If anything, he needs to do something about his main character, Donnie. The strange, abrupt G-Man-esque pauses and hiccups that appear 3 to 4 times in every sentence are getting old.

He missed his opportunity to get those tomatoes out of their package on race day. Also note all the images of exploding racing cars in his workspace. It seems he got dumped, since he has no hope of ever seeing those tomatoes. Now go watch it again.

First he disses the chick in the one episode by not being able to fix her picture, then he ends up being with her, and finally she dumps him and he doesn't get to her sweater puppies in time. It's not as bad as it seems if you know the plot.

But this is starting to turn into your typical SNL skit.. it was funny as hell at first, but he's going to the well way too often. I hope he can continue the series but with some more unique humor.
