- RadioFreeOpium, on 08/06/2008, -155/+1338installing as many apps as possible to get a morbid screenshot with the sole purpose of putting it on places like digg isn't why you hate facebook. Its why you hate yourself. And thats a lesson we can all learn. ALL ABOARD! WHOOOO WHOOOO!!!!
- mattcoady, on 08/07/2008, -3/+605TIP FROM THE PROS:
Applications are blockable - brendanryder, on 08/06/2008, -12/+569and a partridge in a pear tree.
- godmode, on 08/06/2008, -19/+542pro-tip: dont install apps youre never going to use.
also, dupe. - arijfroo, on 08/06/2008, -46/+490I hate it because girls can sit on their asses all day conducting their love lives, but then never get off their asses to do anything about it.
The evolutionary process is going to weed out Facebook users. - pathouston22, on 08/07/2008, -6/+431I only get about 1-2 spam invitations a week from a pool of about 250 friends.
Chose smarter friends? - esteskid, on 08/07/2008, -7/+257I'm not sure what you mean this is what happens when you ignore requests and DON'T install the apps
- Cenobite, on 08/06/2008, -5/+253There are many compelling reasons to hate Facebook, but this - by virtue of the conspicuous "ignore all" option - isn't one of them.
- cheekdog, on 08/07/2008, -2/+191but did he spank his friend?
- danwallace, on 08/07/2008, -5/+189Hey. Hey guys. Look how popular I am guys. Hey... hey... hey... hey... hey... hey are you listening? hey... hey... look at all my invites guys... guys? I'm cool, right?
- RudeTurnip, on 08/07/2008, -1/+184Q-tip: Useful for keeping ears clean.
- captaindigger, on 08/07/2008, -110/+279Mistake #1: Joining Facebook.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/07/2008, -0/+150Pro-tip 2: Don't install apps, period.
- drgkstep, on 08/07/2008, -2/+108A) Check your facebook inbox more than once every 6 months
B) Ignore applications
Problem solved. I never have more than 3 or 4 invites in my inbox at any one time. - brizzad2, on 08/07/2008, -10/+110That's still not as annoying as that ***** snorg tees girl (the Im Kind of A Big Deal girl, not the hot no pants girl)
- danwallace, on 08/07/2008, -1/+100Pro-tip 3: Hit the "block application" button every time someone sends you one. I very rarely get them any more.
- inactive, on 08/07/2008, -17/+99Pro-tip 4: Don't use Facebook.
- burstaneurysm, on 08/07/2008, -11/+88Ah, irony.
I think the word you were looking for was 'choose'. - nitman, on 08/07/2008, -4/+74Pro-tip 6: PROFIT
- sgtbutterscotch, on 08/07/2008, -0/+63geez, how many friends do you have to have to get that many invitations? or is just one obnoxious friend? maybe this should should be called "This is Why I Hate My Friends"
- sockpuppets, on 08/07/2008, -11/+73Am I the only person in the world without a facebook account?
- SonnyW, on 08/07/2008, -4/+64Pro-tip 5: ???????
- sickb13, on 08/07/2008, -3/+63Oh facebook. I remember the days when I loved you because you weren't as cheesy and overcomplicated as MySpace.
- ericmerrill, on 08/07/2008, -1/+60What?
- bizzysim, on 08/07/2008, -0/+54lol "1 get naked request"
- Cenobite, on 08/07/2008, -8/+61Here you go, guys. Cookies all around.
- altosaxon, on 08/07/2008, -3/+54That has to be the first good comment I have read in a very long time.
- sdub74, on 08/07/2008, -6/+56Doesn't matter if you have the apps installed, you still get the requests unfortunately.
- phaertes, on 08/07/2008, -3/+52As esteskid says above, these aren't because the person installed apps. This is because his network is full of morons that install every crap app and then gives the app access to their contact list to invite other people.
Oh Facebook, what have you become? - WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/07/2008, -2/+48But she has a nice rack...
- monkeysama, on 08/07/2008, -0/+42Pro Tip... don't be friends with douchebags who spam you with invites.
- chaoswings, on 08/07/2008, -2/+42There is nothing wrong with facebook. This is more a case of having app happy friends. You know, the ones who click on advertisements disguised as dialog boxes and then wonders why their computer has a virus. Then of course it's your fault because you were the last one to help fix his/her computer or the last one who touched it.
- Evi1d33d, on 08/07/2008, -0/+39And people say there's no girls on the internet?
- jordan314, on 08/07/2008, -4/+40ad block plus
- mrmopwater, on 08/07/2008, -4/+39WTF is a "Spank Friend" request?! SIGN ME UP!
- erichw1504, on 08/07/2008, -8/+42What's Facebook?
- sonicularulus, on 08/07/2008, -0/+33Pro-tip 3: Block all app invites.
- springboks, on 08/07/2008, -1/+33some chick named Amanda wants to "bum fight" what the hell does that mean?
- ZenMojo, on 08/07/2008, -1/+33@Pimp
It's not a coincidence. - metroidragon, on 08/07/2008, -1/+31Although facebook has some bad points, it's still an extremely useful site, I find out about many of the parties I attend thanks to facebook, I met up with people from around the world and keep in touch with them through facebook. I met 2 people in Munich about a month back and found out we are all from Vancouver, now we're all good friends thanks to the social networking that Facebooks provides.
It's core use still applies, that has never dissapeared, it's just mired in many unneccesary uses as well. - jordan314, on 08/07/2008, -2/+31Yeah, you don't understand how facebook works. I have "Not installing Facebook applications" as one of my interests. I hate installing them, and my notification screen looks like this too.
- Waynerz99, on 08/08/2008, -2/+31uhhh...was it not five "golden" rings?
- thecompkid, on 08/08/2008, -0/+28If they found out some way to bread through the internet, we'd be toast.
- Luke1h7, on 08/07/2008, -4/+32BUT I'D RATHER JUST BE LIKE "FACEBOOK SUCKS" LOL
- Ryan166, on 08/07/2008, -1/+29she wants to ***** you, in the park, on a bench, after drinking cheap fortified wine.
- warpdesign, on 08/07/2008, -6/+33No, I don't have one either...
- blackinthmiddle, on 08/07/2008, -2/+28I don't have one. Don't feel compelled to get one either.
- MikeSetera, on 08/07/2008, -6/+31..That's why I deleted all of my applications.
- OdinTGE, on 08/07/2008, -5/+30No, never had one. Or mysapce.
- laplie, on 08/07/2008, -7/+32"Chose" can be appropriate if he means it as "[I] chose smarter friends?" . Though an implied "I" is rarer than an implied "you" as in "[You] chose smarter friends?" (but that doesn't make much sense since smart friends would not give many spam invitations) "Chose stupider friends?" would make more sense with an implied "you".
