- Scopitone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+39PLEASE BUY THE DVDS OR THERE WILL NOT BE A SEASON 3!
- Tialys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Go team Venture!
- cameron074, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Awesome show, thanks for the link.
- thepolkapunk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16How about instead of providing a link to dailymotion that is of questionable legality, give a link to adultswimfix, where when you watch an episode of The Venture Bros., cartoon network KNOWS you're watching an episode of The Venture Bros. and makes it more likely that the show will continue to be renewed?
http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimfix/index.jsp - TheWalkingDude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I’m glad other people love this show. I was reluctant to post it, because I want people to buy it, but I figure it’s worth introducing it to those who haven’t become addicted yet. Adult Swim Fix airs them as well, but only in the United States. I think if you love it, you will buy it (I have) – not only will you get better image quality and a physical copy, but you will help support the people who made it and hopefully they will make a third season.
Here’s some other Venture Brothers Swag (mp3s N stuff): http://venturebros.com/
Here’s the wikipedia entry (includes a detailed episode list): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venture_bros
And if you want some other cartoons to check out, here is an AD-FREE index of hundreds of cartoons on the Net: http://digguser.blogspot.com/ - Falldog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11The series wins an extra point for all the Bowie references.
"The guy from Labyrinth turned into a bird!" - kevinmotel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11"Major Tom! Come in Major Tom! Your circuits dead. There's something wrong."
"I've got a mesage for the Action Man."
"Go ahead Tom. He's listening."
"I've loved all I need to love. I'm happy, hope your happy too."
Just too funny! - mattjvw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11The show is original -- it doesn't rely on the references like Family Guy does
- btgoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Pretty much the only "consistently" funny original show on the Adult Swim line-up.
The level of in-joke humor is only beaten by some episodes of Johnny Bravo and Dexter's Lab, as far as Geek humor goes.
I know I am buying series 2 when it comes out, so Jason Publick if you are reading this, you will get my money no problem... - SwimTorrent, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I guess we should be glad that people like our shows enough to want to steal them, but...you know...don't. C'mon!
- Otto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7The show is jam packed with references of all kinds, but they're extremely subtle and hidden, and you don't lose anything by missing them entirely. The funniest part of the show, IMO, is how it simultaneously mimics and spoofs those old Johnny Quest style cartoons and comics. It's just incredibly well-written.
One thing I don't like about it is that it's extremely fast-paced. They cram a lot of material into each episode, so if you blink, you missed something. A Tivo comes in extremely handy.
Dr. Venture: Why are you naked?
Brock: To prey on their fear. Move like an animal to feel the kill.
(Victor. Echo. November.) - mattjvw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Do not be too hasty entering that room... I had TACO BELL for lunch!
- bflfab, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I do already watch that show (and most of the [AS] lineup) and there is no way I could have told you that there are already 28 episodes of VB. Time flies.
- listrophy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6*points at Brock*
"naked" - Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I recommend the first episode ("Dia de Los Dangerous!") followed by the 6th ("Ghosts of the Sargasso").
- AtomicCow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Steal them? You mean they're missing? Have you checked where you last saw them?
Nah dude, we're promoting them. When the DVD comes out we'll buy it and have nice copies of all the episodes with your insightful commentary and fun outtakes and sketches. In the meanwhile we're showing them to our friends and families so that they buy the DVD too.
Trust me, you're gonna be rich! - fatkiduluv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The Christmas episode is the best ever.
- Asvetic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU... By far my favorite show ever! I think the only reason this hasn't taken off is because it was made for a much older generation that would appreciate all of the rich inside commentary that makes this show smart, witty and relevant.
- ViktorVaughn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm a season purist. Start with season 1, episode 1 and continue chronologically. The show, for the most part, is episodic. Each episode does not really depend on the others to support their stories, but there are a few surprises and character introductions that will be spoiled if you watch them out of order and there are a few loose time lines and character developments that make more sense if you watch them in order.
- jgreene777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5It's a spoof of Johnny Quest with a bunch of hilarious pop reference in it. It's like a cartoon Daily Show... but not political as much as social...
- jayadelson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5We talk about adultswim all the time. Wow, you should buy us! ;)
No seriously, big fans. - SwimTorrent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5No, it's not. The pilot was done in Flash, but the rest of the series is traditional animation.
