- Nightenglow, on 10/05/2008, -1/+185Those Star Trek ships need SEAT BELTS!! like every episode they are getting knock out of their chairs, you'd think they would come factory

- spidey0vs0venom, on 10/05/2008, -18/+161A Star Destroyer would kick the crap out of the Enterprise...especially Vaders Executor.

- bixby1, on 10/04/2008, -48/+166Star Wars, now bend over.

- inactive, on 10/05/2008, -7/+68For style I'd pick Star Wars, ya know lightsabers, vader, etc.
But FTW I'd pick Star Trek simply for Holodeck orgy porn. - klowngoblin, on 10/05/2008, -2/+61Lasers Vs Particle Weapons
Lightsaber Vs phasers on wide spread lvl 16
Executor Vs Tactical Cube? or 8472?
yeah ill shut up now - PrometheusBorn, on 10/05/2008, -0/+56Oh please, that is not a Constitution class starship, my friend.
That's a GALAXY class starship. May not have the gunpower, but could run circles around the Imperial II. - inactive, on 10/05/2008, -0/+56It's really not a fair fight. But I mean, a one man fighter did take out an entire space station. They would never design their defenses to fight off a one man fighter.
- inactive, on 10/05/2008, -23/+78Imperial Star Destroyer > USS Enterprise
No question. - inactive, on 10/05/2008, -1/+52WRONG! In Episode four when the Falcon is taking off from Mos Isley, you definitely see Obi Won, Luke, and the droids strapping themselves in right before C-3PO states how he forgot how much he hates space travel
- mllawso, on 10/05/2008, -2/+52*****, there goes my nerd cred.
/Although I could say that my eye sight is so bad from a lifetime of masturbation that I didn't see the identifying characteristics. - WarnerK, on 10/05/2008, -0/+47^^Dugg not for being right, but for knowing Star Wars so well that you can recall them buckling their seat belts.
- roxgod666, on 10/05/2008, -1/+45I was having sex while reading your comment
- inactive, on 10/05/2008, -12/+54"Well that'd debatable. There are basically two schools of thought -"
"Fact: Star Wars. Star Wars beats Star Trek. And Battlestar Galactica." - expert01, on 10/05/2008, -0/+39Sovereign Class
16 phaser arrays
4 forward torpedo launchers
6 aft torpedo launchers, firing both photon and quantum torpedoes
ISII
Octuple barbette turbolaser cannons (8)
Additional turbolaser cannons and batteries (60)
Ion cannons (20)
Phylon Q7 tractor beam projectors (10)
TIE Fighter Squadron
Not to mention size, .6km for the sovereign and 1.6km for the ISII (and the ISII has a lot more bulk as well).
I would pit an ISII against a borg cube, however (2.25km^3). - twertyto, on 10/05/2008, -1/+39Star_Wars_Vs_Star_Trek_11
Apparently there has been a lot of people not getting any. - RobotKeaton, on 10/05/2008, -1/+39You know what's more awesome than a bomb? A giant, flying, world destroying laser.

- 40yrOldVirgin, on 10/05/2008, -0/+34Excuse me for the comment abuse, but everyone should get out now.
This thread was tailored for me. - mllawso, on 10/05/2008, -6/+39You're full of *****: Picard is way more of a badass than Luke.
Luke has emo-hair and a shiny laser sword.
Picard... is ***** Captain Jean Luc Picard. He held his own against several Nausicaans! - aalmeida259, on 10/05/2008, -0/+32I can wait until the day I do a girl and watch Empire Strikes Back at the same time. I would pray for a heart attack because nothing else in my life would ever turn out to be better.

Star Wars fans grew up and became fat Star Wars fans.
Star Trek FTW! - SizroSpunkmire, on 10/05/2008, -3/+311) Imperial Star Destroyer: 1600 metres
Galaxy Class Starship: 641 metres
-This puts the Star Destroyer at a 2.5:1 ratio.
2) Imperial Star Destroyer Maneuvering Ability: Very little. We know this by the reaction time it took the three Star Destroyers to barely avoid hitting each other in Empire Strikes Back.
Galaxy Class Starship Maneuvering Ability: Very good. While the ship tends to sit in space while it does it's thing, we have seen numerous shots of Galaxy class ships in combat (First Contact and last two seasons of DS9).
-The Enterprise could LITERALLY fly circles around a Star Destroyer.
3) Lack of targeting systems on a Star Destroyer. While they have basic capabilities to target larger objects, they lack precision targeting. Star Destroyer use a 'shoot and hope for the best' mentality.
The Enterprise does have precision targeting. While it's flying circles around the Star Destroyer it can easily target all its weapon banks and destroy them with ease.
4) Sheer power output. Star Destroyers use FUSION GENERATORS. The Enterprise uses Matter/Anti-Matter reaction. Matter/Anti-Matter is the only reaction known that is 100% efficient; nothing is lost in the process. As well, even the most powerful fusion reaction is still 5 times smaller then the most basic matter/anti-matter reaction.
So what does this mean? Simple! The Enterprise total power output is vastly superior to a Star Destroyer. It can deliver far more powerful bursts of energy and its shields can absorb far more damage.
Enterprise wins. - getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+27Captain.......Jean Luc Picard...of the USS.....Enterprise
- andypop481, on 10/05/2008, -0/+27Suck! Suck! Suck!

- brandoj, on 10/05/2008, -3/+25It seems that there are points in military technology advancement where you hit a plateau and you compensate by making things on a larger scale - e.g. the Nazis making a huge cannon on rails that could shoot for 30 miles. This is how I view the spacecraft in Star Wars. Everybody's trying to figure out how to stretch laser technology, so they just build a bigger laser and a bigger laser and bigger ships to accommodate them. If the Star Wars technology were really so incredibly advanced, there would have been no need to build a ship as large as an entire planet.
This is why Star Trek would win. It's not that their ships are smaller (certainly they did not lack the technological capability to build massive ships), it's that they figured out how to pack devastating firepower in a smaller form factor - phasers & photon torpedos FTW.
So Star Wars is the Nazi Dora cannon to Star Trek's Tomahawk missile. The cannon is more impressive, but the missile would win. - LucasVB, on 10/05/2008, -2/+23I laughed too. Then I cried.
- inactive, on 10/05/2008, -1/+21Impressive
- TracerMan, on 10/05/2008, -0/+20There's a stargate in the background too! hahhaha
