- PvtJenkins, on 07/12/2008, -21/+425Nah, that was really awesome actually. The way I see it, all that strange Dr. Seuss from hell stuff was the artists way of expressing the chemistry of love brewing up around them and inside them. Notice when he leaves the train at his stop, there's nothingness. He would have passed up a chance never to come back again. But when he comes back on, it all starts up again. We all know how we see the world threw a different lens when in love. I think this was just a twist on that idea.
Also reminded me of this short film. Check it out:

- vodkataime, on 07/12/2008, -3/+55I guess I'm going to be the only person trying to make sense of this...basically the artist is trying to show how absurd it is to talk about completely random and irrelevant things when you want to say something else. The guy probably wants to ask her out and the girl is interested, but its not really customary to just do that upfront. So I guess the artist compares this to being harrased by tentacles and *****? Hey, at least I tried...
- FoxOrian, on 07/12/2008, -0/+52I know this feeling myself, traveling on the subway almost every day. To me, all of the stuff going on around them in the panels is some sort of embodiment of anxiousness, [or overcoming the anxiousness,] much how I feel whenever I actually feel like I want to talk to someone I'd like to know better.
Unfortunately, I always do get off at my stop into that void of nothingness :(
And you know what? By the time I get home, I regret it every time... guh. - Fermented, on 07/12/2008, -10/+60mirror?

- overridemymind, on 07/13/2008, -0/+37Well, I think the tentacles and insects are a representation of that nervous / tingly-all-over / pit in your stomach feeling you get when you meet someone that you feel you could be interested in. IMO, they're both obviously flirting, and I don't know about you, but my stomach tossed and turned when I first met my fiance.
The reason the train is in the sky and the guy drops off whenever he gets off the train is a representation of the falling feeling he gets when he realizes that, perhaps he's making a mistake -- he doesn't want to end the conversation with this girl just by getting off the train.
Basically, the tentacles and whatnot are a representation of "love at first sight" and the feelings and emotions, the adrenal roller coaster ride that comes with falling in love. It's a weird representation, granted, but it symbolizes the initial stages of falling in love rather effectively, IMO. - jebzaki, on 07/12/2008, -0/+37Barman - A bartender (barman, barkeeper, barmaid, mixologist among other names) serves beverages behind a bar in a bar, pub, tavern, or similar establishment
