I bet that you could walk up to a person, ask them to name 3 things that Billy Mays has pitched, and 75% of people would be able to tell you. That is the mark of an amazing salesman. Plus, in recent months, between the ESPN 360 commercials, the McDonald's drive-thru video, and the Pitchmen show, Billy has shown himself to be a funny, classy guy that didn't take himself too seriously.

Actually, he said his ex had a miscarriage and it was a huge thing (why they split if I remember right). He said it impacted him heavily, and he wanted to convey it through the comic.
Of course, that doesn't really work when your comic is supposed to be comedic. Some people draw a connection that shouldn't exist. -
