- Tonorific, on 03/29/2008, -19/+78Well done, and funny too. however, I can't help wonder how creationists would feel if the shoe was on the other foot...
Oh wait, I remember now. They would call it blasphemy and depending on where and when you lived, they would torture you to death or raze your village or something equaly as tolerant. - Koush, on 03/29/2008, -28/+63Atheists: 1
Religion: 0 - inactive, on 03/29/2008, -2/+30being a young person I only understand things that are rapped so I understood this, but they left out the guitar solos and skateboards... oh well HIGH FIVE to the EXTREME!!!
[puts hat on backwards and moonwalks away from the computer yo] - Cornbreadly, on 03/29/2008, -14/+39It is for that propaganda film Expelled that has it's credibility lent to it by Ben Stein. Note the first scientist that gets thrown out the window gets a "Expelled" stamped on his head once he's thrown out the window.
Intelligent design will not take over the internets with fancy animation. Natural selection has chosen them to be cast aside with the likes of AOL. - cowcowmoomoo1, on 03/29/2008, -13/+34Only 1? I'm sure we've got more of a lead than just that...
- catachip, on 03/29/2008, -4/+24Umm, to those above, this is NOT promoting atheism, Richard Dawkins, or Darwin's Theory of Evolution - it is mocking it as part of a propaganda campaign for Ben Stein's Anti-Evolution documentary "Expelled" - http://www.expelledthemovie.com/
- inactive, on 03/29/2008, -6/+26Your fairy tales don't matter either when your afterlife actually consists of your body decomposing and being eaten by worms.
- TheAkolyte, on 03/29/2008, -1/+21Or maybe there are bad people on both sides of the fence, and generalization is not the best way to go for either groups?
- boojoy, on 03/29/2008, -7/+26Dugg for Hitchens with the sweat band.
- insomniacal, on 03/29/2008, -13/+29Am I the only one here who realizes this video is mocking Dawkins and Darwinists?
Watch it again and _think_. The Nazi-proganda opening and dorky enthusiasm should be a major tip-off. - GlassCalx, on 03/29/2008, -1/+15It is promotion for Ben Stein's pro-intelligent design documentary "Expelled". See Cornbreadly's comment below.
- inactive, on 03/29/2008, -7/+19Reasonable, logical thinking people shouldn't have to tip toe through Christian's psychotic brand of *****!
- RyanP, on 03/29/2008, -11/+20Go read your god damn bible.
- MewTwo, on 03/29/2008, -5/+14Your comment is made of ***** retarded.
- Pixelante, on 03/29/2008, -1/+10Of course. However, you're too logical for Digg.

Flying Spaghetti Monster
Everyone who tries to expel the Theory of FSM is arrogant and trying to squash freedom speech. ALL theories are EQUALLY VALID! ALL points of view should be taught in schools! - Frost9999, on 03/29/2008, -6/+14Ahh, the loving god who loves everyone so much that he's happy to love them while they burn in a lake of fire for all eternity. That's love right there.
- otakushark, on 03/29/2008, -5/+13The only credibility Ben Stein has is as a eye drop spokesman.
- battlerex99, on 03/29/2008, -7/+14I'd be interested in what Richard Dawkins view on agnostics (like me) is. Sometimes I feel like extreme atheists can be just as bad as extreme believers.
- GlassCalx, on 03/29/2008, -2/+9Cornbread, you are right. Why are people digging you down?
- iucraigmc, on 03/29/2008, -9/+16Lol this video is mocking atheistic evolution... I love how it blew right over some people's heads.
- inactive, on 03/29/2008, -1/+8you're supposed to leave out guitar solos...it's 2008, remember?
- Frost9999, on 03/29/2008, -0/+7Side not - I went to a comedy night in central London the other day.. and a comic said "Why did people get so angry with the cartoons of Allah/Mohammed? If you're not allowed to make pictures of these guys how did they know it was them in the cartoon?!"
I laughed out loud. - Caleb666, on 03/29/2008, -2/+9Agnostic can be atheists aswell. Atheism is the opposite of theism, which is the belief in a personal God. So, in a sense, by being an agnostic you are the opposite of a theist (you don't claim to believe in a personal God).
Anyway, IMO agnosticism in the God question is kind of silly because God is just one of limitless unprovable deities one can come up with, so it's kind of unfeasable to give all of them a 50/50 change of existing or not existing. If I come up with Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster is there really a 50/50 chance of it existing? Is there a 50/50 chance of fairies or Santa Clause existing?
Some of these creatures defy the laws of physics, which so far are the only "things" we can observe to exist and could actually rely on. We have never been able to observe the laws of physics being broken yet, so it would be very unprobable that something exists that can do that. - subscriber, on 03/29/2008, -4/+101 = True
0 = False - these3remain, on 03/30/2008, -2/+8Ah, finally, one of those "smarter" atheists finally gets it.
- attractivetb, on 03/29/2008, -0/+6It's trying to make Dawkins seem pompous and arrogant.
