- Gimpishi, on 01/21/2008, -0/+35Apparently in Digg Comments you expect joke to write itself.
- Negligence, on 01/21/2008, -1/+32When you hear the meow of the lolcat or the roar of the roflcopter, you will know.
- decker12, on 01/21/2008, -14/+42Contrary to what the headline promised, I did not LOL.
- ifonly, on 01/21/2008, -2/+30Site has exceeded its CPU; a prime example of overselling. http://www.bluehost.com (the sites host) offer 15TB of bandwidth, but you won't be able to use that because of the CPU restrictions ;)
- Tyrghast, on 01/21/2008, -2/+28okay so maybe this is just cus i'm in college, but alot of these don't seem russia-exclusive...
- bugsy187, on 01/21/2008, -0/+25What about all of the humor back home?

- justo, on 01/21/2008, -1/+17in soviet russia breakers combo you!
- scytherz, on 01/21/2008, -1/+14I had some websites hosted with Bluehost for over a year. Finally when one of my sites took off, in it's first month of using over 100GB bandwidth Bluehost moved my sites into a ***** bandwidth pool (or something rather). My sites became unusable and as a result I left. Whats worse was support was utterly useless and they refused to believe they had touched my sites. Not only this but they did not notify me that they had changed anything regarding my hosting. Steer clear of Bluehost. Bad news.
PS They censor you on the forums - Soofi, on 01/21/2008, -1/+13I was actually considering getting a hosting account from them for a small personal project, but it turns out they are lame ducks for handling traffic. I like how the error message tries to spin it and blame it on the webmaster's applications for not being efficient.
- zomfg, on 01/21/2008, -6/+1844 digs and its suspended. mirror plz

- inactive, on 01/21/2008, -1/+10How is that any different to anyone who ties their dog up to anything nearby as they run into a store?
- Hanker, on 01/21/2008, -1/+10i think that's the challenge
- ryodoan, on 01/21/2008, -0/+9So you would rather they locked the dog in the hot car?

*Must be able to pull a plow. - scytherz, on 01/22/2008, -1/+9Forgot to mention.. Fastdomain.com and Hostmonster.com are owned by the same guy who owns Bluehost. Avoid all 3 of them
- xbrown, on 01/21/2008, -0/+7Because the guy said so...
- Rainemaker, on 01/21/2008, -1/+8"When I uh, buy my wife, at the start she was uh, cook good, her vazhïn work well, and she strong on plow."
- xt0ph3r, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6Well, the possibility (albeit small) of forgetting and driving away with the dog still tied there?
- heypetray, on 01/21/2008, -0/+6Regarding the pic attached to the article...
I've seen it in Alaska. They build them high (sometimes on the second or third floor of the house) for when they have a major snow storm. If it's level to the floor inside, somebody could mistake it as the bathroom and fall out of the building. - Fracture98, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6Dugg for Laika :'(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laika - EvilStickMan, on 01/21/2008, -10/+16Repeat after me: Where you live, what you do, groups you participate in - none of these are "special". None is particularly crazy and, given the size and diversity of the world, most of them are not even all that unique. "Only in X" is a pointless attempt at being cute by a person who wants to make themselves feel more unique than they truly are.
- S1ngular1ty1, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6In Soviet Russia it does.
- inactive, on 01/21/2008, -1/+6or LMAO even ?
- jdb762, on 01/21/2008, -0/+5You're probably right in a lot of cases, but in this case i think you're wrong. You've obviously never been to Russia. The police drink beer on the streets, people sunbathe in dumps, etc.
If you take a second to think about the pictures, you might see the message that there is something uniquely Russian about the way these people work with what they have. Try to recall that not 15 years ago these same people were standing on bread lines for hours on end. They were lucky when they went to the shoe store and found shoes in stock and pretty much hit the lottery if the shoes were in their size. The country is just now learning to live with things like cars for personal use, private building development, pet ownership, etc.
When your heavily-planned, meticulously organized society unravels and you are left to put together something new with things you have never utilized before, these are the kind of things that happen. So yeah, I would say "only in Russia" because this rapid-collapse-of-communism phenomenon is unique to that region.
Instead of whining about an admittedly cliche word choice, perhaps you might try to understand what those words are meant to express. -
