It's a great Doors style-parody, though, which makes up for the fact that the song's material itself (aside from the spoken word bit which was fairly funny) feels like a rehash of "eBay."

What I mean by "understand" is that when the sound enters my cochlea, my mind cannot "translate" it to words in my head. I don't know if that's the right way of putting it, because I've never had the luxury of being able to hear and speak normally. I only wanted to post lyrics for everyone while I was at it, looking them up so I know what the hell Weird Al is saying.

Language is something that if you don't pick up by the time you're 10 years old or so, you'll never be able to pick it up. Music is handled in a different part of the brain and isn't quite as complex. He probably got his cochlear implants after the age of 10, so his language center has developed differently than most. It's probably been re-written to assist in reading and understanding sign language. He might be able to hear some of the sounds of speech, but most likely he's just picking up the tonal aspects of speech.
