Tom said something and Obama stepped out of the way, while McCain dove out of the way like he was back in Vietnam standing in front of a 50 caliber MG.

Obama (who was sitting on the left side of the screen) continued to go around the table on his side. McCain followed Barrack. Well while in mid-step he decided to shake the moderator's hand but the moderator went towards his right. So John ended up stopping mid-step and went to his left (the right side of the screen) to meet up with the moderator.
I guess that McCain was so pumped with his performance that he decided to act a bit silly. When he did his crossover moved from his right to his left, he just simply made a silly face (kind of like an "oops, I meant to go this way" gesture).
So, ya that's what happened. From this angle, it looks like McCain is right behind Obama, but really he's just off on his side. - info, on 10/16/2008, -4/+43bomb bomb bomb
