You know, people dressed in bizarre cartoon-like costumes, getting hit in the nuts, getting spun around like crazy, treated like human tetris. You get the drill. There is no prize to be won, they are all comedians (for the most part) doing things outrageous to get a laugh. That's why they're so damn weird. These are not your everyday people from the street competing in some crazy contest. There are SOME actual game shows out there (the one you guys have in America, I don't know what you call it over there but it's the one with all the physical challenges. I think you call it Ultimate Ninja or something like that.) but they are few and far between.

        I'm just tired of the stereotype of how Japan is so wacky and crazy, when in reality it's the most boring country I've ever been to. And yes, I live here, I've lived here for longer than anywhere else in my life. I like it here, but that doesn't mean it's not boring.

    The only "game show" I saw when I was living in Japan was the Japanese version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire".
