Now they make silly hats.

WHAT JUMP!? THERE IS NO JUMP! DID YOU JUMP? BECAUSE I DID NOT! - TGMD, on 06/26/2008, -0/+20hmm almost makes you wish for the old days of the British empire....
I can stand having a massive imperialistic power rule the world, but only if they wear silly hats while doing so. - hadak, on 06/27/2008, -1/+21Forget the hats, #9 is smokin!
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -1/+15You have to look for a few minutes but, yes, #9 is wearing a hat.
- virginian9000, on 06/26/2008, -3/+17#2, #9, and #10 are the goofiest.

btw I love The Mighty Boosh. - anonymousT, on 06/27/2008, -1/+14i'm sorry, but i think #2 is just plain cool
- soupr, on 06/27/2008, -0/+12You cant run the world without hats. Its just not proper.
- bosssmiley, on 06/27/2008, -1/+13We only lost the empire when we *stopped* wearing silly clothes. Look at the ridiculously colourful and highly visible uniforms worn in "Zulu" or "Waterloo"; now look at modern British army battledress. See my point?
- jcaino, on 06/27/2008, -0/+12number #9 is cute...but #7 is gorgeous. and she's all about the pork. i sure would like to meat her.
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -0/+10dugg for cleavage on #9
- infinityredux, on 06/27/2008, -1/+10were they approved by the Ministry of Silly Hats?
- petebert, on 06/27/2008, -0/+8show me the rest of #9's boobs and I will digg this article
- Flipperbw, on 06/27/2008, -0/+7*beats with bat*
- Rabbitez, on 06/27/2008, -0/+7I wouldn't consider myself silly if I walked around in that. I would consider myself awesome. And so would everyone else.
- eatasandwich, on 06/27/2008, -0/+7Kentucky Derby extravagant hat-wearers are following the example of these British folk at British races and not the other way around. I guess horses like hats or something.
- Halsfield, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6digg needs more stuff like this and less political spam.
dugg - ginestony, on 06/27/2008, -1/+7boobies ftw
- hamobu, on 06/27/2008, -1/+7I just realized that Monthy Python was a documentary about England.
- JHaze, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6Right.. Like your gonna hit it off of Digg..

- SpectreFire, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4Let me tell you. It's not her hat I'm starring at.
It starts with a c... and ends with a leavage. - Icyfenix, on 06/27/2008, -1/+5I'm old greg.
Do you love me? - sg7791, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4"Top 10 Silliest Hats in England" That's why.
- ButterBuddha, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4your mother?
- Myonosken, on 06/27/2008, -1/+5The fact the hats are actually ***** aside, the captions were terrible. Examples:
"her head would quickly fall to the floor like so many rotted teeth"
HAHA. And I suppose an American head would eat the nearest packet of Cheetos and watch some Oprah? Stereotypes are funny!
"If you’ve ever wanted to roll around in the famous American Gladiators Sphere for a bit, "
Gladiators has variations all over the world. I'm confused why it needs the American bit in that sentence...
"she’s all “Hi Bahsil! What? Behind me you say? Ghosts? Oh Bahsil, you ol’ –” THUD. El morte. "
Just shut up. - TheKyle27, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4Buried for the hats.
- bosssmiley, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3They'd also have to be hopelessly outnumbered though. Outnumbered + better dressed = inevitable British victory.
- jester55, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3dugg for the old guy with birthday cake hat.
- FeargusMcDuff, on 06/26/2008, -4/+7How about you get the imagination to actually insert the comment yourself with added originality and dignity.
- goddessophia, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3I've always wanted to be important enough to get to wear hats as part of my wardrobe and not be ridiculed. Hats are awesome... true these are silly but its a big deal to these women. Let them be silly its a way for them to express themselves. I think the daisy hat is adorable and would look amazing in a ballet.
- TheRealToma, on 06/27/2008, -1/+4Remember folks, there is a "Bury > Ok, this is lame." option to the article.
- MuffinPatrol, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Forget 9, 1 is where its at.
- thewayigetby, on 06/27/2008, -1/+4I was just about to say how oh so silly the hats were. You ruined my day. Well, night really.
BE ASHAMED - Blydchyld, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Fail points at you two.
RH refers too the 'Royal Horse Guards', As these guys are members of the 'Royal House Hold Guards' a ceremonial part of the Blues and Royals.
The regiment was formed in 1969 from the merger of The Royal Horse Guards, which was known as "The Blues" or "The Oxford Blues", and The Royal Dragoons, which was known as "The Royals". - CressCrowbits, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3I think you're on to something.
We should send all our boys in Iraq bright red uniforms and pith helmets, and also make half the soldiers carry flags and drums instead of weapons. - soupr, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Only if you have a mangina. Thems the rules.
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3i hope i never get too old to appreciate silly hats
- soupr, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Get over yourself
- havocjaw, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Sounds like a personal problem.
- soupdawg30, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Silly hats only
http://youtube.com/watch?v=BHPVuGBc9jI - inactive, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Stonking plan old boy! We must also march the men at the enemy in proper fashion, line after line after line of British boys in their glorious uniforms bravely entering the fight head first, stiff upper lip and all that jazz. Chim chim cheerio and tiddledeedum pip pip arse.
- DMBmelch, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3Dugg for all on one page!
