After 70 years, Creator of Superman Gets His Rights Back
uncivilsociety.org — In a stunning decision, a court has corrected one of the greatest injustices in comics history: "After seventy years, Jerome Siegel ’s heirs regain what he granted so long ago – the copyright in the Superman material that was published in Action Comics Vol. 1."

The guy sold his rights in 1937 fair and square. It made them billion...thats business. I do work at work and they have made millions off of it...its life get over it. Start your own company if you don't like it. If this is upheld its really going to open up a lot of legal battles...
Again I thought it was April 1st already.- CitizenSaline, on 04/06/2008, -0/+1You are ignorant of the copyright law. The old administration at DC never held to their end of the bargain, and the original contract was done as PURCHASING of the rights to an already existing property, NOT work for hire. I'd suggest you google better -- one Mark Evanier has made a great study of the rights involved here.
