- hokie47, on 10/22/2009, -15/+1195Do a barrel roll
- mjoe, on 10/22/2009, -7/+620It's better backwards: http://thesinkhole.net/dump/dog_jumping_out_of_car ...
- buddyman4652, on 10/22/2009, -58/+663why does he keep jumping out? think he'd learn the first time
- Feener, on 10/22/2009, -10/+581:( I hope he was OK.
- douggmc, on 10/22/2009, -33/+529Yeah .. that person driving needs to have is "doggie ownership rights" revoked. That is no different than letting your 2 year old hang out the window.
For ***** sake people ... roll up your window enough so your dog can't jump out of a moving car!
... and yes ... the video is amusing. - AmyVernon, on 10/22/2009, -18/+384He was thinking, I believe, "Look at that dog! Look at that dog! He's running! I want to run! Maybe he'll play with me! Maybe he'-- OUCH!"

That's all I got. - yetimonster, on 10/22/2009, -9/+337why are there so many dogs in that car?
- justok, on 10/22/2009, -12/+285How did he get back in the car?
- Schmich, on 10/22/2009, -5/+250I'm pretty sure he knows and he successfully executed his plan: due to the car traveling at high speed jump as far away from the asphalt as possible and do barrel rolls when landing on the grass to slow down in the safest way.
- JigoroKano, on 10/23/2009, -2/+208You mean dog's don't use calculus to solve Newton's second law every time they catch a frisbee?
- 0biKwiet, on 10/22/2009, -11/+207Those principals are hard-coded into the DNA of pretty much every land animal in existence. You don't have to know how to formally state them to know how they work.
- Vesuvias, on 10/22/2009, -0/+145Oh yes! Yes it is!
- marshdabeachy, on 10/23/2009, -2/+141Mine does. I trained him to.
- ducktomguy, on 10/23/2009, -1/+139how does this same exact comment for every gif I've seen on digg get dugg up?
- theexitwound, on 10/22/2009, -6/+136My neighbor's dog did that. Lost her leg as a result. :( She's still kicking though as a tripod!
- dtele, on 10/22/2009, -13/+140yes and it was funny
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/23/2009, -0/+125"dog speed" is my new favorite unit of measurement.
I'm going to use it the next time I ride my bike. "Yeah, I was going a 2x dog speed coming down that hill." - bullsfan03, on 10/22/2009, -0/+119"michaelbaydog" -- awesome name choice
- RJ0534, on 10/23/2009, -0/+114Well 1 year is equal to 7 dog years so 1 light year equals 7 dog light years and the average land speed of a dog is around 20 mph but that's human hours so in dog terms that would be 140 mpdh and there are 5.87849981 × 10^12 miles in a light years but in dog light years it is 4.11494987 × 10^13 miles, so therefore it would take 1.22468746 × 10^10 years in dog years.
- Dustmuffins, on 10/22/2009, -2/+110Speaking of lamp polls, I wrote one up here:
What is your favorite base on a lamp?
A. Wooden
B. Plastic
C. Glass
How many lamps do you own?
A. 0
B. 1-3
C. 4-6
D. More than 6
How old were you when you got your first lamp?
A. Childhood
B. A teenager
C. Twenties
D. Older than 29 - inactive, on 10/23/2009, -0/+97Well the dog that was running was keeping up, so presumably the car was only moving at dog speed. With that in mind if a dog wipes out at dog speed, it's usually not permanently harmed.
- Spirods, on 10/22/2009, -8/+103someone should shop this so he explodes at the end
- JamesBondQ, on 10/22/2009, -0/+89My limited googling suggests that hopefully based on the dogs running speed, the car was only going 15mph.
- estarapapax, on 10/22/2009, -16/+104he thought he could be as cool as this cat:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FynBYQc6ows - hivoltage815, on 10/22/2009, -1/+85way to commit to a grammar joke
- borez, on 10/22/2009, -3/+82+1 for effort.
- WiretapStudios, on 10/22/2009, -8/+86My ex's sisters borderline retarded Malamute jumped out of the window for no reason, WITH the collar and leash attached that was tied inside for that very reason I suppose, and was hanging by his neck yelping against the car as I yelled for my ex to stop. I hated that dog, but really it was the owners fault for keeping it in a tiny cage 23 hours a day. It's a ***** Malamute, not a box turtle.
- Passels, on 10/22/2009, -16/+93That Dog doesn't give a FU*K!
- sark666, on 10/22/2009, -4/+77there's a bunch of them in there. it's a circus clown car, but for dogs.

- eanbowman, on 10/22/2009, -0/+68Austin get away from it!
- Sil369, on 10/23/2009, -4/+69how does this same exact gif for every comment I've dugg on digg get seen up?
- shamos, on 10/23/2009, -1/+65good point, guess i better get that physics degree so i stop jumping out of moving cars all the time..
- JDLamb88, on 10/23/2009, -7/+68I heard from an unreliable source that he died.
- haikuFU, on 10/22/2009, -9/+69Most dogs are not that ***** stupid. I've never had a dog jump out the window or the back of a moving pickup. This person's dog was clearly mentally challenged.
- alpha88, on 10/23/2009, -0/+58That's probably the most scientific explanation of dog speed I will ever read, I must cherish this moment.
- Vesuvias, on 10/22/2009, -1/+56Lil brudder!! =(
- Catchpen, on 10/23/2009, -0/+55IED - Improvised explosive dog

- danxmason, on 10/23/2009, -2/+51how does this same exact digg for every comment I've gif get seen up?
- gridbread, on 10/22/2009, -7/+50This dog is a dog*
- Twinnie, on 10/23/2009, -1/+41Wow. It actually is better backwards.
- haikuFU, on 10/22/2009, -1/+41My dog won't jump off anything higher than about 6 feet, and he waits for the pickup to stop moving before he jumps out. I didn't teach him, and he's never accidentally did something stupid like jumping out of a moving car that would have taught him it was a bad idea.
- Langford, on 10/22/2009, -1/+40I hope the poor critter wasn't hurt too bad.
