- SeaMowse, on 02/19/2009, -0/+4I used to work in an area where there was alot of geese - attracted to a small pond across where I worked. Well, to make a long story short - I was waiting at the bus stop, which was right next to the pond, when all of the sudden I see a goose running at me... full force. Knowing perfectly well how geese can be very territorial and somewhat vicious, I was sooooo glad to see the bus pulling up, right at the stop, and just in the nick of time. That damn goose was just about ready to 'goose' me (that's where the expression comes from). I quickly got on the bus, and the driver closed the doors - almost on the gooses neck. It was so funny to see him glaring at me through the windows of the bus door.
Geese can be very nasty and will attack - even when they're not provoked. Often it's because they have a mate with a nest of eggs or goslings right nearby. - reflex768, on 02/19/2009, -1/+5Unbelievable. That honker is bonkers.
