For instance, I'm right of center, fiscally conservative, hated the damn bailout, have no problems with abortion or gay marriage, no longer support the war in Iraq, but as an immigrant who came here legally and went through all the processes to become a citizen, I do feel that we need to secure the border, we shouldn't send them back if they're here, just keep more from coming in.
At this point I am looking to vote Obama because the Republicans have really let me down this past 8 years, they have focused so much on pushing a socially conservative agenda and a half-asses fiscally conservative agenda.

It is nothing like heroin, meth, crack, cocaine, LSD, it's cleaner than tobacco (as in no artificial ingredients), less physically harmful or addictive than alcohol, less expensive and WAY less harmful than prescription drugs.
But I'm sure I sound like some left-wing stoner nut job to you, so whatever. The fact is that this is 60-something year debate that won't end any time soon. If you don't like weed, don't smoke it. Let's not make criminals out of those that do. We're wasting money by overcrowding the prisons with non-violent drug offenders, many of which need REHAB, not incarceration! Weed could be taxed, like ciggarettes and alcohol. We'd be making money, getting back on track, and easing up on people who don't deserve punishment in the first place.

Our political opinions can be much more nuanced than "Left or Right" or "Black or White". Everything, ESPECIALLY important political issues, has much more detail and colour to it than these ***** in office make it out to be. But when you polarize a populace, it's easier to control.

I've always believed in voting for the candidate that I believe is the best from the choices presented. I'm not going to vote on someone just because they are a Democrat or Republican because none of the sides/parties are perfect as are none of the candidates...
