Of course since it's Gordans show there is plenty of swearing in it. His other UK shows "Kitchen Nightmares" and "Hells Kitchen" are not as entertaining as the US counterparts.

We don't need to dress our shows up with dramatic music and lots of zooming. Plus why does he always buy them a new ktichen? In the uk version he'd have made them buy that with their own money.

The most Gordon ever does in the UK version is maybe bring a key restaurant critic by or work on packing the restaurant for the reopening.

The licence fee goes towards funding the bbc. The only bbc shows I actually watch are the news and Top Gear. I wouldn't mind so much except that from what I can see I mostly fund news journalists to go stand out in the cold and dark, hours after an incident is over. It also means I pay for Eastenders and period dramas. Never mind, Top Gear is worth it.

I've dared my family (who lives there) to give it a whirl, but eating something that reeks of ammonia and rot is not what they consider prudent. Just eat a tough piece of fat soaked in Windex overnight, and you may get the idea.

He believes that ties to corporate advertising would prevent the type of sarcastic humor and criticism brought forward by Clarkson, May and Hammond. Sorta like the Gertzmann firing. BBC doesn't have this problem, since it's state owned.