- skoles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Yea, it's truely a great show that's cleverly written. One of the few.
- Thuktun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Mecha-Shiva! Mecha-Shiva! Mecha-Shiva! ...
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@CrankyPants:
"I'd stay away from the very early episodes -- they aren't the best"
Huh? Are you nuts?
The first episode ("Dia de Los Dangerous!") is probably the best episode ever. - inajeep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Easily in my top 3 on that channel. I will be getting the DVD.
- chrisrs6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I hope it doesn't get canceled in its prime like Arrested Development did.
- jayadelson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I love this show. I watched it from the inception... I have to admit I'm psyched they know what Digg is.
- greysun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5GREAT POINT!
This is an excellent show and is a full half hour, unlike most of the adult swim 'original content'. I like the other shows a lot, but I would think this show gets people watching the commercials at the break more, and should be more valuable to CN for that reason. Of course, the length and production quality probably offset that.
I think it's the most intelligent show on Cartoon Network right now. - UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Do any fans wish to recommend a particular episode to be the first one I watch?
Post below: - ajm1240, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5If you are "Sure it's funny" then watch it. It's nobody's job to be your monkey and convince you of anything. You've got a description, make your choice. Watch one episode. It'll take you 22 minutes and then you'll know if the show is for you or not. You may love it. you may hate it. But only you can make that call.
- manningbc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Umm... you're completely wrong. The second season has 13 episodes in it. Go on iTunes and verify it. And the last 3 episodes are particularly excellent.
- SwimTorrent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4We talk about Digg all the time.
- RWVolkl158, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Agreed, the first episode was probably my favorite, and it focuses a lot on Brock who is probably the most entertaining character in the series, at least in my opinion...
- happyfundave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@TheWalkingDude
Don't forget to mention that the DVD has some freakin amazing box art. - patch6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The first few minutes of episode 3 are just brilliant. Some of the dialogue during that segment can be hard to understand at first, so here it is:
Baron Ünderbheit: Catclops! What have you to report?
Catclops: Tourism has skyrocketed at the Well of Bitter Sorrows and the Ünderbheit Birth Crevasse since you enacted the mandatory attendance edict.
Baron Ünderbheit: Told you. Girl Hitler?
Girl Hitler: Benzene chewables have doubled production in ze child slave mines. Dilly-dallying saw a brief spike, but ve stabilized it by removing ze feet of the alpha males, UND DE POPULAR GIRLS!
Baron Ünderbheit: Good! Good! - Antebios, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Pilot: "I'm feeling very still, and I think my spaceship knows which way to go. Tell my wife I lover her very much."
Mr Venture: "She knows. SHE KNOWS!"
Mr. Venture: "Ground Control to Major Tom! Your circuit's dead. (whisper) There's something wrong."
Mr. Venture: "Can you hear me, Major Tom! Can you HEAR ME, MAJOR TOM!

Oh GAWD, how I love the Venture Bros. I even have a Venture Bros. library on my MythTV system. - EComni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Season 1 ep 3 was pretty good.
- Asvetic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Better yet, watch the first 5 minutes of episode 12 :http://www.dailymotion.com/bobnino/video/xk318_the-venture-bros-12
IMHO, best opening sequence of the first season, even though they're all excellent... - dogearedboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"I have PIZZA ROLLS!!!"
Dr. Orpheus is my favorite. In fact that was my Halloween costume this year. - SwimTorrent, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yes! Help us help you! ;)
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nope, the first episode isn't the pilot.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Venture_Bros._episodes - Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I agree with ^
- foetus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2...and Foetus does all of the music for it (aka: Jim Thirlwell). So... if you like the music in the show, check out Steroid Maximus (his side project that most of the stuff is taken from).
- SwimTorrent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hey! I'm like, one of the few anime guys over here. Cut us a break!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ewww... Lizard WO-man!
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm asking why a show is good, and its fans reply by modding down the question and saying "just watch it."
Thanks. - distrbnce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2+Music by J.G. Thirwell...
come on, show respect. - Antebios, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I am in love with Brock Sampson. I love it when his eyes twitch and he goes Psycho!
- LiquidTim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Who is SwimTorrent? Jackson Publick?
