- codyman, on 09/28/2008, -22/+316yet another example of the oppression of whitey... why can't we all just be equal?
- kruykaze, on 09/28/2008, -24/+283It pays to speak spanish!
- AparoidX, on 09/28/2008, -2/+245Maybe they shouldn't use a dry erase surface for their signs.
- drachemorder, on 09/28/2008, -2/+181Just as long as you remember that "embarazado" does not mean "embarassed".
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -5/+149What if you are bilingual? Do you pay $35?
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -7/+150Yeah, probably changed by the white guy taking the picture. "Haha, I just made a funny internets pictures!!!"
- ani625, on 09/28/2008, -9/+150'imbeciles', yeah, i get the drift..
- Albumen, on 09/28/2008, -2/+130You people are so dumb! Didn't you know that fiftty is spelled 20 in Spanish?
- pintomp3, on 09/28/2008, -18/+126the US has no official language. if we went by your logic, we would all be speaking cherokee or apache.
- Jforsyth89, on 09/28/2008, -3/+111So I was once at a water park and my friend and I decided to go on one of those really steep slides. Ya know, the ones that are almost vertical.
There was a warning sign in Spanish that listed the people who shouldn't go on the slide. My friend turned to me and said "It's pretty mean how they don't allow embarrassed women to go down."
/facepalm - ltchimpo, on 09/28/2008, -47/+143That's fine, I charge a dollar more (on average) for every item on the spanish speaking menus I have. Only had one person ask about it, just say it's the built in cost of having to print extra menus (and the time it takes my servers to figure out what the hell the person wants).
If I moved to Germany, I'd try to learn german. If I moved to Mexico, I'd need to learn spanish. ***** this whole spanish on every door/advertisement/automated phone system. The official spoken language of the US is English. Learn it. - redfred18t, on 09/28/2008, -15/+108Calling the ACLU
oh wait, it has to be the other way around - Lifetrip718, on 09/28/2008, -44/+135Raiden is right ... why he was undugg is beyond me ... thats like 26 people saying its ok to commit a crime. Peoples logic is ***** these days. He said illegal immigration ... not "stop them damn wet backs from come into muh country eatin muh food, breathin muh air, taken muh jobs and women and ol' sneakers" ... He said what anyone in a law abiding country should say ... "STOP BREAKING THE LAW"
- staffell, on 09/28/2008, -7/+97That's what I love about spanish - it's pretty easy to work out what's being said by derivation.
¿Claro? - commenter01, on 09/28/2008, -21/+102Umm, or just notice the numbers are different?
- radu79, on 09/28/2008, -7/+86Yes, but why punish the English speaking people? I am in immigrant too (legal), but I never expected people here to have to learn my native language and talk to me in my native language.
- bonk2k, on 09/28/2008, -2/+79I don't get it. I can't read spanish numbers.
/s - Jalh, on 09/28/2008, -2/+641. borrar 20 dolares

- greeniemeani, on 09/28/2008, -8/+55Yeah, but this is Digg.
- benitojuarez, on 09/28/2008, -2/+49Really psykiv? embarazado means delicious italian red sauce?
- XopherMV, on 09/28/2008, -8/+53If your government is failing you, then fix it. That's what we did over 200 years ago in a little event we like to call The Revolution. Don't wuss out. And don't run away. And don't use your failures to attempt to legitimize breaking another country's laws while living in that country.
- bigmac375, on 09/28/2008, -6/+51doing it wrong you are
- eigenweasel, on 09/28/2008, -7/+45"Do you know how long it takes to get a visa to come here? It took my cousin approximately 12 years."
The assumption implicit in that is that you have a *right* to 'come here'. That is the height of arrogance. It seems the rights of the people 'already there' count for nothing. - psykiv, on 09/28/2008, -3/+39But embarazado does mean preggo.
- ViralMonkey, on 09/28/2008, -2/+33It's also spelt 'fifty' in English.
- BugMeNot2, on 09/28/2008, -5/+35Je ne parle pas espagnol.
- benitojuarez, on 09/28/2008, -7/+36Im aware, I just happen to think people that say preggo or preggers are douchbags, thats all.
- Albumen, on 09/28/2008, -0/+29Are you serious?
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -5/+34that's what they want you to think...
- ltchimpo, on 09/28/2008, -5/+32Er... read the footnote you're looking at on wikipedia:
'English is the official language of at least 28 states—some sources give a higher figure, based on differing definitions of "official." English and Hawaiian are both official languages in the state of Hawaii.'
Er... so... 28? er... er... I think I have a quorum. - Snake777, on 09/28/2008, -3/+30Introducir does mean introduce....
- Krysis, on 09/28/2008, -16/+42"Good....Use your aggressive feelings, boy! Let the hate flow through you! eh eh eh eh"
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -222/+247Stop illegal immigration.
- lofi4life, on 09/28/2008, -7/+29That's funny, I thought English was from England.
- DarkProd, on 09/28/2008, -1/+21Unfortunately, you forgot to take a picture before step 3 & 4.
- PabloIV, on 09/28/2008, -5/+25Born and raised in Puerto Rico, first language is Spanish, and I completely agree with what he just said.
- mrstoneok, on 09/28/2008, -7/+26Money says your ancestors did, or would have done, the same thing. Millions of people left Europe to illegally come here
@XopherMV
I like how you say "don't wuss out" like dying for a corrupt country is something you've had to do. You have one life, take it or leave it, most people are going to try and live the best life they can. That doesn't mean that dying for change is wrong or bad, but it does mean that it's something a lot of people are willing to do (hell it takes balls I don't have).
I don't understand looking at these people like they're worse than you, YOU were born into money wealth and power, THEY were born into hunger and strife. I could never say
"You people are doing something wrong, trying to obtain something I was born into, I think that I inherently deserve this more than you"
EDIT: Wrong reply button DAMN - psykiv, on 09/28/2008, -4/+23Prego = Mass produced poor excuse for marinara sauce
preggo = slang for pregnant. - iChainsaw, on 09/28/2008, -4/+22Gringos are white people by the way...
Pinche Gringos. - tnoy, on 09/28/2008, -1/+19I can learn a couple other languanges, and you'd still be a giant douche.
- ltchimpo, on 09/28/2008, -5/+22Why don't we just use Mexico's immigration laws?
- RLWaite, on 09/28/2008, -5/+22perhaps that was meant to be sarcastic, but there is an alarming amount of truth to what you said
- beaunewcomb, on 09/28/2008, -0/+17No, you tell a senator :)
