- trogdoor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8This is the direct link to the Coca Cola ad ( I guess the poster didn't see the "direct link" button )
http://www.psyop.tv/cocacola - TacitusBen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I love that the site work so well even with JavaScript disabled. Wonderful hand-drawn movie players, and exciting videos. Nice.
- arter2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5they all rock Psyop does some really incredible work. i just hope my work will get up to that point so i can maybe get an internship with them from my school. thank god they take people from Sva
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Other ones that rule: EA sports, Fox NASCAR, Bombay Sapphire, MTV HD, Nike, Lugz 01.
If you're involved in marketing, the Psyop Anthem is hilarious. They made that one in like two weeks, too, which is insane.
If you can trick them into thinking you're a prospective client, you can get them to send you a DVD of their work, which is awesome (I have one). Alternately, you could try telling them you're a fan, but they have lots of those, so that probably won't work. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I can't figure out how to make the direct links work, oh well.
- everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4that's where psyop comes in.
- Livewire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Can you make a torrent of the iso image? Please?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3??? From everything under "propaganda" i would think they were some anti-capitalist organization among the ranks of adbusters. But they do (amazing)work for some of the biggest multinational corporations around. Why do they flaunt their contradiction?
I find watching "Influence" and the McDonalds ads back-to-back particularly..... enlightening? confusing? insipiring? something.... - fancypantscz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3LIFE imitates LIFE imitates ART imitates LIFE imitates ART imitates LIFE imitates AD imitates ART imitates LIFE imitates AD imitates ART imitates AD imitates ART imitates AD imitates AD imitates AD
Why think for yourself when you could make someone rich by letting them think for you?
I bet your unborn grandchildren have an answer to that question. - gregformager, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4sigh.... internet geeks try to find everything on wiki. you aren't going to be able to find modern design agencies or creatives on wiki. that is a place for widespread/common information. and if there is any info on there that is more obscure it is usually of interest to geeks.
psyop is ancient news in the design/ad world. it's funny how users of this site get news about something outside their little internet-nerd experiences that appears fresh to them when anyone outside of geekland would call it old news. and yet you flame and demean each other for posting old nerd news. ironic. - ophello, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Bombay Sapphire FTW...
I've known about Psyop's work for some time now. They never fail to blow my mind.
Check out the AT&T ads for a good dose of eye sex. - roqua, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why are you and I the only people to have noticed that so far? On the off-chance that they are contradicting themselves to generate interest... I am going to not be interested.
- Wonotch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2SVA FTW. It's where I'll be next fall.
- dustko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Psyop came to Australia to deliver a lecture to a design conference about memes. It was really inspirational and the work they showed was amazing. I've gotta say, Psyop are one of, if not _the_ top design group in the world. They set the standard. Much love to Psyop.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2uhmm, they include McDonalds, CocaCola, and Starbucks among their clients.
If they're anti-capitalist, they've got a funny way of showing it... - Angostura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They ran the Coke ad on UK TV for a while. It was splendid. Only in a very few slots tho.
- Barryke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2He has a point there.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They take people who are good, they don't care where you went to school. Speaking from experience.
- skrike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Psyop has been my favorite company for a long time. If you call them they will send out a DVD reel of some of their work on it for screening purposes. The MTV ad they did with the crows looks amazing in HD and SOUNDS INSANE on a decent audio system. I highly recommend it.
- Pushkin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Lovely site and cool that the flash "direct link" changes to text to allow cut and paste
- dyl0n, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I have looked into the face of pure evil and it was far worse than I could ever have imagined.
- Frost35, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1heh, that coke ad always plays at the movies before the actual movie starts. So strange, but magnificent
- xesive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If someone has the DVD could you rip it and upload it somewhere like yousendit.com or whatever.
I just don't want to bother them.
Cheers - dvgraphics, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Heh...never expected to find SVA people in the sea of digg. *high five*
- heffer2k02, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Adidas is my fave. Yum.
- riquock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this ads has been up on digg once.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't get anything on my Vista RC1 machine. I just see a blank page under ff2.0 and IE...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1How the hell am I supposed to know to buy coke from that ad?
- mxswan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1totally fab - psyop
- fakepatriot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've seen these before a long time ago. That isn't to say I didn't enjoy watching them again, but it isn't very new. Dugg anyway because Psyop is awesome.
- ophello, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love that you misspelled "ads".
- peon1234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't diss us, just tell us why psyops is, dammit.
- psyops2000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Oh yea. :)
- Coronagold, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Wow. Another anti-consumer/anti-capitalist toon. If it's intention was to shock they're about 40 years late.
- peon1234, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Explain your second statement.
- ophello, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0How about a...what's it called...point?
- RandomGuySteve, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0They are responsible for producing some of the most god damn annoying Mcdonalds commercials ever.
- ophello, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0@ Monolith2
Try clicking on "Operations".
Don't be afraid of links. They don't bite. That's how you gain information as to a sites purpose. Brush up on your internet skills, my man. - 574lk3r, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1never heard of it before,
all i could find about psyop was from wikki,
Psyop TV - Psyop is an advertising company with fortune 500 customers that uses Psychological Operations.
sounds decidedly dodgy to me,
i thought the u.s. stopped doing stuff like this in the 50's?
guess ill be watching with my eyes and ears closed... - LabRat777, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2I love that I submitted this months ago.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3wtf is this *****?
