean obviously they didn't want to leave them as giant blocky toy-looking things, but the freakish masses of greebles they made for the new movie are just inscrutable. It was hard to tell Ironhide and Ratchet apart.
I'm still grumpy how they didn't take advantage of Peter Cullen to make Ironhide have the same grizzled southern veteran thing he had going in the original series. - DonCarcharo, on 06/09/2009, -1/+11Are you sure these are Transformers? I mean their robot modes are clean and resemble their alternate forms. Likewise their alternate forms aren't contemporary vehicles in some thinly disguised corporate sponsorship. Plus many of these characters actually have character, backstories and history. I can actually tell them apart. Someone must be confused, these aren't the Transformers Mr. Bay created.
/Misses the real Transformers
//Has a complete G1 series and a boxed Prime and Megatron
//Michael Bay hates my childhood - LeadStripes, on 06/09/2009, -3/+11Too many pages, buried.
- ironhide, on 06/09/2009, -1/+7Number 3? I'm offended.
- splinter09, on 06/09/2009, -0/+6Omega Supreme Rules!
- djphilos, on 06/09/2009, -0/+6Buried for no Skyfire (or Jetfire for those who bought one of the best transformer toy ever created) or Fortress Maxiumus.
- onesidedsquare, on 06/09/2009, -0/+5Shockwave is a Deception, this is a list for Autobots,
so no, Shockwave is not cool enough for this list - ontain, on 06/09/2009, -0/+5I think Metroplex was actually bigger than OmegaSupreme
- jayhawk88, on 06/09/2009, -1/+6No Jetfire/Skyfire?
- djphilos, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4Anyone remember the Headmasters? I finally realize why my parents were always snickering when I told them I wanted one.
- djphilos, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4I remember Astrotrain. I got him for Christmas too.
- Coffeedemon, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4He was the greatest toy version of all though. Aside from that lame snap on armor he was huge, durable and could double as a Macross/Robotech jet if you wanted to do a cross-over.
- harajukukei, on 06/09/2009, -1/+5no ultra magnus?
- Coffeedemon, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4I beg to differ. For the majority of my life I've rooted for the bad guy in cartoons and movies. Prime was the only good guy leader I ever liked. Awesome through and through... It might have had something to do with Megatron's ridiculous transformation though (shrinking so another transformer could hold/fire him). What little boy doesn't like big red trucks though?
- jam3p, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4"When Optimus Prime died in Transformers: The Movie, it was Hot Rod who was selected to receive the Matrix of Leadership."
Not exactly, and:
"He could frequently be seen hanging out with Daniel Witwicky in the original Animated series."
I'm not 100% sure on this one, but weren't both Daniel and Hot Rod introduced in the movie? I guess they could be talking about the post movie seasons, but the only time he was Hot Rod was after Optimus was brought back. - ShaggyTDawg, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4FTA: "When Optimus Prime died in Transformers: The Movie, it was Hot Rod who was selected to receive the Matrix of Leadership."
Wrong... sure he caught it when Prime dropped it... but it was Ultra Magnus that was selected to receive it. Hot Rod got his hands on it later b/c Ultra Magnus got his ass handed to him and lost it. - Coffeedemon, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4I'm at work... best not to 'dip the pen in company ink' as far as I'm concerned.
- bicyclethief, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3Blaster and his tapes are pretty dope-- especially when he fights Soundwave and his tapes.
- sandersdamnit, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3"Better cover your receptors, Preceptor!"
- Ajajadude, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3I hate the fact that they couldn't use Cullen for Ironhide's voice. I also hate the fact that they didn't go with the original voice actor for Megatron, despite the fact that they used him in the game (can't think of his name off the top of my head). What the hell is that *****?
- h3lx, on 06/09/2009, -5/+8Shockwave. I don't know if it's in this list because I'm not wading through all that *****.

