- somedudemanguy, on 10/14/2008, -39/+1343How fast does your connection need to be to look at hockey scores anyways?
- MrBrother, on 10/14/2008, -11/+966dugg for convincing flag ripples.
- professorfurley, on 10/14/2008, -5/+771Japanese packets are smaller and more efficient
- juneof44, on 10/14/2008, -12/+620Free access? I pay ¥6,500 a month for Fiber To The Home to get speeds like that. And that speed test means jack ***** unless you surf intra-country websites, or connect only to other FTTH P2P users in Japan. Perhaps if you jump on someone else's open WiFi, but most WiFi connections I've seen while roaming here are secured.
- fs88, on 10/14/2008, -59/+535Canada has internet? I thought they just used smoke signals.
- cnot3, on 10/14/2008, -8/+454Your comment brings your famiry great honor.
- NathanCH, on 10/14/2008, -57/+445Dugg for Canadian flag.
- koenigje, on 10/14/2008, -18/+370But at least you can look out your front door and see Russia!
- Nyaos, on 10/14/2008, -21/+350Oh God the truth.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -14/+321do you know goku?
- dvsbastard, on 10/14/2008, -1/+273Come to Australia and then you will see what the true meaning of "rip off" is...
It's cheaper / quicker to scribble your 0's and 1's on the back of a napkin and send the packet tied to a pigeons foot... - LoveAndSeagulls, on 10/14/2008, -2/+243i just watch hockey porn. i'm real careful about conserving time
- OwlFlavored, on 10/14/2008, -7/+221WHAT? 9000 (kb/s)!
- Rowan187, on 10/14/2008, -2/+213Yeah and I'm in Alaska.. its horrible... 1mbit down, 256k up, 10gb per month, $90 USD.......
- krogothwolf, on 10/14/2008, -1/+194Pfft, we also use the internet for porn, not just hockey scores! Usually we search for porn while watching hockey, its easier that way.
- dubdope, on 10/14/2008, -14/+206this is an awkward submission.
internet is not free in japan and canada does not represent north america. - apena89, on 10/14/2008, -9/+195stop it! you're hurting our chances at winning one free Internets!
- SuperMoses, on 10/14/2008, -0/+161That is our Internet. I just sent this message via smoke signal to an American friend who is nice enough to type it here on digg. I will await his smoke signal if there is any reply to this.
- seraph227, on 10/14/2008, -2/+134I live in Japan so I could tell a few things:
1) Japan's Internet is really fast.
2) It is not free (approximately 5000yen/month depends on what you use and thats around US$50)
3) There isn't a lot of WiFi point even in downtown.
4) If you are lucky your neighbor might be a noob and didn't have his wireless protected. - zinc6471, on 10/14/2008, -6/+129i misread ripples as nipples,
i think i may need help - theradical, on 10/14/2008, -4/+119we stopped using smoke signals because the porn downloads kept burning our dicks.
- handheldchimp, on 10/14/2008, -2/+104***** COMCAST!
- Retrospekt, on 10/14/2008, -10/+107Imagine the torrents! *drool*

- qwertyxuiop, on 10/14/2008, -1/+93true... but Canada does represent Canada
- molotovcat, on 10/14/2008, -2/+81What? I get 80mb/s (connection advertised at 160mb/s) on that test and my internet is $30 a month. Granted, it's not free, but in the US I paid twice that for 1/4th the speed.
I'm pretty sure Japanese people are going to browse Japanese websites... - Galaxylander, on 10/14/2008, -11/+89What, and the US does represent North America?
- Metareality, on 10/14/2008, -18/+95Blame Canada!
- ivansusanin, on 10/14/2008, -13/+84Dugg for Montreal
- dudup, on 10/14/2008, -4/+73Are you complaining? Here in Brazil, I consider myself a lucky bastard which can afford to pay 100 USD/Mo for a crappy 1200 kb/s, the top speed available around here, that never -- ever! -- reaches something near that.
- frsrblch, on 10/14/2008, -2/+66I hear Putin likes to rear his head and come into the airspace.
- holymrack, on 10/14/2008, -2/+66Herro preese!
- themastersb, on 10/14/2008, -2/+66Don't forget that there's a bandwidth limit of approx 60 gb for a $60/mo service.
- PanicAK, on 10/14/2008, -2/+62Everything sucks up here...
- SuperMoses, on 10/14/2008, -0/+55Greetings! It is your fellow Canadian digger here letting you know that I am satisfied to have received 3 diggs on my comment. I see that andregriffen has just commented to let me know there are no replies. Thank you, sir.
