She explained that Peter was in the hospital (Peter was her imaginary friend.) Upon further investigation, we discover that Peter was hospitalized due to a broken leg - which he incurred when my daughter threw him against the wall. His crime? It was his imaginary birthday, and he started his party without her. She got pissed and dished out a beating on her imaginary friend - or at least imagined that she did - it still boggles me today.

"Some sports-drink company called KMX is trying to cash in on community-style postering, by posting cheap photocopied "Apartment for Rent" posters around Toronto. The text on the posters is sort of cryptic and intriguing (something about a haunted house), and there are tear-off tabs at the bottom with a phone number and website.
When you log onto the website (www.kmx.ca), it congratulates you for being curious enough to notice the poster, and says that their product should appeal to creative thinkers like you.
I'm pissed off that I took the time to log onto a commercial, and I will be removing any of these posters that I see from now on. I encourage others to do the same.
The website also asks to you provide feedback. I was going to send a nasty e-mail, but that would likely just provide them with valuable consumer research.
I do admit that the approach is creative. I knew the poster was promoting something other than an apartment, but I thought it would be promoting a cultural event or publication, not a commercial product. By hijacking the typically non-corporate medium of postering (which is now under threat of being legally banned), this commercial venture has offended me. - Lunarparcel, on 08/27/2008, -1/+16Yes, the credibility is in question because it is a pretty complicated sense of how my daughter chose to interact with her imaginary friend. If it hadn't happened in my own house with my own daughter, I probably wouldn't have believed it either.
Here is a clip of her (still at almost 3 years of age) reciting her version of The 3 Little Pigs after having heard it earlier in the day at the library storytime circle.