It'd been nice if the design team behind the transformers movie had created characters that were somewhat based on the original concepts... the new ones look like clipart collages with robotic voices animated so quickly you can't make out much more than the shape (and they've done the same thing to GI Joe).
Some part of the vehicle they were should be recognizable in the robotic form. - jam3p, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3Then they brought him back in season 3 and killed him again, before bringing him back for good.
- EricAnderton, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3Meh. I'd rather watch Robotech to get my V1F-Valkyrie fix. :)
- dfross, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3Dugg for Prowl, Wheeljack, Mirage and Jazz. I had the Prowl transformer and it was awesome. Wheeljack's car was great, and Mirage and Jazz were the very first ones I saw, in the TV ad for it. Amazing times :)
Still not too fond of the new look transformers, the facial features are not clear enough, and they don't resemble their automobile forms enough, just amorphous humanoid blobs of wire and metal with the occasional bit of panelling on them. E.g. old Jazz vs Jazz from the movie. - theOster, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autobot
teh hell with science and programming, we need to fight the evil forces of ... the Decepticons.
(also might want to take a look here:
http://www.rhymes.org.uk/one_two_buckle_my_shoe.ht ... - jamesallen74, on 06/10/2009, -0/+2Thank you!! While the movie was good, I hated how they made the transformers robot form look like metal vomit. I miss how cool the transformers looked back in G1 days. Movie artistic direction FAIL!
- MrZaiko, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2Career change FTW
...Unless you're just a little kid of course. Keep dreaming! - Ajajadude, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2I think you're right about that last part. I'm fairly certain there was no Hot Rod, or Daniel, through the first 2 seasons and they only showed up in the series in the 3rd season, after Prime was gone.
- jam3p, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2Sky Lynx sucked, or at least his voice did.
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -1/+2Only two per page?! Ugh.
Soundwave was an awesome toy with the little transforming cassette tapes. Woo yeah.
Speaking of old school transforming toys... anyone remember ROCK LORDS?
Rocks! ...that... transform... - awtripp, on 06/09/2009, -1/+2How about Blurr? He was awesome strictly because John Moschitta, Jr. did his voice (crazy fast talker from Micro Machines commercials, etc). And no Ultra Magnus -- I know he was kind of a wanna-be, but still, I like him better than bumblebee.
- unfilterthought, on 06/09/2009, -1/+2Buried for Omega Supreme. He was USELESS. If the autobots had such a powerful ally, why wasnt he around more? Oh thats right....cause then the Autobots would win and then the series would end. -.-
- djphilos, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Razorbeak transform.
- UselessTrivia, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Heck yeah...I had a bunch of Rock Lords. Granite was my favorite....
Does anyone remember the Rock Lords vs Go-Bots movie? It's all a bit hazy, but I remember something about a giant spinning wheel that had slots in it, and the bad guys were trying to collect, I think, weapons from the rock lords and/or the go-bots to make it power up and become an ultimate weapon or something. - flamesrule, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Sky Lynx was the dinosaur shuttle. I thought he was weird looking.
- MrZaiko, on 06/09/2009, -1/+2I would choose Ultra Magnus over rodimus! Ultra Magnus was like the Joey from Friends. Dumb as *****, but still better
- Kronos6948, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1"..I feel like a piece of *****"
"And that's who you'll be from now on, Kup...*****!" - Ajajadude, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1My dammed brother always broke my stuff.

Anyone reading this thread has probably seen this but if not it's f'ing funny. - Vertabreaker, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Sideswipe should've been on there.
- fresh55, on 10/30/2009, -0/+0Get your own Optimus Prime to hang with at Wallstickers.net
http://www.wallstickers.net/Optimus-Prime-Wall-Sti ... - frankdatank1303, on 06/25/2009, -0/+0this list sucks, ultra magnus would whoop everyone except optimus prime, and possible grimlock. Jazz would also lose to grimlock, and omeaga supreme. so they should be before him
