The Digg brigade totally diggs his stories up while totally ignoring the exact same story submitted by a lesser known person.

There are stories that, if MBM didn't submit and made FP, I'd never see them. Some stories I want to see, others I don't. There have been a few that I knew were questionable to someone else's, so I got upset and was against MBM. But what is this place? A playground fight in the tubez? c'mon nerds, we're better than that... okay maybe some of us aren't.
I definitely don't think it's cool to rehash someone else's find and claim it with a 'trademark' name to get it to FP. If MBM could maybe realize that other people have found stuff and he could promote their stuff as well, I think we all win. We see what we want to see, MBM gets stories to the FP, albeit minus his name as submitted, and digg slows up on digging stories about itself concerning this topic. Then maybe that hate would slow up. idk. maybe I'm just wasting my time with this.. then again, I am on digg.. .what else am I suppose to be doing?

And boom, a few hundred people later you have a front page story. While it sucks to be the first on a story, it's not the end of the world if the dupe ends up on the front page.

Instead he submits it a second time (even though digg specifically asks if your submission it completely original or not) and gets his friends to digg his submission.

I've seen entire blog posts just about how MrBabyMan is a nazi. The cartoon was just the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. Sure, some of the things that happen surrounding him are annoying, but there have been at least three stories involving this one user that have reached the front page in the past day or so.
I don't mean to bitch too much or be all "woe is me" and all that, but I'm really starting to miss the days when Digg was a genuine "news" site with a heavy emphasis on technology.
*Shrug* Might just be me, who knows. -
