- jsd8cc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26What if Tim Burton did commercials...
- homestar14, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24Wow. That was one of the better and more creative commercials I've seen in a while. If more commercials were like this, I might not mind them interrupting my shows.

This one pretty cool, The endless battle between coke and pepsi - apotropaic, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23Thanks for the link... why can't people just digg straight to the source?
- dongiaconia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Are you crazy? The Coke in bottles from Mexico is far better than domestically produced Coca-Cola. Since most other countries don't have an over-abundance of corn, Coca-Cola from Mexico uses real sugar as the sweetener. Here we use crappy ass corn syrup. Thank you corn...
- piesforyou, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17I'd mind after the 20th or so time.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Holy Crap, I need to drink a Coke now....
- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Just goes to show you where your money goes with soft drinks:
$0.01 for the water
$0.01 for the ingredients
$1.98 for the advertising - Yez70, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14I want glass bottles back!!!
(and not the ones from Mexico) - drunkjack, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Now, if only they'd stop poisoning me with High Fructrose Corn Syrup.
Seriously, I love my soft drinks as much as I love my alcohol, and I'd gladly pay the few dimes extra to get cane sugar in my cola again, but until they stop using that ***** and ***** with my body, I'll stick to water. And whiskey. - Ayavaron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9The fact this makes the front page of Digg really shows that creative and interesting advertisements are effective. It's really cool that ads are entertaining these days. It makes you watch them voluntarily. In the most optimistic scenario, this would rejuvenate the ad industry with lots of talented people and the ads would be more fun to watch. Win win for all.
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9no, another $0.01 of that goes to those tiny little workers they have inside the vending machines. So that leaves $1.97 to the ad agencies.
- GUESShimself, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8after all that and the soda didn't even explode in the guy's face. i'm impressed!
- JurneyAhed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I find it interesting that you're actually trying to apply realism to that advert
;o) - Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12That's been running in Europe (UK & Ireland) for about two months now.
- Canadiens1160, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7These machines are systematically exterminating thousands of snowmen and you think this is an inventive commercial?
Shame. - leesto, on 12/17/2008, -0/+7That's very cool and made me laugh! Shame it was banned.
- ddizzle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7fantastic animation...nice to see their giant advert budget spent on something cool!
- whackaxe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6nice commercial. they forget the murdered trade unions leaders though http://www.killercoke.org/
- vvargoal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Poor snowmen...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5since when does coke cost a quarter?
- sonick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Your comment suits your name quite well.
- gfixler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I find it interesting that Snarlbads (the purple things that fly the empty bottle past the waterfall) and the Poofblatts (white things that sucker onto the bottle) could work together like this. It's total bull. Their races have been mortal enemies since The Splitting. They wouldn't work together. They'd be locked in razor tooth vs. poison spore darts battle, killing every other creature in there along the way. That alone should've told you this was all fake. It's probably CGI, or some kinda camera trickery.
- etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I have to agree. I generally don't Digg video links like this, but I've gotta give kudos to the design team who thought up and created this commercial... it's very clever.
- mateo60, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6If it always took that long to get my coke, i'd be pissed.
Good commercial though. :) - theLEGENDisBACK, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Wow one of the most innovative commercials ive seen in years...
- piesforyou, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6That's the very same name that came to mind when I saw this.
- CharlesMay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'm not a Pepsi drinker, but this is by far one of the greatest ones in the Coke vs Pepsi battles.
- david76, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You can thank import tariffs on sugar for the use of high fructose corn syrup.
Here's some additional information on the impact of sugar tariffs:

And some additional information on the history of sugar tariffs in the U.S.:
http://www.fff.org/freedom/0498d.asp - Seddon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4That's a class advert. Better than the one linked to at the top.
- abaybas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3what a wonderful magical little world working so hard! it's almost worth the diabetes and the cancer! yay! :D
oh, of course I drink coke. duh. - edto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3where can I find a glass coke dispenser like that off 1 coin.
- Flashman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4It IS! AMAZING!
- Basketb926, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2How do you know this is an animation and not what really happens?
- SlappyMc, on 10/12/2007, -7/+9That is NOT what happens..
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Says the guy sitting on his ass in front of an energy-consuming eye-straining device.
- 0siris, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I definately enjoyed that, and if i didnt already drink coke over pepsi, id start because of that.
- twe4ked, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There should be a delete button next to the edit button that is also only editable for 3 mins
- richpav, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Anyone notice how easy it would be to customize this commercial to a new market? Re-shoot the two exterior shots, render a new coin and recycle the rest. Brilliant.
- Misunderstood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2At the safeway near me you actually can get quarter cokes.
- tanveer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2for every pespi, there're two coke being sold...hence coke made more money in that commercial...isn't that kinda ironic?
- qwertydvorak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3DONGIACONIA: Don't thank corn or an over abundance of it, thank the US govt for sugar tariffs that drive up the cost of sugar in this country, that and maybe corporate greed (corn syrup is cheaper because of the tariffs) or maybe us cheap Americans. it is one of the two, but definitely because of the domestic sugar producers greed also. also the same reason Brazil uses sugar for ethanol but we use corn......
- Raian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well-- now we know where the cocaine went...
- Svoma15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well, thats what they are trying to do..
- fahimi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No, it's not, alej. The coin has a woman and small raised dots on it. George Washington is not a woman, sorry.
A still of the coin:
http://i4.tinypic.com/16aqmvc.png - giandrea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The coin in the video is not an euro coin, there are no silver euro coins (only the 1 and 2 euro coins is partially silver), but I agree that the place looks like good old Europe :)
- account, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you look closely as the man approaches the machine, the buildings behind him arn't American. They are European. Also push pause as the coin is inserted in the machine, its a Euro... I think.
- lfcfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't understand the big toothed monsters that suck the side of the bottle.
- Thorpe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1At last, my Coke finally came out after all that work in the machine. :)