- ReidFleming, on 03/29/2008, -10/+16After MewTwo reads the Bible, he could then read all the other religious tomes and figure out which magical sky daddy to believe in based on the 'evidence'!
- theodenking, on 03/29/2008, -0/+6There's nothing wrong with being zealous about the rational search for truth in all things.
- MixMastaKooz, on 03/30/2008, -0/+6I'm digging you up for posting the lyrics, but I'm not convinced it was a pro-atheism song. It seems very tongue in cheek and as atractivetb says, it makes Dawkins look arrogant.
Remember, the Discovery Institute wants their beliefs in intelligent design to be called science too, and it's no surprise they would be "dissin" on young earth creationists like this song does. Sorry, but this video, although animated well, looks pro-intelligent design and anti-science establishment. - inactive, on 03/29/2008, -2/+8did he say they aren't?
- Stevethegreat, on 03/29/2008, -4/+10I like how science is portrayed as an emotionless machine. Because -you know- to be human you must believe to fairy tales and mumbo jumbo, (or -dare I say- to be primitive human, to be more precise). As if science removes all the awe we previously had for nature, for a pretty sunset, the stars and the universe. Yeah that's right science mechanizes everything and robs our emotion...NOT.
In fact when would you feel closer to nature, when you KNOW how it works and in fact being actively engaged on understanding even more, or if you read an old scripture? Those types really like to twist the truth and present the opposite, no? - StaticThunder, on 03/30/2008, -2/+8Evolution doesn't care what you think of it, it will keep right on trucking along.
- TygerTyger, on 03/29/2008, -4/+10someone with mad skillz that's fo' sho'.
- theexitwound, on 03/29/2008, -2/+7Dick to the Dawk to the PHD. His name is Richard Dawkins. Yo.
- IneffibleMind, on 03/29/2008, -4/+9Love the squid on PZ's hat!
- liquidfirex, on 03/29/2008, -7/+12This is what I never understood, Dawkins has said numerous times if someone can show proof of god, he will believe. He's going with straight logic and proof, that's all. I also don't get why people call him extreme. Extreme is believing in christ, and proclaiming everyone else is going to hell for not believing. Extreme is killing in the name of their god, or denying others their freedom because of their "god". Seriously, how the ***** can anyone call Dawkins an extremist in campison to what he's "fighting" against?
- dp2ihs, on 03/29/2008, -4/+9The lady is Anthropologist and Executive Director of the National Center for Science Education, Dr. Eugenie C. Scott. Well, at least it's her face. I'm skeptical as to the hairy rest being hers. :-)
- mickstephenson, on 03/29/2008, -0/+5I can't believe people think this video is pro atheism. Its blatently mockery of athiesm and designed to portrayed it in a bad light. The person who made this vid obviously believes in ID
- flip2trip, on 03/29/2008, -2/+7MelroseMan So you're saying because of the law of gravity there is no God? I would say that because of the law of gravity there is God. Your evidence that you speak of is your feeble attempt to make yourself feel better about the choices you made.
Let me just say this, if Atheism is truth, then why do you get upset with Christians for professing their faith? I mean if there is no God, then you've got nothing to worry about right? No life after this one, no judgment, just nothingness right?
I would think you'd find something better to do with what little life you have left. - keltin, on 03/29/2008, -2/+7Yeah, luc, I don't understand why the atheists believe it was so good...is there a lack in eddicakshun these days, in those biology degrees?
- EarlOfLade, on 03/29/2008, -12/+16How long should one look for evidence?
There is nothing and I repeat NOTHING in the universe requiring a god of any kind.
And to make sure you understand, the bible is a 2000+ year old goat herder and camel driver scifi book and should not be taken as reality. It's a myth!
Everywhere we look, the non-existing evidence of any gods are overwhelming! - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+4Extreme is spelled X-treme! noob
- jimmy17, on 03/29/2008, -1/+5Lighten up. Its a joke!
- browwiw, on 03/29/2008, -10/+14***** Ben Stein and ***** ID. These ***** are why children are still dying of cancer when science could be 50 years of what it is now.
- mbthompson, on 03/31/2008, -0/+4Wow, must be nice to have the knowledge of the entire universe and its workings at your disposal. I know a couple of theoretical and quantum physicists that would love to talk to you.
- insomniacal, on 03/30/2008, -1/+5"What is meant to be sarcasm is actually true, he is a PhD, he is a Scientist, he is way smarter than most of those who criticize him."
Ahh, yes ... but then he rubs it in people's faces, doesn't he? That is precisely what is being mocked. It's one thing for YOU to claim he's smarter than others. It's a whole different enchilada when Dawkins holds himself forth as superior to others. - brstilson, on 03/29/2008, -7/+11The fact is that NO living person knows if there is a Santa Claus or not, anyone who takes a stance either way is making a leap of faith
- KCLorelei39, on 03/29/2008, -3/+6dancing darwin, LOL. what IS that lady's name, I cannot recall
- Nannybell, on 03/29/2008, -2/+5And you know his HOW?
