http://juannavarro.wordpress.com/2007/12/21/realfi ... - trammell, on 02/26/2008, -17/+482"Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor [sic] disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?" Classic.
- SRSco, on 02/26/2008, -16/+242Best Garfield Comic: http://garfieldisdead.ytmnd.com/
- xShad0w, on 02/26/2008, -1/+212So thats why Jon got pets.
- NeoNightmareX, on 02/26/2008, -0/+156That's why Jon THINKS he has pets.
- cyranthus, on 02/26/2008, -0/+128"Theres something wrong with my pants!" ....... !!
- mjpanzer, on 02/26/2008, -3/+113Can someone do Calvin and Hobbes without Hobbes? That way we can see how really mentally ***** up Calvin is.
- WarMachineWCLH, on 02/26/2008, -8/+102That would have been better if there was just a link to the images of the comics. The stupid whiny emo playing in the background was completely unnecessary. I'm going to save everyone here some time, go here:
http://garfield.com/comics/comics_archives_strip.h ...
And then go to the wikipedia page to read the discussion. - c0baltfish, on 02/26/2008, -3/+95These strips instantly became worth reading.
- seth123q, on 02/26/2008, -5/+89im an empty grocery sack as well. i have noticed that garfield has gotten worse and worse until i saw this, all garfield should be like this
- TnTBass, on 02/26/2008, -4/+82I would agree with the schizophrenia part. Mainly because most of the comics make Jon look like he's talking to himself. I especially like the one where there is only dialog in the middle frame, with Jon saying "I think my toes are jealous of my fingers because they get to point at things!". Classic.
- DukeMojo, on 02/26/2008, -0/+74Not often that you take the main character out and the "story" gets better.
- inactive, on 02/26/2008, -7/+70I disturbed half the office laughing, this is too damn funny.
(long time Garfield fan, own all the books/tv shows up till the last few publishings) - mikexisxwar, on 02/26/2008, -2/+52wow, a lot of those were really depressing. but amusing. depressingly amusing.
- Arcae, on 02/26/2008, -2/+51HA!! I am more interested in the comic without Garfield in it.
- GuacamoleSan, on 02/26/2008, -0/+47That was the creepiest ***** i have seen in a long time
- Jschluet, on 02/26/2008, -1/+39Jim Davis must be a sad, sad man.
I didn't think it was possible to be depressed after reading a comic. - UltraKill, on 02/26/2008, -0/+37http://www.shoutfile.com/v/kiyMaP99/Robot_Chicken_ ...
- rurounikengyrl, on 02/26/2008, -0/+32I always thought Jon was crazy either way.. just look at the color of his walls!
- thesparrowband, on 02/26/2008, -0/+32http://ceebeegeebee.wordpress.com/2007/08/28/garfi ...
- Turr, on 02/26/2008, -0/+31it also explains his relationship issues
- BayonneCyborg, on 02/26/2008, -0/+31Unbelievable. Garfield was what was wrong with this strip all along. They are haunting... and actually funny now.
- inactive, on 02/26/2008, -3/+33Thanks for qualifying your statement...I would have dugg you down otherwise
- PtoS382, on 02/26/2008, -0/+30Yes, yes you are an empty grocery sack...
- ravan46, on 02/26/2008, -0/+29Wow, that small series was actually really good. If someone told me I would have read some Garfield comics today and be touched by them, I would have laughed really, really hard.
- NeverSage, on 02/26/2008, -6/+34It's too bad they didn't link to where this actually originated (http://www.truthandbeautybombs.com/bb/viewtopic.ph ... Page 23: zymish's post
- mmortal03, on 02/27/2008, -0/+28You could have totally goatse'd everybody with the fifth link.
- jakobmakob, on 02/26/2008, -2/+295 more that I made:

http://isthatclear.com/other/garf4.jpg
http://isthatclear.com/other/garf5.jpg - spacewhale, on 02/26/2008, -0/+27It might have something to do with the fact that Jim Davis no longer writes the strip.
- virtorio, on 02/26/2008, -3/+29Yeah that's a hell of a lot better.
- ChzPlz, on 02/26/2008, -0/+26If only they could get do Marmaduke without Marmaduke.
When the punchline to every comic is pretty much "Wow, he's a big dog!", you know your comic sucks. - NathanielJ, on 02/26/2008, -2/+28...that's the point of mjpanzer's comment.
- gd1z, on 02/26/2008, -0/+26never heard of ytmnd?
- Coffeedemon, on 02/26/2008, -0/+25Almost like when a clown dies.
- Tokyosexwhale, on 02/26/2008, -0/+24These strips are really great. And with so much Garfield material out there, it would be sweet to see a whole book of these or something like that. Garfield was a big part of my childhood but become kinda lame and dumb over the yearss It's great seeing it in a whole different way.
- BillyK, on 02/26/2008, -6/+29Just more stealing of 4chan memes - Psycho John and Realfield. But that's all Digg is now; recycled, somewhat-sanitized 4chan garbage.
- familynight, on 02/26/2008, -0/+23using a "1" instead of an "i" precludes you from criticizing others.
- madpie, on 02/26/2008, -0/+23Or "Cathy" without Cathy. But then who would have a nervous breakdown in the third panel?
- sgtbutterscotch, on 02/26/2008, -0/+23You don't have to find something funny to be appreciative of it. I mean Garfield can be funny sometimes, but I don't think it's always funny in the way normal comic strips are. Same with Peanuts. And please don't tell me you find Nancy funny. I will go insane if anyone tells me that who is not 5.
- AndrewDB, on 02/26/2008, -1/+24I'm a fan of lasagnacat on youtube. :)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=yELOiYgR2aI - bethlagarrison, on 02/26/2008, -0/+22Oh man.. that first one for Feb 21st is spectacular.
http://data.tumblr.com/fSymsOGXO5pexpxkhFgxmTxr_50 ... - Kaiyu, on 02/26/2008, -1/+23no you don't get the point, then you'll see Garfield there and the schizophrenia effect is gone.
- dcmjzero, on 02/26/2008, -9/+31they just basically copied: http://www.truthandbeautybombs.com/bb/viewtopic.ph ...
- floppyparty, on 02/26/2008, -6/+28...Hobbes isn't real in the first place, lol.
- Staticbursts, on 02/26/2008, -0/+21It has been years...maybe even decades...since Jim Davis has actually writen a Garfield strip. Not to mention that if you read any of the Garfield story books (let's just say that I used to love Garfield as a kid) Jim Davis is only credited as the book's "creator" whereas there are about three different authors and six different illustrators. Not to mention that Garfield not NOTHING on Calvin and Hobbes. Best...Comic Strip...Ever...
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 02/26/2008, -0/+20Where's Odie?
- suprxtragrav, on 12/09/2008, -1/+21that was deep.
- MadOtaku, on 02/26/2008, -1/+19I'm with the department of semantics, you need to come with me; trammell is with the spelling police, not grammar police.
- insertAliasHere, on 02/26/2008, -1/+18It's YTMND. Expect ***** like that on every YTMND page you ever see.
