- kilodelta, on 10/27/2009, -0/+7look how far we've come - 10 years ago, we spent 90% of our time looking at glowing squares.
- homsar1, on 10/27/2009, -2/+8old story is old.
we're now at 95%. - jserio, on 10/27/2009, -0/+6Does anyone ever wonder what affect this has on our long-term vision? Such as loss of depth perception or blurred vision?
- zephc, on 10/27/2009, -2/+8I thought it said 90% of wanking hours. But I guess there would be no difference in the message of the statement for many people.
- BallCity, on 10/27/2009, -1/+6Yeah, what the *****, this is old as hell. And, if I'm not mistake, it's been on Digg before........
- ZeroCubed, on 10/27/2009, -0/+4Wow this article is OLD. Not even like, a week old - this is many months old. I remember reading this in the Onion paper during the summer.
Still true though. - inactive, on 10/28/2009, -1/+5U meen buttsecks.
- iletumi, on 10/28/2009, -0/+3that's exactly how i pictured a report would look like of an alien race observing us.
- Dundaman, on 10/28/2009, -1/+4Old is gold *****.
Shut up and sit down! - MrFisty, on 10/27/2009, -2/+4I'm hoping 'rectang' isn't slang for, well, you get the point.

- maskedm564, on 10/28/2009, -0/+2Wait, so The Onion writes real stories now?
- trojan085, on 10/28/2009, -0/+2All of a sudden I realise how much I want a CIRCULAR tv/monitor. I reckon it would look great (dependent on circular video cameras). Where is it, who's tried it?
- shnuffy, on 10/28/2009, -0/+22009
- markosfunk, on 10/28/2009, -0/+2one of my favorite onions, funny cuz it's true

- themastersb, on 10/28/2009, -0/+2Remember when Bush took office it had the article about peace and prosperity being over?
- bash1979, on 10/27/2009, -2/+3Anyone else see "wanking" hours when they first read the title?
Still believable, I suppose... - cuevas4711, on 10/27/2009, -0/+1This story is only 60% fake.
- nobody98, on 10/27/2009, -3/+4did anyone else read waking as wanking?
- steeak, on 10/27/2009, -1/+2buried for old story
- Dauntless1, on 10/27/2009, -0/+1In before comments on how this is a bad thing.
- andy3109, on 10/28/2009, -0/+190% seems like a fair number.
- andy3109, on 10/28/2009, -0/+1No joke, but I have losed depth perception. I have been involved with computers since the early 90s and swear that my depth perception has been effected.
- qazws, on 10/27/2009, -0/+1No its the dam cell phone hours spent on that screen.
- anvonbank, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1The first television screens were actually near-circular. The video tubes were roundish. Who knows why this changed. Probably to get the screen to look more like a book or maybe even a stage? It's rectangle because at one time someone made that arbitrary decision, and we have been accustomed to it ever since...
- jp12380, on 10/28/2009, -1/+2I don't get it, is that supposed to be a joke or something?
- UhNathUhMuh, on 10/28/2009, -1/+2Yes. And the title would still be true.
- Dynamoo, on 10/28/2009, -1/+2Submitted first in June:
