- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -32/+192Buried for the mistake in the title, regardless of whether it was trying to be clever.

- stupidfilters, on 06/05/2009, -0/+97For everyone who says 'who cares about spelling, you get the message anyway':
The point of spelling correctly and using grammar correctly is for speed and comprehension.
If I write something completely using unused english with terrible grammar then it could either be misconstrued or take significantly longer to comprehend.
For example, compare "FIZZIRE AT MAH PL4C3" versus "THERE'S A ***** FIRE IN MY ROOM" - inactive, on 06/05/2009, -2/+80do the people using firefox not notice the red lines under all the misspelled words?
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+63Is that what those lines mean? I thought they meant those were the coolest words in the sentence.
- BingoPower, on 06/05/2009, -5/+64Whilst I agree with the message, the lyrics are awful.
- Sheepsterbaby, on 06/05/2009, -4/+56I'm going to bed.
- zhaojon, on 06/05/2009, -2/+45It's like rain on your wedding day.
- FordSVT1, on 06/05/2009, -0/+40If people on the Internet don't want to spell things correctly out of laziness or ignorance, that's fine with me, I usually ignore them anyway.
However, when children and teenagers start to believe the same spelling and "text type" is acceptable in school and on job resumes I DO have a pretty big ***** problem with it. When educators start to note a shift in grammar and creative writing capabilities in students because of this *****, I have a big ***** problem with it. The way you spell in a video game forum is not acceptable on a test, or in an essay, and if you say you want to work at McDonalds because "U R hrdwrking" you aren't going to get the job. There are these things called "vowels", you know, the sounds that come out of your mouth when it's open.

And this isn't just about language evolving naturally, because only about 10% of you retards out there are doing this. - handheldchimp, on 06/05/2009, -1/+37Is it bad that I was able to read that without having to stop and think what meant what?
- EggAndMuffin, on 06/05/2009, -1/+33"you're" and "your" have different meaning
Get it right. - Xaevier, on 06/05/2009, -1/+32Ppl cn ctlly rd mst sntncs vn f thy dnt hv vwls
- DamonToo, on 06/05/2009, -13/+44Don't spend too long trying to reverse engineer a URL from Entertonement to download this song. A post with a plain link to an MP3 is here - http://paletteswapninja.com/?p=257
- diceau, on 06/05/2009, -5/+33Well that was lame.
- merreborn, on 06/05/2009, -2/+24On digg, it's hard to know when an error like that is intentional.
- zhaojon, on 06/05/2009, -1/+22*break
You should learn to spell [learn to spell] - GovernmentsGun, on 06/05/2009, -0/+21I wish I could digg you about 20 times.
- theyetiman, on 06/05/2009, -1/+21No but if you shout English at them loud enough and condescending enough - they'll understand. Fact.
- Rhinox04, on 06/05/2009, -0/+19DOUBLE PWND!!!
- benmandude, on 06/05/2009, -2/+21Holy *****, that was an amazing parody. I'm glad I'm not the only grammar Nazi in the world.
- pukiman, on 06/05/2009, -1/+19English is my fourth language, and I still manage better than most native English speakers.
- mnemy, on 06/05/2009, -0/+18Alone.
- MooseOfReason, on 06/05/2009, -0/+18Molocaust, your sentence was fine, except for the "sdeiuts" part. It is 'studies', but it took a couple seconds to register.
- morpheus69, on 06/05/2009, -0/+18Hehe, I once did that with a colleague on a business trip to Japan. A store clerk was talking to him in Japanese and he looked at me to translate as I'd been doing all trip, but instead of translating I just repeated the Japanese really loud.
I kill me... - ileftfark, on 06/05/2009, -0/+17That's why I use IE6 - that way, spelling is the least of my worries.
- brokenyoyo, on 06/05/2009, -5/+21"Alot" is not a word, its "a" and "lot".
Sorry, I couldn't help myself. - mwillems, on 06/05/2009, -0/+16The irony is that often, English speakers are worse at spelling than non-native English speakers. Foreigners often know the differences between "brake" and "break", "its" and "it's", and "there", "they're" and "their" better than Americans. Mainly because they bothered to learn, I suspect.
And spelling does matter. And it's really not that difficult. Dyslexia notwithstanding. - jgzman, on 06/05/2009, -1/+16Preface-fail.
- morpheus69, on 06/05/2009, -0/+15They use so many abbreviated forms that they probably just tune it out...
- bluepepper, on 06/05/2009, -3/+17We wouldn't need them if there weren't so many spelling and grammar criminals on the internet.
- dungbeetle, on 06/05/2009, -15/+29Absolutely genius.
- serif69, on 06/05/2009, -0/+13Your so right with you're comment.
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -0/+12Pimp, I never knew it did that for me. Maybe its because I'm the Jesus of typing...

http://www.d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y.com -> WIN - GovernmentsGun, on 06/05/2009, -0/+11For most of the world, or anyone over the age of 16, it makes it more difficult to correctly get the meaning of the sentence if it's wrote in retard.
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+12i bet you can make it rain pussy.
- elhaf, on 06/05/2009, -0/+10whoosh
- SigmaDraconis, on 06/05/2009, -1/+11No, you.
- ShingoEX, on 06/05/2009, -0/+10Not to mention the fact that spell checkers don't identify context.
You could accidentally spell "on" instead of "won","no" or "one", and the checker won't indicate any errors. - inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+11Orly?
- insanebrain, on 06/05/2009, -1/+11I can haz spellchek ? Being dyslexic on the digital highway is no excuse (no pun intended).
- jdibiase, on 06/05/2009, -0/+9It's not an evolution, it's a mistake. Confusing the words then and than or looser and loser is not much different than confusing its and it's. You may understand the meaning, but it's still a mistake.
- dazparkour, on 06/05/2009, -0/+9I have a bracelet that does it.
- WiretapStudios, on 06/05/2009, -2/+11The period goes inside the quotation however. I know, I hate it as well.
- Jpatano, on 06/05/2009, -0/+9they make these books that are full of words... i think they call them dictionaries... just saying.
